I Just had a horrible experience here. The saleswomen in this place are downright pathetic, clueless and rude. Arrived for my appointment with no one at the reception desk and had to walk to the back to find someone. The shop was empty and no one else was shopping when I arrived. Was shown where the dresses were then the associate walked away and disappeared. When I wanted to try something on I had to track down another associate who showed me to a dressing room. No follow up, no asking if I needed help or if it fit etc. David's would do well to hire associates that know how to treat a customer. I would not recommend this place at all. First Time in this location, We were shopping for a wedding dress and then we ended up getting two bridesmaids dresses for our twins, and the experience was phenomenal!!!!! We were Working with Casey and her patience wanting to really make this experience so great was so much appreciated. My fiancé's sister and I are both recently engaged and brand new to the world of wedding planning/shopping, so we decided to start here. Not only were we ignored by all of the employees when we entered the store, but when we started quietly and gently looking at dresses on the perfectly imperfect rack we were approached by a saleswoman who scolded us for looking at dresses without an appointment. She then told us we were not welcome into their dressing room since, again, we did not have an appointment. We would have happily made one had we known, but neither the website nor the store itself had any signage or notice that shopping was by appointment only. We also would have returned another day had she kindly explained this, but we will happily go to another store after being treated like unruly teenagers rather than new brides to be. Overall a very distasteful experience that we are both disappointed to look back on as our first dress shopping day. It was an interesting experience, never had an experience like so. A very small space for a Wedding party to help amp the bride up. It was tight for a fitting room, and pushed to the very back. For The location, it was dirty. Carpet was musty, and the dresses were squished together in the front. The bridal assistant clerk Korin was very knowledgeable and kind. Super attentive to the bride and the bride's mother. Impressive for being her first week! Although, There was a blond clerk wearing a striped sweater who was projecting negative vibes with her stare and stances. It wasn't pleasing to have her walking back and forth in the fitting. Really wish the location would organize themselves a bit more before servicing brides. The organization of the store has more focus on non wedding dresses and shoes. Than the actual wedding dresses. I stopped in David's Bridal to order a dress for my sister's wedding in May 2020. The young lady at the counter was very pleasant. Using the computer, she found my sister's account and confirmed I was purchasing the correct dress. Another staff member, Rachel, grabbed two dresses (in different sizes) and escorted me to the dressing room. I tried on my size; the dress fit perfect. Rachel took my measurements for safe keeping. Lol. I purchased the dress, they gave me an arrival date. I was out the door in under 20 minutes! Wow! Love it! Park in the garage or valet. Otherwise, find something at the mall or on the street. Worst experience ever!! Went to try on Dresses with my M.O.H. (Maid of Honor) Who is also getting married this year. So we decided to both try on dresses simultaneously. We were given 1 hour and we were extremely rushed through everything! We were not presented with an option to purchase, provide any information on alterations. At the end of the appointment she said "okay you're time is up here is a business card for the store call if you have questions ". Then left. When attempting to take photos to send to my mother/ grandma who couldn't attend the appointment the attendant was clearly annoyed and requested for us to hurry. When trying on the dresses she did not want to clip us into the dresses .. how are we suppose to try them on otherwise to see if we like how it looks if the dress isn't in our size?! Wedding dress shopping is intended to be a remarkable experience and this was by far the worst. I loved the dress but didn't purchase it because I was not presented with any information or the option to do so. read more

I got my wedding dress from David's bridal and I do not recommend. They measured me to order my dress and they ordered a size 8 based on my measurements. 2 months out from my wedding I went in to get alterations done and they looked at me and immediately told me I'm a size 2 not a size 8 and they needed to order me a new wedding dress. At other bridal stores they need at least 2 people to sign off on measurements before ordering a dress. During alterations they never talked to me about adding a bustle to my wedding dress or anything I had to ask all the questions and come very prepared. I will not recommend David's Bridal to anyone based on my experience. read more

The staff at David's Bridal was extremely rude and dismissive. I was looking to browse wedding dress styles, however none of the salespeople were willing to help or talk to us even though there were three salespeople at the front of the store not assisting anyone. At one point, I was speaking with a saleswoman when another customer walked in. The saleswoman immediately stopped talking with and assisting me to help the other group who also did not have an appointment. Beyond the service, the dresses were low quality with rips around the zippers and throughout the skirts of multiple dresses. I experienced a couple of issues with my experience at this David's Bridal location. My first issue was during my initial bridesmaid alterations appointment. I ended up having to wait over an hour and a half while the seamstress was finishing up with a bride, even though I had an appointment and this other woman's appointment ran into mine. The employee was kind, but never apologized. My second issue was today after going back to the store to pick up the dress after it went through alterations. The hem was not fixed (still too long), and the dress was loose. She claimed she took in exactly what we said we would do, but it felt and looked as though the dress was not altered except for in the shoulders area. I even made sure to wear the same bra/Spanx that I did for my first appointment, but the dress still was too large and not properly altered. The employees did offer to send it back through alterations, but I opted to not do that as it is nearing too close to the wedding date. TDLR; having an appointment didn't matter and I had to wait 90 minutes, and then my alterations were not done correctly. Do not recommend this location. read more

Long story short, I was a bridesmaid that showed up to the wedding party at 10 am (wedding was at 4 pm) and realized I had the wrong color dress. Oh my god, right? Shock, tears, everything. Hahah. Panic set it, and we called DB. Julie actually FaceTimed us (!!!) and helped us pull similar colors. We drove to the store, and she had already set up a dressing room (despite not having any available apts). I somehow managed to find something that fit perfectly and was in and out within an hour!! UNREAL. And she gave us a good deal on the dress. I legitimately would not be in the wedding if it wasn't for Julie! You are amazing. Thank you so much. As someone who has worked in hospitality all my life, I could not believe how my sister in law was treated. As a guest of hers I was expecting at least enough chairs for everyone and clearly that was not the case. I know their show room is in transition but I could not believe my eyes. You are top of one another, can't hear anything, no pedestal to see how the dress lays. Never in my life. I have a family member who used to work at David's bridal and she warned me. Don't ever go there for anything. And guess what! She was right. Jasmine made my sister in law completely uncomfortable and while I know a decent amount about bridal, I asked her simple questions. I got short answers and excuses. We felt rushed and not heard. A lot of her comments made little to no sense and it was a complete unprofessional setting we witnessed. I hope your store improves and needless to say we did not need to know about the stores contract, etc, and why they perform the way they do. And to be honest she could have tried on more dresses if the consultant asked less questions. How many times are you going to ask.. what do you think? How do you feel?! Can't you tell by her face?! David's Bridal definitely exceeded my expectations for a great selection of beautiful dresses that weren't thousands of dollars. I was able to find a gorgeous dress on sale for about $1k that looked as though it was at least $3k. The woman that assisted me with my selection was very sweet and professional (I wish I could remember her name!) and was thoughtful in assisting me try on dresses without feeling as though I was flashing a stranger (I prefer a much more modest approach). The reasons I removed a star are as follows: there are limited sizes available, and despite having to buy a size too big, I was forced to pay hundreds of dollars for alterations that likely would not have been necessary if my size was available. Having worked in luxury retail previously, I expected alterations to be included for the store failing to stock my size. In addition, the dresses on the floor being tried on are definitely not in the best shape. While I understand my dress wasn't CRAZY expensive, $1k is still a lot for a dress I'll wear once. I definitely would have liked to have purchased a dress without stains, rips, or frayed seams. Lastly, although my seamstress was nice, I was forced to wait over 30 minutes for my alterations appointment and then overcharged for alterations I later saw should have been less. It's also ludicrous I would be charged a $40 "rush fee" for a dress needed in 3 weeks, which certainly is not a huge rush. Despite the cons, I'd recommend this location for beautiful wedding dresses in a budget-friendly price range. read more

Brides! Please do yourself a favor, DO NOT BUY A DRESS HERE! Sure, when you're trying on dresses, they make you feel great! But keep in mind they are trying to make a quick sell. Get you in and out, and will lie straight to your face just to get the sale. My experience was the absolute worst. If you're looking to buy a dress in a certain price range, you'll end up paying more for it later because of mistakes made. Very unprofessional. I was told by the sales associate (will not say her name) that once I purchase the dress, the alterations department can change out the cups and add off the shoulder straps. "They can work wonders!!" - is what she said, that's what sold me on the dress because the sales associate told me they could make it happen. So the sales associate got a sale by LYING because turns out, as soon as I get an appointment with alterations, they told me they couldn't do any of that and that the sales associate lied to me. My heart broke. I literally purchased the dress for that specific reason. Since alterations is BACKED UP, I didn't have time to find another dress and another seamstress. The dress would be ready one week before my wedding. To top things off, my alterations appointment was a mess. They double booked me with another girl, not a big deal, but I could tell they were rushing me. The alterations assistant was 5'1, I'm 5'11 and she was asking me to BEND OVER to HELP HER pin my straps, meanwhile another girl was pinning the bottom of my dress and pulling down on it really hard asking me to stop bending over! I'm not a seamstress and even I know this is unprofessional!! I asked her, "do you have a stool to stand on so I'm not bending over and altering the dress and length." She said no. So I nicely said "Do you have anyone else who could help me? Sorry I'm just really tall and this doesn't feel right." And she stormed off, never saw her again. Alterations appointment ended quickly, paid $300 and they moved on to the next girl. I hope and prayed that my dress would be ok when I returned to pick it up. When I picked up my dress, it's exactly like I thought it would be. HORRIBLE. The fabric is pulled from the lady pulling at my dress, dirty, snagged, and I even asked them to sew the straps on, and they didn't even do it! At this point, I realized what was I thinking??? This is what I should have expected from a company like Davids Bridal. I will contacting the corporate office, and will be giving names there. As well as telling all friends, family, neighbors, random people on the street to let them know how horrible this place is. read more

First off I do not want to offend anyone. I do these reviews hoping the business will take constructive criticism. I brought my daughter to find her wedding dress. The person that was assigned to help us was trans. Nothing wrong with that at all! I have a few friends who are. But she was dressed for a drag show. I also have a few friends that do drag shows. It was just too over the top for a bridal shop. I believe some customers may not be as accepting. The draw back to this is she did not go into the dressing room to help my daughter into these dresses. I'm not sure if that was a COVID thing? If they normally do not help? We were not sure. We were floundering a bit and It felt a little awkward. We bought a dress and spoke to the manager about there layaway program which worked for us but they did not explain to us about alterations until the dress was delivered. The financial part seemed rushed as if we were bothering them. The dress came in on time about 4 weeks before the wedding date. But no one called us my daughter had to call to see if the dress came in. Now we find out their alteration person was backed up 6 weeks. They quoted $400 to alter the dress and then said we can do a Rush but it will be more $$. They knew our date before we bought the dress. On top of that the seamstress was rude. The dress only cost $1100. Alterations would have cost 1/2 that amount if we rushed it and we were not prepared for that. We went somewhere else to have it altered $250. That's reasonable. And they did it in 2.5 weeks. This is supposed to be an exciting moment in someone's life. David's Bridal just didn't seem to care. read more

My first experience with David's Bridal was today and it was amazing. I'm the maid of honor for an upcoming destination wedding. We had searched several other stores and were turned off by either the selection or the customer service etc. We were battling some bridal panic that we had not located her dress for the big day. We were immediately greeted and assisted when we walked in. Although the bridal consults were by appt only, they had an available appointment just a few minutes later and we were truly guided through an exciting experience. We ended up buying the VERY first dress she tried on and all of the associates celebrated with us!! These ladies are absolute professionals who love their job and it shows! I ordered 3 online dresses all the same just different sizes. Well when my package came in it wasn't even my order. Someone elses. I call they said they will find my order and it it out asap. A week later I get all 3 dresses. The dresses were okay but not on me. The problem was the return. BEWARE: They gave me 3 RMA's which they took 12.50 out of each of my original price. I was so distracted on getting these back to them that I didn't catch what they were doing. SO LADIES pay attention and don't let them screw you out of your money. If it all came in 1 package then it should be returned in 1 packag. Lesson learned. read more

I've gone in the Ahwatukee location of David's Bridal multiple times and have always been greeted warmly and left to explore and look at dresses on my own. I've never been asked not to pull dresses, bridal or bridesmaid, off the rack and have been offered stylist assistance (being clipped into a dress that didn't fit) without an appointment. I never expected assistance from a stylist if I didn't have an appointment but it's a nice touch. When I arrived at this location without an appointment, the greeting was lukewarm. I was informed that you cannot try on dresses without an appointment. Annoying, but not a huge issue. They were able to get us an appointment in a couple of hours. We went over to the fashion square and tried on dresses at Windsor and Dillards until it was time for our appointment. When we arrived on time for our appointment, we waited 15 min for our stylist. The woman working at the front told us we could not pull dresses off the rack but to turn them sideways if we wanted to try them on. This system didn't really work well because there were other people browsing and turning the dresses back around. When we got placed in fitting rooms, the stylist brought us a few dresses at a time but the sizing available was kind of limited. We waited a while for her to bring more dresses each time. She had multiple other groups to help in between which wasn't her fault. But to require an appointment with a stylist and then not provide a very attentive experience was frustrating. We could have been in and out in half an hour but ended up being there for around an hour and a half just kind of twiddling our thumbs. Bottom line, if you have another location close to you, I'd check out that location first. It seems to me that this location wants to give off the prestige vibe of a boutique bridal shop, but doesn't staff to truly meet that level of service. read more

One employee says one thing while another something completely different and thereby nickel and dimming customers. Once they get you in the doors with misleading info, the price gouging begins. Stopped by this DB's in Scottsdale and found out it was a David's Bridal Boutique store that carries higher end dresses than their chain stores do. I was purchasing a pair of shoes and the ladies who worked there were so kind, inviting, helpful and I left feeling amazing about myself. My experience here was night and day compared to my experience at the Paradise Valley David's. I went here because one of my bridesmaids lives in Mesa, and the Scottsdale location was closest. From the moment we walked in, we knew we should've just put in the extra drive. At the PV location, I didn't have to put in an appointment for bridesmaid dresses (just my wedding dress.) Even when they're busy, they're pretty accommodating in letting you look through the racks, pick out what you want to try on, and wait for a moment for the staff to finish with a bride before getting you set up in a fitting room. In Scottsdale, the moment we said we didn't have an appointment we should've just left. The person at the front made a face when I said we didn't, and then said "well, we're really busy right now and won't have a fitting room available until 1:30." It was a little after 12. I told my bridesmaid that it would be an hour wait and we asked the person at front if we could just look through the dresses while we waited. She said yes. Once we got to the racks (and there's not many bridesmaid dresses comparatively), we picked out a few she wanted to try. We had maybe three in our arms, tops, and a new staff member came up to us and said "we ask that you don't touch any of the dresses." What? This was literally only the second sentence someone there had said to me - not even a "Hi, welcome in," or anything, so I told them bluntly "I'm not feeling really welcome here." AND THEN SHE JUST TURNED AROUND AND STARTED TALKING TO A DIFFERENT CUSTOMER. Seriously?! We walked out then. My bridesmaid felt about an inch tall, like she wasn't good enough to be there. We had every intent on buying her dress there, that day. Instead, we went ahead and drove up to PV, where they welcomed us right away and tried to help us out. We got her dress there instead. Look, guys. I get it, you're in Scottsdale. You have some higher-cost dresses and cater to high-income people. But don't be rude to anyone who doesn't immediately look like they fit that standard. You lose clients that way - paying clients - and word gets around how you treat people. The staff at PV was shocked when I told them what happened. There are better ways to handle things. read more

My bridesmaids dress was delayed due to customs and the wedding is right around the corner so I was nervous. Tamela reached out the next day and she was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. She gave me a few different options to change my dress. I found one that I liked after getting her Input since I wanted something close to what I originally got. She had it shipped to me and the expected arrival was 10/28 but it showed up today 10/27. I tried on my dress and the one she recommended was even better than what I originally picked!! I called her as soon as I got it to express how grateful I was for her help and professional she was. Called to see what their hours are now with COVID and to see if they were taking appointments or if my bridesmaid and I could come in to browse. I called and waited on hold for a few minutes which was no big deal at all. The woman who returned to the call was SO incredibly rude to me. Throughout our brief phone call she laughed and scoffed at me more than three times... It was so hurtful as I was just trying being polite and considerate of their time / policies. This was my very first place calling to go look for bridesmaids dresses and I was hoping to be greeted warmly- this process is supposed to be enjoyable. I was hoping to set up a future appointment if they did not have any available today, but quickly felt unwelcome. To others: I would urge you to NOT go here. I can only imagine what the staff is like in person if this is the way I was treated over the phone.
