This is my second review of David's Bridal of Warwick . I am giving a five star rating this time. I accompanied a friend recently to find her wedding dress. She had a bad experience at David's of Manchester CT and was worried this trip would not go well. Kristen was the first employee we saw and she was friendly and efficient . Our consultant was Chyonne . She was easy going and very knowledgable. We did not feel rushed or that we weren't a priority. The bride had already purchased a dress in Manchester but was not happy with it . On this trip she found the dress of her dreams and had no problem exchanging the original dress. I truly believe Kristen and Chyonne made the experience one that gave her confidence in her decision and not pressured to buy something she was not sure about. Helpful staff and seemed like a good selection of dresses for brides and bbridesmaids. It was very open a nice big store. I went to get a fun gift for a friend, bride sweats and a bride party game. They had a variety of accessories too. read more

I needed an evening dress for a special event and made an appointment as suggested on yelp. When I arrived on time for my appointment. I was told I would have to wait because they were too busy at the time. When I asked what the point of making an appointment was when they couldn't take care of me when I arrived as scheduled, the receptionist called a girl over who helped me select a few dresses, put me in a dressing room and then disappeared to apparently assist others. If you are looking for attention when you are selecting that special dress, go somewhere else where you will receive the attention you deserve. read more

I had a horrible experience at the David'S bridal in nashua NH. I then found this one in Warick,RI closer to my CT home. I called and gave them a list of literally 30 dresses to see if they had them all for me to try on. The lady on the phone was nice and helpful. I set up my appointment and they had all the dresses I asked for pulled and ready for me to try on. This was so great and helpful. I found a dress that I loved and purchased it. It came in and I called to say I was on my way to get it. Once again as soon as I showed up they had it waiting at the front desk for me to try on and then take home! I came here for my wedding gown in August of 2008- married the following August. I wish I had been on here earlier to taut my experience, but these are time challenging days! I had a wonderful consultant, and, while sometime everyone seemed a little tired, as a previous retail worker- I get it. Their selection is great for sized 4-14- which was perfect for me, and they are always getting in new novelty items, headpieces and party-type dresses. Ordering can be confusing, but taking your time and being prepared to give and take is what it takes to plan your wedding. The managers there will offer their assistance if you're having trouble... and weekends can be trouble! It's super busy Saturday and Sunday- so be prepared to browse and be patient. To be honest, I've had more issues with their customers, than staff, when it comes to being nice and understanding. A specialty store calls for a specialty customer- sometimes this area just doesn't show those clients. If you're looking for a TV show experience, go spend $13,000 in NYC. If you want friendly women who know their gowns; give David's a try. read more

I was in there yesterday with my Aunts. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the receptionist who seemed a little rushed and her script was on point. We looked around for not even two minutes before Samantha came over and I showed her what I wanted to try on and she found the dress in the snap of a finger. (I looked on the DB app prior to the appointment and that was so helpful)When I tried it on I instantly fell in love. Tried on another dress,wasn't too impressed so went back to the other one and said yes to the dress. The hardest part I had was picking a veil. I was very nervous since I haven't worn a dress since my 6th grade father daughter dance and I am now 26. Samantha made me feel very comfortable and was super understanding! read more

I was so disappointed in the beginning with my sales rep. She convinced me to purchase a dress that was too small about a year out from my wedding... I went to try the dress on Sunday and just as expected I hadn't lost enough weight to fit the dress and not enough time to loose more weight and alterations to be done. I called immediately and spoke with Linda I wa sin years explaining my situation I love my dress and didn't want to buy a different one or go somewhere else.. She was so calm and nice and said just come right in tomorrow we will get it fixed for you.. I drove the 45 minutes got there right when the store open and Donna assisted me without a question and had me try the next size up which was initially what I tried on last august. And went right into the system and exchanged out my dress for me.. Thank you so much I to Donna and Linda great customer service!!! So I previously posted about my experience at David's bridal with the sales rep and the wrong dress size... Well I went to pick up my exchange today drove 1 he there and the top of the dress looked like it was burned and the top was completely snagged and the dress looked used.. The sales rep was absolutely fabulous but I'm so sad that I keep having to drive 1hr there and 1 he back for issues.. Thank god my wedding is 4 months away and I have just enough time to get the dress correct but I'm at the point where I don't even want to deal with this company anymore and rather go else where and rush to get a dress.. Love Janelle! She takes all of your wants/needs into consideration and won't let you buy something you don't look beautiful in! She's got a great personality and makes the whole experience so much fun! I went to get my maid of honor dress on a day she wasn't there and was NOT impressed with the lack of help I was given by other employees. Also I got a dress that I ended up returning because I didn't like it. When I next saw janelle she right away knew I wouldn't love my dress. And motivated me to exchange it for another one I was considering but couldn't try on because they didn't have it in store. I trust her that much!! read more

The team at David's Bridal was so helpful. Specifically tailor Sean Mitchell and stylist Cynthia Richard. I came in without a clue about the type of dress I would need for a black tie wedding. Within minutes they pulled at least 7 dresses in my size and had them waiting for me to try on. They turned a very stressful situation into a breeze - and I am incredibly grateful!!! read more

I walked into the store on June 10 2019. I was looking for some dresses for my bridesmaids. I am the bride. I found a few dresses and Cynthia was helping me with every question I had. I was told I could bring my wedding dress in with my bridesmaids on July 20th. Sadly she wasn't there but I wish she was! I walked into David's bridal with my girls and once I said we were here for a bridal party appointment Linda grabbed the dresses and told my girls they can go into a dressing room and try on the dresses. She then walked away, I had to walk up to the front desk multiple times and ask for help cause she wasn't around. I understand if my girls and I were walk ins but we had a set appointment and I was suppose to have someone help us with everything. Unfortunately with the experience my girls and I had, I will not be going to that location anymore. I felt unwanted in the store and I'm the bride. I shouldn't feel that way in a bridal store. read more

Had a wonderful experience finding my dress and my bridesmaid dresses, but after you've spent your money, customer service goes downhill. I purchased the veil that I tried on with my dress in store, and trusted that I was handed the correct veil to checkout with by the sales person who said I didn't have to take it out of the plastic packing bag. Come to find out a few weeks later after taking the veil out of the bag, it is not the veil I tried on in store and useless to me. Store won't take it back. Then, the MOH dress was the correct color and size when it came in, but wrong dress. They reordered the dress, but didn't care at all that it was wrong. The response was just "ok, we'll order another one". How about we're sorry? Would have made a huge difference. No one cared at all. Unfortunately at this point we've spent about 5K on this wedding at this DB but we will not be doing any alterations there or purchasing any more accessories. They're lovely until there are problems and the money has already been spent. read more

The only person worth seeing here is Julie. She was amazing when I bought my wedding dress. When I went back for my bridesmaid dresses and my flower girl, she was not there and I got another consultant who was being bounced around from client to client and I ended up having to zip all of the dresses myself. This was a friday morning, you think they would've planned to have alot of business this day and have been fully staffed. I'm not entirely displeased, but I've received better service from little mom and pop shops..and think that DB needs to step up their game! read more

I had a wonderful experience while I was there. The staff was very nice. But after spending 2 hours there and having fallen in love with a dress, I was told that I could not get it. Why was I shown something that I couldn't have. Redeeming factor was that I did contact customer support and they were able to help me get the product that I wanted, but then they tried to rush me through it, and because of already planned things I couldn't get to it right away, but I put my foot down and they were able to give me an extra day. I'm torn because, ultimately I got what I wanted, and I am so happy for that. But should I have to have gone to those measures? Decide for yourselves, to what extent you are willing to shop. read more

Marissa was very helpful in directing me to the mother of bride dresses I needed and accessories as well. And was very helpful while I was trying on dresses. She also was able to get me into alterations at this time and the ladies there were also very helpful I picked up my dress last week and it fit like a dream they did perfect work I highly recommend this shop! What can I say. Rude rude rude. You certainly get the quality and Customer service you pay for at David's bridal. It's a shame to. Was here two years ago and experienced the same level of service. My best friend and I went here for her wedding as I am the maid of honor I was there for every fitting. Every time we were rushed by the staff. My best friend and I are both pregnant, and we informed the staff of this. My first dress that came in was torn up at the end of the dress. My second dress was the wrong size, but the staff tried to tell me it would fit. Knowing I'd be seven and half months pregnant at the time of the wedding I knew there was no way. I ended up ordering a size I was comfortable with, ignoring their input. My dress is finally squared away. The bride on the other hand, was assured her dress would fit fine being five months pregnant. Here wedding is less than two weeks away and the dress finally came in, they did not notify us once that our dresses were in, we had to follow up with them, thankfully we did. So now the bride has a dress that is too snug on her baby bump. They tried to get her to exchange it to a different dress they had in store which was marked up with makeup and other stains, the did offer to clean it but it was not what the bride wanted. so after arguing with the staff them saying they could not order her original dress in a larger size a manager came and quickly said the dress was in the warehouse in the size we need for her. Hopefully the dress is in 13 days otherwise the day is ruined Thanks to David's bridal. Now keep in mind we've been aware of our pregnancies since January and end of February, plenty of time for us to shop and decide. If the pushy staff had as much knowledge as they have time to gossip about previous brides maybe they could have got something right. Absolutely horrible service, staff is the worst. I will NEVER go to David's bridal again, and I will warn all brides I know. read more

I purchased my wedding dress, party dress, bridesmaids' dresses, and my mother's dress at David's Bridal in Warwick. Both the sales consultants in the front and the associates in the Alternation were FABULOUS. I cannot say enough good things about this store and its people! First, let me start with the sweet ladies in Alterations - Rosie and Estine! Rosie did my first fitting and she was so sweet the entire appointment! There was a young lady there (a RIC student) who was also very helpful and so sweet! We all chatted about family and friends and they made me feel so comfortable throughout my entire appointment! She also did an amazing job with my bustles and hem! The dress fit perfectly! I absolutely love my dress! When it came time for the alterations for my party dress and my bridesmaids' dresses, Estine (the Alternations manager) was heaven sent! I had to change my bridesmaids dresses 3 weeks before the wedding and Estine made sure it got done! My bridesmaids looked beautiful in their dresses on the day of my wedding. I appreciate that Estine got the bridesmaids' dress alterations done so quickly and I loved every interaction I had with her! Every time I stepped into the Alterations dept, I left with a smile on my face bc the people are just so warm and friendly. The sales consultants in the front were also wonderful to us! The original bridesmaids dresses I ordered were from another store. Due them not fitting one of my bridesmaids well, I had to order new one's, but even with a rush order at the original store I bought them, the earliest I would get them would be 4-5 weeks and my wedding was 3 weeks away. I went into David's Bridal in Warwick on a weeknight in a panic with 1 hour left before closing! Two of the sales consultants (whose names escape me right now) reassured me that they could find dresses that could be shipped on time and rushed through alterations in time for my wedding. They quickly pulled an inventory of the styles that were available in the sizes I needed. Within minutes, I selected new dresses and they submitted the order. The dresses came in within a week/week and a half and made it through alterations without difficulty or problems. There was another young woman there (she helped me carry my dress out to the car when I picked it up)- she recognized me every time I visited the store and always greeted me so warmly even though she wasn't my sales consultant. I want to say a huge THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT THE WARWICK DAVID'S BRIDAL! You helped me get through a very big piece of my wedding without any stress! You are all so kind and I will always remember that! read more

My sales lady Jenell was GREAT! Alteration lady VERY RUDE on 2 phone calls AND in person. could not find my dress. After 10 minutes Jenell did & kept apologizing. I kept telling her not to, as it was not HER fault! I spoke w/the manager hoe Jenelle was amazing from the start & about the issue w/alterations. She asked if I had an appointment w/alterations, I showed her the 2 email confirmations on my phone & it seemed as if I was bothering her! I then gave Jenell a tip & took my dress elsewhere. OH, they also were just hemming the bottom of my dress a few inches & needed it for 4 weeks, which was cutting it close to my wedding date. I asked why so long, she said we can put a rush for $25 more (this was BEFORE this incident!) read more

While understanding that everyone starts somewhere, and that David's photography prices reflect that, I feel they should vet their people better than they do. We found out 1 week before the wedding that our photographer's contract was not renewed. This decision was made 5 months prior, and we were not notified, or offered a different photographer. The day of the wedding the photographer showed up late, was creatively uninspired, followed family photographers to snap the same exact photos, did not take all the photos of family members requested, and spent time taking photos of guests in the photobooth! Yes, we got a verbal appology from David's, but that is it. DO NOT USE THEM! read more

David's bridal is by far the rudest people . Your looking for a dress for the biggest day in your life and they don't make it special at all. I used them for my wedding and loved my dress but hated David's bridal . Now my niece is getting married and she went to them and they are so rude to her over the phone also. I'm so upset . What an awful experience we had at this David's Bridal! I had setup an appointment for my maid of honor & two bridesmaids to look for dresses. When we arrived, the consultant helping us told us to hang around while she looked for dresses that I had favorited online. We stood around waiting, and were not offered a place to sit until she had finally found a dress style. Once the consultant brought over the dresses, she disappeared! I ended up having to help my friends zip up/down the dresses myself each time they tried a new one on. Once we finally chose one, the girls were NOT measured for a size. The consultant just said "oh those look good, you should be fine" or "yeah one size down SHOULD be better". So unprofessional. Fortunately, we did end up choosing a dress that everyone loved. HOWEVER, once we went to purchase the dresses, the consultant messed that up as well. Somehow, one of the girl's names ended up on two receipts, and we JUST realized that the customer/client name (which should be my name) is wrong! It is the name of the other girl the consultant was also helping at the same time. Now I will have to call them in order to fix this, so it can match my Men's Warehouse account. I am SO glad that I decided NOT to come here for my own wedding gown............Ugh! read more

I really do like David's Bridal! I got my wedidng dress for $99... and everyone thought it was MUCH more expensive. Actually, the woman helping me try on my gown gave me her honest opinion between two dresses- one priced at $99 and one priced ad $399- she told me the $99 looked better! So I know she wasn't trying to upsell me... Also, I love the bridesmaid dresses because they come in small sizes that actually fit my body, and they are very flattering and not too pricey. I like that all of the members in my wedding party also got a discount on the bridesmaid dresses too. Definitely a great way to go if you don't want to spend a fortune on your wedding, but sill look like a million bucks! read more

Solutely the worst service I've ever had I do not recommend this place to anybody previously I had called and asked them if I could put the dresses on sale on layaway and the lady on the phone had told me yes so the next day I went I went in with my friends friends which were which are also getting married married did try on dresses wedding dresses at that time I asked them agine and was told yes so we all started trying them on after I finaly found my drees the one I told fuel ok im done bring It to the counter please I got dressed and just as i came out of the folk all if a sudden It truned in to no u cant so i went to the mánager to talo to her becuse not once but 2 www told I. the mangers responde was im sorry guey told u that but Its not going to happen that I can come back when Its Rull price and put It on layaway for 1800 Rudy Were rude and pushy lieing and I will never go back fuere ever agine a but anything from them i got Lucky that somebody was listening to this all and saw and heard eBay was going on a Walker Up an bought my drees for me so i got the dress but still guey Were no hell if I could vive no stars I would if u do go fuere dont exspcet much more then pies troubble and rudeness read more

I was coerced into making an appointment here at a wedding expo. It was a big mistake. I'm not sure why I even needed an appointment as no one helped my 6 bridesmaids and I anyway. The woman showed us the dresses, made 1 terrible excuse as to why they didn't have any dresses in any colors or sizes that we needed and then disappeared to handle her "bride" as she stated. Anytime one of us asked a question she just responded with, "Yeah we don't have that. Everything we have is out here. They don't send us all the dresses." This "appointment" was a total waste of time. She never checked back in with us after my bridesmaids tried on random dresses to get a feel for what the color/style was SUPPOSED to look like. We left without saying goodbye and I'm sure she could have cared less. I wouldn't suggest going here for any bridal needs, they are truly unhelpful. read more

This is my second daughter getting married in less than 12 months. The first wedding party dresses were bought at a discount shoppe in Fall River, MA. I thought the staff there were helpful but rude and vowed never to go back which is why The dresses for the second wedding were bought at David's Bridal. This place was even worse. The sales staff (I can't even call them help) chew gum. It takes an act of congress to get somebody to wait on you. Before the dresses were actually paid for I couldn't back up without stepping on a sales-person. When my daughter and I went to try our dresses on someone went and got our dresses a vanished into thin air. Turns out she was helping the only other customer in the store (even though there were several sales-persons on duty). This other customer had not yet bought anything so she, I guess, was a better prospect. After all, we had bought what we needed an there are no refunds. My daughter and I stood there in our dresses and said "why are we here?" We'll see what happens when alterations time comes. Then the gum chewer asked if we were taking out dresses home, I said "no", that we'd leave them for the alteration fitting. She tells me I can't leave them they don't have storage there. What the hell did she ask me for then? I'd tell any bride to wear a hefty bag rather than go there. I guess decent customer service is a thing of the past. I thought the MA store was bad, they're Lord & Taylor compared to David's Bridal's WalMart. read more

So I made my appointment for a bridal consultation at this location.I had chosen my favorites online, and had a great idea of what I wanted. Having tried on wedding dresses at another David's bridal, I knew what sizes I needed. I relayed this to my consultant, who questioned me on my size. She left me to grab a slip and a bustier (neither of which were the right size, and even after I corrected her on size told me they run weird and insisted on leaving me with both), and told me to get into the bustier and the slip. Now, I don't know if you have ever put a bustier on yourself but that was quite a challenge. So after she left me with the too large slip and to put my bustier pin myself. I tried on the first dress (which I put on myself). It didn't take me long to discover I wasn't the only person she was helping. I scheduled a 90 minute appointment, only to find that someone treated me like I was wasting her time? I put on and took off a few of the dresses by myself. 45 minutes later, I was in my car. I could not handle another minute of my time being wasted. If she didn't have time for me, they should have rescheduled the appointment. Why should I have to make an appointment for a consultation if this is how they treat you? I will never visit this location ever again. I'll go the extra distance to go to Manchester. This place plain sucks. read more

I went to the Warwick Davids Bridal to look for bridesmaid dresses. We were given Deb to help us. When she first met with the girls and I she had a sheet and asked what colors and style dresses we were interested in and wrote everything down including style numbers. When it came time for the girls to try on the dresses, Deb was not pulling out the right color/dresses that we had talked about. I understand the store does not always keep every color dress on site but what we were looking for was right there in the store on the racks, we saw other girls trying on the exact dresses we were looking for. My mom and one of my bridesmaid's kindly asked another attendent if we could try on the dress and they gave us the dress right away. We also asked Deb if we could get swatches for the dress colors that were not in store and we only got huffs and puffs and annoyed looks from her. She was more interested in putting dresses away that the girls tried on then pulling the ones that we needed and asked for. We also had some plus sized bridesmaids that were only able to try on two dresses because they didn't have dresses available in there sizes. That is completely embarrassing, unacceptable and discriminatory. Deb was not helpful nor supportive in what should have been a happy time in picking out our girls bridesmaid dresses. I will not recommend anyone to come to this store in the near future nor will I return. read more

So yikes, there are some terrible reviews for this place. The best advice I could give to prospective customers is to give them a shot. I had my initial doubts, and I also had some doubts once I got inside. They are very attentive regarding scheduling, ensuring your schedule time and date are correct, etc. The woman checking everyone in was also very pleasant. I am very happy (after the fact) that my consultant Delfina pulled all of my favorites (I didn't like the way any of them fit) and she then decided, against my wishes, to hand me a strapless gown. I tried it on and that was my moment and my dress - except that it was strapless. She fixed this by offering some cap sleeves that can be added on during alterations and needless to say I ordered this dress and picked it up 3 weeks later. Everyone in my party was in tears and we even made a few bridesmaids next to us teary, tissues all around!! Honestly, disregard reviews and try on dresses where you want. Not everyone can have the perfect experience and unfortunately, I feel like a lot of people have good experiences and forget to write about them. I would definitely recommend at least trying on some dresses here and being open minded you never know what you will like/won't like and the consultants really do know their stuff! Down side here however is that some of the staff is INCREDIBLY rude, if it weren't for Delfina (who was genuinely happy that I found and loved my gown) I probably would have looked elsewhere. My 4 bridesmaids also tried on a few dresses and liked their first pick (a gorgeous Vera Wang gown) which fit all of them (ranging from size 2 to size 18) so I was very happy with that. I've heard some horror stories with orders so I will update on how that goes for my girls, dresses are slated to be in for June...fingers crossed! read more

If I could give this place a zero I would! So I've been thinking about what to say about this for a day now. DO NOT go to davids bridal in Warwick! The consultants there are rude, disrespectful, and don't care at all about a bride planning a wedding from another state! One of my bridesmaids Sara went there to check out some bridesmaid dresses early and not only was the woman horrible to her but she was horrible to me on the phone as well! When Sara informed me that they didn't have the bridesmaid dress I wanted they said I'd have to buy the dress and have it shipped to the store so all of my girls can try it on, and they wouldn't have it until the beginning of May even though they had it at another store. I asked if they could send it from that store to this one and all she kept telling me and Sara was no we can't do that... Excuse me? You couldn't be a little more helpful and give me other options other than giving you money for something that I haven't even seen yet? Then when she went to look at other dresses NO PLUS SIZE SAMPLES!!! I thought davids bridal was supposed to cater to brides and bridesmaids of ALL SIZES!! Thanks to your horrible service and insensitive consultant that added to my stress of planning a wedding out of state in 6 months you just lost out on thousands of dollars of business!!! read more
