I went in because I'm not an expert and wanted knowledgeable advice, but I left feeling unwelcome and talked down to, which was disappointing given the positive reviews I had read beforehand.

Come on, in this economy who doesn't love a deal? If you can't find one of the clearance sections, just ask someone. All of the employees are so nice and helpful. No joke, we got more done in one day with them than three weeks with the Floor Store. Stay far away from the Floor Store unless you want overpriced material and slow, ineffective communication.

That generosity and honesty is rare. Her staff, Sam and Samantha, were also extremely friendly and made me feel like I was part of a family business. Lori has been in flooring for decades, and you can tell -- she shared nuggets of wisdom I wouldn't have gotten anywhere else, all free of charge.
