Tried to give them another shot out of starvation and its location being closest to my residence... what a mistake I've made, disgusting as usual floppy, toppings thrown on... soggy soggy pizza pies. On top of that my delivery driver was walking with my two pies im the middle of January from island park to Long Beach. No wonder my pies were barely warm, in addition to that you pick up a slice and all the toppings drop Right off if the soggy floppy pizza as shown in the photo. Gross. One of my favorite Italian restaurants in this area! Came here last night for a dinner after a long work week. I ordered a dozen baked clams, a Cobb salad (with no beets!) and a chicken parm! Everything was great, except for the breadsticks which seemed a little stale. I order a Pinot noir to drink and my boyfriend had a toasted beer from a fresh keg which we really appreciated. Our server was also very sweet and attentive as well as the rest of the waitstaff who were quick to refill our waters and helped to keep the table clean. Will definitely return! Part 1 traditional Pizzaria - Davincis is the best pizza in Long Beach or Island Park. The Grandma is really nice, got the crunch the sauce is just sweet enough and it exposes Ginos for the sham joke it really is...but I digress. Part 2 - Restaurant - the service is excellent and in 3 years O have never had a bad experience. Everyone is friendly it's like you magically hot transported off long island to a place where non dooshbags live. Also the riggatoni chicken meatballs are what I want to be buried in. Hi this is Davinci's just wanted to tell you your food had been delivered it's outside your door. Hey wait no I'm sorry I didn't order any food... well someone ordered for you and it's all paid for, enjoy!! What? Truth be told I have amazing friends. Opened the door and there was a bag of deliciousness...Hot, fragrant chicken soup with lots of chicken breast, noodles, carrots so good. Annnddd tortellini en brodo and a yummy chicken mozzarella and roasted pepper sandwich on a garlic bun. Wow!!! How nice is that! So they have now become my go to for Italian delivery. Lucky me!! AMAZING! went here for the first time last night for an anniversary and it was wonderful! First of all the staff was super friendly and kind! I would honestly come back just for them! They checked in a lot to make sure we were good with bread, water, etc. But onto the food: five stars for everything I tried! First we ordered the calamri fra diavolo and it was SO TASTY! definitely the best calamari i've ever tasted. For dinner I chose the penne pollo caprese and it was so yummy and fresh! the wine sauce had a great flavor and the pasta was cooked PERFECT. my boyfriend also had the chicken francese with fettuccine alfredo and even that smelled amazing! Well, based on reviews I was very excited to order from here and hopefully receive good food. Let me start with I ordered mozzarella sticks which came cold and hard so immediately they went in garbage. Next I had ordered 2 slices of white pizza and ended up with BBQ chicken pizza which was pointless as I don't like it at all. I had ordered pinwheels for my husband which were coke and the cheese was hard as they were cold so he did not eat. As far as I'm concerned it was a huge waste of almost $50 considering we still had to do something else for dinner. I'm not sure how the reviews are so good or if I got an off night but I definitely do not recommend getting delivery if you want warm food or corr Update: the company reached out to me after I posted my review and promptly wanted to correct the problem with the order. The problem with the food was more Grubhub driver not being prompt than the restaurant itself. I received another order a few days later and I must say the food was fantastic! It arrived hot, fresh and very tasty! I would definitely order again. I am glad that I did give it a second chance or I would not have known how truly good their food is!! We were greeted by a very nice host, the entire staff was welcoming even though we were the very first table while they were still setting up for dinner after a large party had just cleared out. Calamari Fra Diavolo was fantastic. I ordered the servers suggestion Chicken Romano and other than the raw onions on top and a little too much salt, it was delicious nevertheless! My husband had Rigatoni Chicken Meatball-I personally didn't care for the meatballs but all together the dish was very good. My daughter said the her Penne Vodka was "the best one" she's had yet. The complimentary bread is also one of the best I've had-soft, warm, very yummy. Very friendly and cozy eatery. Standards are high for Italian on LI and DaVinci's delivers (literally). Though I haven't sat here for a meal, I've had (too much) delivery/pickup and it was more than adequate. They're great at standard slices and pies, which you'd expect, but also do well with salads, soups and specialty pastas (for real, get the chicken soup). Should you be in the mood for fried carbs the rice balls are large and flavorful, with or without a dunk in their marinara. Quick note: if you don't dunk, we probably won't be friends #dipsquad.
