They actually default everything to be "as mild as possible" so if you want Asian spicy just request it to be more spicy. Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp is yummy. This place is incredible! I am so in love with the food at this restaurant. I am a huge fan of Thai food and this place is definitely one is of my top favorites. It is a family run restaurant, and the food is so authentic. We ordered the spicy chicken wings, and they were fantastic. They were incredibly crispy on the outside, and the inside was so juicy. They were very spicy, the spice was a dry spice and it tasted almost like a Tom yum kind of spice. It had hints of lime and chili, incredibly unique and something I had never tried before. They were very big wings and I filled up almost on the wings alone. They were very spicy so caution if you are sensitive to heat! The chicken clear broth was also very tasty, very mild but so delicious and a bowl was very well priced, just a little over $5 for the bowl that was enough for my partner and I. We each are fans of Tom yum noodle soup as well, so thats exactly what we ordered. He ordered with flat noodles, and I with rice noodles. The broth was so delicious! I like my Tom yum broth less fishy, and this was perfect, it was a tad spicy but it was very yummy. I would probably order with flat noodles next time, I think it just enhanced the taste even more. I was craving Thai cuisine after a nice morning running around Mine Falls Park in Nashua. After getting that much euphoria on those trails, it was time to eat and replenish the mind as well as the body. With that said, I searched yelp for Thai in the area and found this lovely place (relatively) in Manchester. I had to return the rental car at the airport afterwards. Thankful that there was something nearby that really hit the spot. Manchester, New Hampshire seemed to be the perfect quintessential spot for a lot of things. Never thought that I would find a Thai restaurant here, but you never know. Thanks to Yelp for helping me find one of my favorite cuisines here in New Hampshire. With that said, we arrived here around 1:45pm on a Tuesday afternoon in May 2019 after getting cleaned up after that Mine Falls Park run in Nashua. It was very nice to be here, especially having been up since 5am. All that work lead up to this part filled with food and friends, which turned out to be an enjoyable experience. The restaurant itself wasn't busy, so we got seated right away. We got the first booth that was near the entrance. The restaurant itself was decorated simply, as what most Thai restaurants seem to be. The ambiance was quiet, casual, and very soothing. Just right for us 3 marathoners who want a simple meal before heading off to the next state to do it all over again. For the most part though, this was a great idea and I thank Yelp for providing me with this place for my Thai fix. It was fun and memorable. The overall experience here at Daw Kun Thai Thai restaurant was quite nice and basic. Typical yet average and good at the same time. That's what makes it fun and enjoyable. I guess when you find value in these type of places and ambiance, you tend to enjoy the food and the experience better. The restaurant itself was clean and the service was good and interactive. We spent about a good hour here from ordering to paying the bill. We got checked on about 3 times during our time here and that was nice. Daw Kun Thai is located at 2626 Brown Avenue, near the Manchester regional airport in Manchester NH. They accept major credit cards, which is always a good thing - as well as cash too. Since they were in a small commercial complex, parking here is generally ample. Just got to come here before or after peak times and you should enjoy good parking spots here. Since the airport is about 5-10 minutes away, uber and lyft can be your best solution if you have a hotel nearby too. If not, renting a car can be the best solution, depending on your itinerary. But lunch or dinner here is a great option here if you are traveling through the area and need your Thai cuisine fix. For the most part though, lunch here was particularly good. I ordered the L5 the Pad Ped, which has eggplant in it and a side order of the spicy chicken wings - which was eaten 1/2 there and 1/2 at a later time. My friends ordered other dishes with appetitzers too. My dish was served with jasmine rice and it was definitely a boon for the senses, even though I was craving it while on those trails in Nashua. I was definitely looking forward to Thai food and here it was. Cooked to perfection and eggplant never tasted so good! It was delicious and the prices here wasn't bad either! Best bet would be to try the curry, since the restaurant was nominated for a couple of awards in 2018 and 2019, per their website. I love Thai curry, but I didn't get a chance during my visit. The Pad Ped is very delicious, along with rice. The chicken wings were on the spicier side, but you'd may need to have a glass of cold milk or water to chase down the spiciness down to a respectable level. If you are in the area and love Thai cuisine, consider coming to Daw Kun Thai Thai restaurant near the Manchester regional airport. Phenomenal! Manchester is so lucky to have this new authentic Thai restaurant. They just opened a week ago but this place is going to be a mainstay. It's a huge restaurant space with only about 20 tables so far. They may add sushi bar down the road we were told. We were greeted by the male owner. He was kind and welcoming. He shared the story behind the restaurant, the name, his wife's vision, and her cooking history. The food is all made to order. Anything can be made gluten free if requested. Because it's made to order, it won't come out in seconds like other places but trust me it's worth it! The food all had incredible depth and flavor. We started with the Tom Kha Kai and Tom Yum Kung Soup. Borh were fantastic. The Tom Kha Kai (Chicken coconut soup) was the best I've ever had anywhere! I highly recommend it! For dinner, I had the Beef Panang. I requested hot, although I usually prefer Thai hot. You never know what to expect so I chose regular hot. I was told they'd bring me out chili sauces to add if it wasn't hot enough for me. The sauces were all wonderful! The veggies in my meal were all chopped to the same size and were much easier to eat than at other Thai restaurants. The curry was spot on! My friend ordered the Pad Wun Sen aka Bean Noodle. Was in the mood for some Thai food, since this place had on average the best reviews, we decided to check it out. Ordered the Tung Tong and Curry Puffs for apps since we saw a lot of pics for them. The Ting Tong was supposed to have chicken and veggies but ours were only stuffed with veggies. Eating lightly seasoned veggie pockets with sweet and sour sauce was not very appetizing. I wish it actually came with the chicken. Good thing we ordered the Curry Puffs! They were very good. You could taste the curry seasoning in the puffs. We got the drunken noodles and panang for entrees. This was my first time trying panang and I did not like the sweetness to it. That is likely how it is supposed to taste, I was just not a fan of it. The drunken noodles were decent. It was not bad, it just wasn't my favorite with the carrots. Most drunken noodles I have had come with bok choy, basil, mushroom, broccoli, and bell peppers. A very random Thai place in a small shop area in Manchester, right next to boujee nails and spa. We stopped by for a late dinner after hiking in the White Mountains about an hour before closing and got seated in a booth. The decor of this place is quite interesting from the color scheme to the decorations they have. There's also a small waterfall, stone pond area in the corner by the front windows. They have complimentary wifi with the password on each table. I ordered shrimp and broccoli dish which came with jasmine rice and house soup and a Thai iced tea. We also ordered veggie spring rolls as an appetizer, which came out piping hot! They were crispy and full of veggies and came with a sweet chili dipping sauce. The house soup had a very subtle flavor, clear, and refreshing. When the shrimp and broccoli dish came out, it didn't look like much, but it was a satisfying meal after not eating much all day. There was a good amount of medium-sized shrimp and enough sauce for the dish, but not overwhelmingly filled with sauce. The Thai iced tea was creamy and not too sweet. My friends also enjoyed their dishes and we cleared our plates. This was a great pitstop on our way back home and I wouldn't mind coming again. read more

**UPDATE** I have never ever heard of a restaurant charging for food that WAS NOT EATEN because it was absolutely disgusting. I myself have eaten Pad Thai plenty of times and it has never tasted or smelled like DOG FOOD, and never had a slimy sticky texture. Never. If you don't like people "blabbing" about your awful business practices on a PUBLIC REVIEW SITE that was designed for this specific purpose, then you need to look at adjusting those awful business practices!! Nobody was looking for a free meal, but forcing me to pay for a disgusting meal that YOU prepared and then blaming us for the bad quality is absolute nonsense. Thank you for your awful reply. Anyway, we laughed it off, because its obvious he was just being silly.. However, it set the tone for the rest of the visit... The Pad Thai smelled LITERALLY like fresh dog food. Kibble. Literally not an exaggeration, it smelled 100% exactly like Purina One Dry Dog Food. He took a bite anyway, and said it tasted horrible. I tried it, and it tasted exactly how you'd expect Kibble to taste. Completely disgusting. And the texture was kind of like vermicelli stirred into a really thick sticky paste, just weird. First he blamed it on the beef because "nobody in Thailand would order that" after all, but we didn't even taste the beef yet. We only took a bite of the noodles before getting grossed out. And I get that flavors blend while cooking, but why would the beef make pad thai taste like dog food and give the noodles a spoiled texture? Then the blamed the fish oil, but i cook with fish oil all the time and it doesn't taste like dog food. THEN he blamed the tamarind. I have no idea if that's plausible because I've never really cooked with it. I've eaten it before, and it doesn't taste like dog food, but whatever. I'm just a customer. He was literally gagging, nearly to the point of vomiting when the waiter came to check on us. He couldn't even ask for something else himself because he was still trying to spit out that single bite without making a scene, mid-gag. I asked if we could switch it for another order of Pad See Ew (because again, it was delicious). The waiter says that's fine, but "she" won't let him take the full total off and we'll still have to cover the cost of the meat. Whoever "She" is, would only let him take off $7 of the $12 meal. AND THEN, he said "because nobody else will order this combination so we can't re-sell it" RE-SELL IT!!?!? THAT IS EVEN A POSSIBILITY!? Even if we weren't in the middle of a GLOBAL PANDEMIC, it is **NEVER** acceptable to re-sell food that someone else has rejected and spit back into. NEVER. NEVER EVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, EVER. So I genuinely hope we misunderstood him... which I'm pretty sure isn't the case because we all three heard him say the exact same thing. Even if that last part was a misunderstanding (I genuinely hope it was), someone should tell "Her" that the very best way to assure a new customer is never a repeat customer, is to rip them off. We live a block away. The other meals were amazing, and we would have FOR SURE come back for multiple lunches and dinners, and would have spent way more than what "She" scammed out of us for that bad meal. The food here is pretty good, but this is honestly one of the most absurd things I've ever encountered. Deceptive and borderline theft. I unfortunately didn't notice until I was already home. The spice rack is literally free and included when you dine in. It's part of the meal. Saw a story about this spot on NH Chronicle awhile ago and decided to check them out last night. Four of us, who are pretty serious about food quality, taste, and presentation all agreed this place is top notch. Three apps and three main dished between us were phenomenal - all different form one another and all super tasty. The chicken broth we started with was out of this world. All the dishes had just the right amount of heat and were cooked to perfection. In short, this place is a gem and we all can't wait to go back. Super friendly wait staff, too. OK before I get backlash this review is only for the beef panang curry lunch special. I have eaten here in the past and am always highly satisfied with the quality and service. So AGAIN, this review is strictly for the 1 dish I ordered this one time. Cheers to the chef who wraps the curry up in a bag to protect my valuables from getting curry-fied. As always the flavor was on point with my expectations from this joint. I ordered aroung 11:20AM and picked up at 11:40AM before any crowd could get there. Of course I always wish there was more sauce/curry but thats my inner fat kid talking. The one big let down though is the beef in the panang curry. It is clear that the beef was not tenderized or marinated in a way to make it break down. Rather, I got beef that was chewy enough I heard it squeak and when I could finally break it down with my teeth the fibers of meat dried out my mouth. Let it be known though that I in fact did eat all the meat because I was hungry and would order the dish again but perhaps with a protein a little more forgiving...like tofu. Service is friendly and quick, especially considering the owner is handling everything but cooking for a restaurant full of patrons all by himself. We had calamari and shumai (the proper Thai name is escaping me) for appetizers, both of which were yummy. I also had their Tom Kha Gai (Chicken Coconut Soup), which is super delicious. For an entree I had Green Chicken Curry...I've had Green Thai curry a number of times, but this one is clearly the best.
