We were on our way to the tennis center for the second day of the Cincinnati Open tennis tournament. We wanted a quick breakfast and decided to stop here as it was on our way. We originally went in to get donuts, but when we saw the great selection of breakfast sandwiches on the menu, we decided to go in that direction (but of course we did split a maple bacon donut for dessert!) Donuts are something that are always what's good on an adventure and here they are doing it just right! Of the many delicious options we went with an apple fritter and it was delicious just the way it should be with crispy edges and just the right amount of apples and cinnamon to set it all right. We also got a few others like a traditional twist and a buttermilk old fashioned which were also yummy and just full of donut goodness. Love, Love, Love this place. Of course one reason being yummy donuts with just enough variety to make the whole family happy. Yet even better is the supreme customer service. The owners and staff make it their priority to know your name!!! They remember details about you and ask you how you've been. They turn your experience into a true personal and loving and rememberable event I have had to cut down my visits drastically because donuts aren't on the health menu. But this past Tuesday I wa observing my bday at work and grabbing donuts for everyone. I forgot my wallet and all my idea and everything. First when I walked in they immediately remember me and called my by name and told me they missed me. I had not been in several months !!! Went in this morning and was utterly disappointed. Started my day off horribly. I got 2 different donuts and walked out already a little iffy because the covid clear protector was not properly designed for convenience whatsoever. Needless to say, when I bit in to my donut and felt the cold, stale donut taste travel through to all of my taste buds- that was the final straw. I am thoroughly upset- especially because of the "hot and fresh" sign that hangs from the ceiling of the shop. It's contradictory because these donuts were not only not hot , but they were not fresh. I wasn't going to get a donut at first because I was worried since i'm watching what i'm eating. So if I was gonna break my clean food streak, the least they could have done was make it taste good. Daylight Donuts is the best shop in town. Always super fresh with a huge selection. The staff / family that runs the place is consistent and super friendly. They do a great job and are a great part of the local community. Getting a box of donuts from this place is becoming a routine for us. In fact my wife is headed there now since we're out haha. The best donuts we've had are the rosettes, bear claws, sour cream, and several of their frosted ones like strawberry, coconut, etc. You really can't go wrong with any choice! read more

We got quite an assortment, including a pinecone (outside is like a fritter but the inside is gooey like a cinnamon roll!), a maple an does it covered creme stick, and my favorite was the chocolate and glazed twist. Such a great combination but I've never seen it anywhere else! Coffee: pass, unless you're desperate like I was! Smoothies: We asked them to make a mango strawberry. Went by this morning to get donuts as a treat for my kids before school. Now we like a good donut and Daylight did not disappoint! We are tried and true Krispy Kreme fans but thee is not one close to our house when we want to grab a few really quick in the mornings. So I stumbled upon Daylight about 5mins drive and it was a hit! We got half a dozen glazed and I got an iced coffee for about 6 bucks. The donuts dare I say are better than Krispy Kreme!! They are light fluffy and have the perfect amount of glaze. The glass case has plenty to choose from seating is ample and it looks nice and clean inside. The staff was nice overall a good experience! I think we have our new go to spot! There were plenty of other parents and kids coming in and out or eating donuts as well. We were in and out in 5 minuets! I love it!!! read more

We were staying at Great Wolf Lodge and rather than waiting in line for Dunkin Donuts, I ventured out to a place I found on Yelp. I am glad I did. The donuts were delicious and the ham and cheese croissants hit the spot for a little extra protein before a day at the waterpark. I recommend the maple bacon donut. Plenty of real bacon on this monster, although it does not have a cream filling which surprised my wife and I. All in all, we will be going back to Daylight Donuts anytime we are down that way. read more

I went here on a Sunday morning to give it a try. Donuts were just "okay". We had 6 different donuts to try their variety. Fritter was overcooked so it was a bit hard and dry. Glazed yeast donut was also mediocre. The other 4 donuts were not memorable. We also had a kolache, which I thought was good, but my wife thought the sausage was not very good.
