They told me they'd come to my house the next Thursday and do all of the work. They never called and never showed up. My left brake light doesn't work and they told me it was fine, then I got pulled over for it for the second time. They told me my windshield wipers were fine and not streaking. They absolutely are. I feel I gave them plenty of chances to rectify these issues. This place is an absolute joke and clearly doesn't want any business. Wasted an entire month of my day off.

These guys are not teenage boys changing my oil, so this sits well with me. I brought my truck in and on the way over to them a seal in my rear-end went out causing all the fluid to leak out, this could have been a major issue if they had not found it when they did. I was on my way to Southern California the next day. I continue to come back with all my vehicles because no matter how little you ask them to do they do it right and treat you right. This Friday my water pump decided to start leaking, I had to call a tow truck. I called Carson City Automotive and talked to Mike, Paul the owners son. Mike stayed after hours on a Friday to meet the driver of the tow truck and then proceeded to park my truck inside their shop because it was going to be there all weekend unattended. This is the kind of family I want to do business with and will continue to do business with.

However a guy named Paul wrestled with me on a quote saying he had a giant machine "LIKE A HEART MONITOR" which he wanted to charge me for! WHY? So he could reap more profit out of me? Got two quotes elsewhere to replace both O2 sensors and I never want to think about my lousy experience with Paul refusing to do the work I requested. Don't you just love fighting with mechanics and getting gouged? I don't!

110% recommend taking your vehicle to Marc at Hollar's…read more I can't say enough about how professional, obviously knowledgeable, and kind Marc, the owner, was through out the entire day/service. My car completely engine failed on a trip and I had my car towed, many of the high rated mechanics in the area could not even look at it until Monday. Marc said he'd be able to at least check it out today, he did just that as soon as I arrived, then professionally explained my engine's catastrophic failure, showed how the bearing failed and my engine oil was contaminated etc.(I don't know much about engines other than to change the oil and he explained the issue patiently and simple) and provided me a full write up. Marc was honest, thorough, and knowledgeable and I would 100% take my vehicle here for diagnostic and service in future, even though it is a farther drive. While I ended up towing my car to the nearest dealership because of this kind of failure seemed likely to be covered under extended engine warranty/settlement and dealership needed to make that call, I found the diagnostic information he provided helpful based on the engine failure happening with my vehicle- especially when speaking with the dealership and finding help. Marc and his team are experienced, honest mechanics and just great people.

Asked for the engine and tranny replaced was given a time estimate of two months, I called about every two weeks and it was always "give me two more weeks I just need to replace etc". My jeep sat there for a year and two months before I gave up and towed it away from their shop. I understand a project being bigger than expected but no service should ever take more than six months even when you're putting it off.
