Additionally, there is no clear evidence that I approved a written estimate before work began or that I authorized repairs up to the final amount charged. The invoice also does not visibly disclose any warranty information for parts or labor. Daytona is an honest, trustworthy automotive shop. They have done well for me and my family with not only a few quick, small repairs, to oil changes, to one larger repair. This place sucks, replaced my bilstein shocks with much lower quality aftermarket. They didn't match the progressive rebound rate and the suv handles like a piece of crap. Total scam. Bilstein has a factory nearby too which makes this place look like it managed by bunch of clowns. read more

I believe the tech who helped me was Renato, but he was very informative and made me feel really comfortable about getting work done on the car. The receptionist was really nice as well and treated me so kindly. I always find it really intimidating as a woman going into a auto shop but I felt so comfortable being there. They took advantage of my mom for years it turns out that they don't change the oil in cars the worst thing is that the car had barely any oil and the little oil that the car had was burn oil . I reviewed them before, but this is worth revisiting. After some issues with the dealer, we brought our car in to them. They found some problems with the prior work and fixed it perfectly. They also were able to find an easier and cheaper fix for a huge problem. The dealer told me I needed new fuel injectors at $2400, but Rennie, Robert and the guys fixed my problem with a cleaning service for just a couple hundred dollars! I feel very lucky to have discovered them. It is nice to see how much their business has grown and to see them so busy now. I guess word is out and everyone wants to come to them now. And being an independent garage, there is no corporate model trying to push the big money making scam services. They just do good, honest work for a reasonable price. My car had been begging for an oil change for the past couple of weeks. Every time I started the car, the "Maintenance Required" light would turn on and flash in my eyes. Since I was busy at work these past few weeks, I couldn't take it to the cheap $15 oil change place. So after being harassed by the Maintenance light, I finally took my car to Daytona Automotive for an oil change at 8AM. I went in and looked for Paul. But, was told that Paul had sold the business and that Renato was the new owner. Since the car was harassing me, I decided to give Renato a chance with an oil change. He told me that the oil change was around $30. Renato is delusional with his prices. He thinks his prices are low. I thought his prices were average, but, cheaper than the dealer, so I gave him a chance. I left my car with him and walked to work. A few hours later, I got the obligatory phone call telling me that my air filter was dirty and that I should rotate my tires. I responded by telling him that I had a coupon for parts at the Toyota dealer, and would purchase and install the air filter myself. Renato then told me that he would charge me about $17 for the air filter with no labor charge. Sold! I could've done it myself and saved about $5. But, I didn't have to look for a coupon and drive to the nearest Toyota dealer. I didn't have to get my hands dirty installing it myself. He told me he charged for tire rotation, I told him that I could get it done free from the people who sold me the tires. He told me that he charged because he also cleaned and adjust the brakes. I reluctantly allowed him to service my car. A few hours later, the car was finished. Renato and his crew did a wonderful job. Since this place is conveniently close and they do a decent job, it was what I my car needed to be happy. 3 stars! read more

I've have come to this shop for the last several years since Chris owned the shop and then came Paul. Now it's Renato (Renny) & Robert's shop and they are the best. Recently, my Scion was diagnosed at the local dealership with a bad rack & pinion unit and that power steering pump might also be bad. The dealership wanted over $1700 for the rack & pinion unit (not included the possible pump). I called Renny later that day and he said they would gladly give me a second opinion. Robert actually took over an hour diagnosing the problem and he determined that the rack & pinion unit was fine (and so was the pump) and he said the problem was rack & pinion clamps and he also lubed the bushings and that is all it needed.... ($200 total). They also performed a 3-part fuel induction service for $100 which the dealership was charging me almost $300. These guys are THE BEST!!!!! Give them a chance........ they are HONEST too. read more

Found these guys on yelp - my other mechanic told me my alternator was okay and it was blown fuses, then a day later it started acting up again. I called Daytona and spoke with Renny, he said it was probably misdiagnosed and it IS my alternator. Needless to say Daytonas price for labor plus alternator was literally 60% less than my old mechanic who is also a 5-star yelp mechanic. Ny car died in my parking spot 5 minutes after i hung up with Daytona. I towed my car to daytona they got me in and out in 3 hours for an alternator and saved me hundreds of dollars. These guys are honest, their labor is very reasonable, and they actually take the time to teach me and walk me through what the problem is. Cant recommend these guys enough.
