When we were getting our second fish, there was one beta in a small cup that was dead and moldy...I had to give the cup with the dead fish to the staff. Seems like they don't check on the fish like they should. I feel so bad for the fish there. I really hope the owner sees this and makes some changes. This makes me so sad. They have people working there that are clearly not educated enough to care for fish. Personally, I don't think this place should be selling any live animals as they don't take good care of them.

Watch your receipt if grooming as they are taking advantage of repeat customers and shouldn't be. We had no idea there was even a late charge, so I will be moving my business else where till Monica returns. Jessica did fine but she is not Monica. My dogs are itching more than usual and we never seen this when Monica groomed them. Disappointed in Monroe Pet Pros as we thought we found a great place to groom them after using Cascade Groomer in Woodinville for over 25 years.

We mostly frequent the Monroe store and have been to the (much smaller) Redmond Ridge store a few times, but this was the first time we tried the Everett location. This is a relatively new Evereett location, Sam's having moved here from a previous location in Everett that had been open several years. This is the old Trader Joe's space in Everett, and it works well for Sam's. It's also Sam's largest location. The selection is impressive, and the quality and range of items carried are perfect. They have some hard-to-find superb pet food brands, as well as others that are a step up from grocery store food but not on that top tier. This is intentional. I know because Sam told me they want to ensure everyone can feed, entertain, and care for their pets regardless of their means. (Did you know they distribute any returned food to food banks and that you can return food if your pet does not like it.) So, yes, I had the pleasure of finally meeting the Sam (Sam Wirsching) behind the name. If you've ever seen Sam's flyers for Santa photos for your pets at Christmas, Sam is Santa (and a perfect-looking one at that). He was extremely humble, friendly, and exceptionally helpful and knowledgable. I was impressed, and it made our family's loyalty to this place increase. Sam's isn't fancy, but it carries top-tier brands. Think of it as a much larger Mud Bay without any pretentiousness. And it has great customer service, even offering free delivery of orders. The main idea was to kill a bit of time and the hope of maybe seeing some baby chicks even though they are often in these stores on a seasonal basis. Well indeed we did get to see the baby chicks. Many were older at this point and had their own feathers but there were younger furry ones too. The older ones yellow fur was gone but they were still very cute. All different kinds of different chickens here also so quite a nice variety of types. Don't handle them on your own as the signs indicate as a staff member needs to be reached before going further with that. There are lots of other inventory for your agricultural needs and in my mind would be a great place to go to stock up on supplies.
