But in this case, I feel it's important to share. I came to this office years ago after moving to Cerritos, right before my wedding, simply looking for a new dentist and a routine cleaning. They had great reviews, which is why I trusted them. From the start, I was told I had extensive issues--multiple cavities needed to be redone and several crowns were recommended. This was surprising to me, as I've consistently gone to the dentist and had never been told I needed such drastic work. Still, I trusted their assessment. The procedures that followed were some of the most painful dental experiences I've ever had. They took hours, felt extremely aggressive, and left me in severe pain afterward--far beyond what I've ever experienced with dental work. I have a high pain tolerance, and this felt very wrong. What was most frustrating was what happened next. I returned multiple times explaining that I couldn't sleep, eat, or function due to the pain. Each time, my concerns were dismissed and attributed to things like not flossing (umm I couldn't floss because of the extreme pain), which didn't make sense given the level of pain I was in. After pushing back repeatedly--especially with my wedding just days away--I insisted something was seriously wrong and requested further evaluation. It turned out I needed three root canals as a result of their prior work. Separately, the crowns that were placed caused ongoing issues. Eating anything with texture would cause gum pain, and I noticed unusual gaps that trapped food. When I brought this up, I was told the only solution was to redo the crowns at additional cost. My crowns also came off. Later, I happened to see a different dentist at the same office (a female provider who may have been temporary), and she immediately noted that the crowns had been placed at an awkward angle. She corrected them, and since then, I've had no pain and no further issues such as crowns falling off. I ultimately switched dentists and have not needed any major dental work since--just routine cleanings every six months, with no recurring problems. Based on what I went through--particularly the aggressive treatment, the outcome, and the dismissal of my concerns--I feel it's important for others to have full context before making a decision.

The implant and then in 4.5 months I will be back to check the healing and get scanned for the replacement tooth.

She made sure to do a thorough exam of my oral hygiene and other factors, to ensure the swiftest healing post-extraction. The extraction went great and the area has healed beautifully! I'm happy I was offered and chose to do a bone graft, allowing me the option of an implant down the road, should I choose. Knowledgeable, caring, and helpful as I presented my split painful tooth- in an emergency . Before taking out the unsalvageable molar, she made sure to check to my oral hygiene to be sure I would heal to the best of my ability. She did a great job carefully extracting the roots. Thus, the grafted area has healed beautifully with enough bone to place an implant. With all this attention to details, she encourages our own body to make more bone, as possible. But once you get into a consult with him, everything is very easy. Parking there is plentiful and the staff is friendly, professional and informative. Dr. Cargasacchi is great at explaining everything going that's going on and what needs to be done. He ended up doing a couple bone grafts and eventually my implant. I've had a gap where my canine should have been for most of my life and my new smile brought a lot of confidence back. It's been 8 years now and the implant is still going strong. So happy my dentist recommended him! It was a tad bit pricey, but I couldn't bare the thought of doing a bridge with other perfectly healthy teeth.
