The quote we were given was fair and on the lower end compared to other companies we contacted. They were able to start within a month, which was critical for us at the time. Demolition was scheduled to start on a Monday, but rain was in the forecast so we got delayed. The crew ended up demoing on Thursday and installing the whole roof on Friday - a 2 day turnaround for an entirely new roof with gutters, including inspections. I'm assuming this isn't their routine schedule, but they made it work for us to avoid the rain. The quality of the install was top notch, we've had no issues so far. We had an overall great experience with Valley and would highly recommend them for re-roofs.

I've used Investor Renovations three times now for work I needed done to my house; and every time I've been more than happy with the service and the finished product. Darrell is great. After meeting with him he promptly provided a thorough estimate with cost breakdowns and worked with me to help meet my budget. He has access to all types of contractors too, so it's like one stop shopping for all your home renovation needs. His team works hard and gets the job done fast, all while providing great quality work. Darrell then does a thorough check and corrects any issues he finds (even the ones you didn't notice). His team even comes back promptly to correct issues well after the work was completed and paid for! Good luck finding other contractors that do that. I was told that Jaime (the contractor) was all booked up until September, and I said that fine as there isn't a rush on the job. She began asking me if I wanted to schedule an appointment for a quote, but then she back peddled and said, "Can you call back in September?" I was really taken aback by this, and told her this seemed to be a repeat of a review that I read on a social media site. If you're in the market for a contractor in the Sacramento area from July 2014 - September 2014, DON'T call this contractor as he is all booked up and wont give you the time of day! Response to comment from business owner; Thank you for your response to my review of your business. Please allow me to reiterate some of my review and more clearly state my thoughts about my interactions with Purdy Construction. Getting back to a customer in a timely manner: Business standard is to return a phone call within 24 hours, especially when you have a dedicated person (Susan) taking business calls. I waited 72 hours before phoning again. Since there is another review about not responding to a customer inquiry, it sounds like this has been a previous issue. Time frame for project start: As I stated in my review, it is not a rush job and I was fine with the project starting in September. I am completely happy with your availability. Asking ME to phone back in September for a quote: This is what I have an issue with. As a customer, the business should take the responsibility in getting back to a client, or potential client, not the client. My information should've been taken down and a quote taken within a couple of weeks (my hours are flexible and would've been happy to work around your full schedule), and not start the project until September. Never the less, I have already lined up a quote from another contractor. If I accept the bid, the project will not start until late August/ early September, which is perfectly fine with me. I was not able to stay for the entire install as I had to leave for work. When I got home not only was everything in place and working perfect but all cleaned up - it was like he was never there! With the exception of the beautiful new items, of course. My grandma said everything had gone really well while I was gone. We have had bad experiences with contractors in the past leaving garbage, debris, unfinished work, or just doing an overall sketchy job. Jamie is friendly, honest and efficient. We will definitely be contacting him next time we need work done.

There was a question over whether a discount should be applied given the cost estimate and the mailbox flyer they distributed, but he addressed that. The work was done in a day, photos taken, etc. The 1st red flag was that I didnt see hardly any debris or trash from the work. Only a few cracked tiles and some supplies. I presumed they put the waste materials in their truck and disposed of them. Because I had filed a homeowners insurance claim an inspector came out a few days after the work CSR had completed. That review painted a different picture from the pics I was sent. 2nd red flag. Crap that was supposed to have been removed wasn't. Bird spikes attached were done incorrectly with no netting. Some tiles were still loose and others cracked. Shortly after the work was done I received an email stating Tyler was no longer with CSR and to contact them if I had any questions. I sent them the concern over the work not being completed, including the inspectors report, and followed up with a manager over the phone. I was told they would send a team out in a couple of weeks to complete the work properly. After four weeks, I called back and emailed. No responses. 3rd red flag. I subsequently had to have another contractor come and paid them almost a 1/3 of what CSR received for the work they never did. There was a reason why I didn't see any debris in my garbage after the original work. A mound of debris was left out of sight under my solar panels with other debris in my gutters. 4th red flag. As getting on a roof is not something most people can or should do, you need to have a trustworthy, reliable, responsive, and honest contractor to do the work at a fair cost. CSR showed NONE of these qualities in their work or in handling this project. I would think twice about considering them for any roofing project unless you can physically watch them do the work. As a contractor overseeing the job, you are responsible for the companies that you sub-out to. The crew who tore off the old roof broke two lawn sprinklers that they tried to hide that I had to replace. They broke bricks that line the stairway to our front door and tried to set them back to look like they had not been disturbed. They damaged 5 screens which I had to get replaced. I do not think they picked up a single nail even though they assured me that they would. We picked up handfuls of old nails, hundreds, and one that went into my foot. The gutter company put up gutters that had all kinds of bends in them. Not huge bends, but for brand new you would think they would be straight. If you look at them from the side you can really tell. As for CSR itself, if they put up new wood it is not painted. Also looking at the attached pictures, they needed to get flashing under this area but never blocked the hole after they tore off the piece that was there. So they made the hole and did not fix it. This hole was big enough for small animals to crawl through to get into my attic. And that is just one of many holes that I have had to fix on my own. Also they need to realize that every piece of roofing that they cut and throw on your lawn in July will burn it. So if you want to spend $42000+ on your roof and garage roof, and don't mind cleaning up after them and storing their plywood sheets and 2x6's for two weeks in your driveway after they leave, go for it. Otherwise, find someone else.

Now if you read my last review, I mentioned we had to tweak appointment times before he came and did the gutters. While I understand emergencies do come up, this is twice I've set up an appointment and something comes up. We agree to reschedule for today, Sunday at 10am. Brian assures me he can make today happen. Sure. enough, 10am rolls around and I get radio silence. I tried calling and phone goes straight to voicemail. Below are screenshots of our conversation. He was professional, kind and very attentive to detail. The crew that came each day, -2-4 workers depending on if they were replacing dry rot wood or painting, were professional, friendly and have a very strong work ethic. He had a special guy that built a custom pillar for our little bungalow to give it an updated, Craftsman look. All the workers were hustling everyday, and very experienced at what they do. They also installed a new address sign for us and doorbell. My house is updated and stands out in our neighborhood for quality and style. I highly recommend Ron for honest, integrity in pricing, and quality, quality work.

They showed up on time and completed two bathroom remodels AND an office (wall + French doors) in two months! Is that record or what? Don't worry no skimp on details. Even with issues with materials (mostly vanities) being so difficult, needing extra time to adjust plumbing, wait on slow shipping, or issues with products and needing to order again (doors), all still completed in time. We finish just under budget estimated and I still got pretty high end products. Look at all the tile!!! My favorite part is my office is no longer part of main house and has double doors. Extremely happy with these projects!
