While they were able to take 3 dresses and a full suit to press on short notice, they quoted us $67 for the job. Went to pick it up and they up charged us to $100.... Per the attendant checking us out, the owners son gave us the quote and the owner upped the price on us. Poor business structure and bad customer service. DO NOT come here for alterations! Unless you want to be charged an outrageous amount! Definitely can be done cheaper elsewhere. Dry cleaning is great. The owners "seemed" nice but seriously $75 to hem a long gown that cost $90. He originally estimated my husband's jacket alternations to be $20 so dummy me thought they sounded reasonable. I brought my dress there to get hemmed up 1 inch. Granted - long gown - 2 layers. I was told it was $50 for one layer and $25 for the other. Because of the time it would take and "you should buy a gown with only one layer"? What the heck? And I came here since they were already doing hubby's jacket... Yes - I should have backed out but they had already pinned it. My bad - I should of asked for pricing BEFORE I tried on my dress so I take TOTAL accountability. Why do I think it's overly expensive? In Sept, had a wedding so I took my long dress to a shop and they only charged me $40 - 2 layers - long dress and much nicer environment. Big clean dressing room, stand on a platform - they pin all around.. They did some other alterations as well but the hem portion was $40. My daughter took her dress to another place closer to where she lived... her dress, 2 layers WITH A TRAIN and a stretchy gold material. $40. And it looked perfect. And did I state it was dusty and cramped with a table in the dressing area where you try on the dress? It put a lot of dust on my BRAND NEW dress so I was relieved when I got it they did cleaned off all the dust. OH and back to hubby jacket - when he went to pick it up - they charged him $50 cause "it was more work than expected". RIP OFF on ALTERATIONS! But again - dry cleaning is great - he took out a stain of hubby's white shirt. For some reason I felt a bit picked on. Like they looked at us and figured we could afford it? Honestly $75 to hem my dress 1 inch? And BTW the material was exactly the same as the previous dress I took to the dress shop. Again - the only reason why I decided to come here was because hubby was already having his jacket altered and I "assumed" they would be reasonable. Again - I take FULL responsibility - I should have priced it before I got pinned but wanted to warn anyone who'd considering alterations here. It's WAY out of line in pricing compared to other locations. But their dry cleaning is great. We've actually referred other people to them and they did an amazing job in getting oil stains out of my GFs jacket. But after this review we may have to steer clear of this place... time to find a new place! read more

I dropped off a wool blazer and 2 sweaters for dry cleaning. When I picked them up, they were securely sealed in the plastic bag. When I got home and took the items out of the plastic bag, they all smelled bad like it was not thoroughly dried and was sitting in residue dirty water for a while. These guys are still very much open for business during the current pandemic (albeit with slightly shorter hours), and they actually are still owned by the same folks as before and NOT by new owners as I stated in my previous review. It turns out that they have different employees who work on certain days. I think the owners, who've owned it since c. 2005 at least, are named Tin and Van. Finally a place that can take out all of the alcohol stains from my dress shirts. If you didn't know, Hennessy stains and when you're attending a wild wedding, you may spilled some on your dress shirt. I rarely get my clothes dry cleaned, but when I do, I go to De Anza! The owners are very friendly and work hard to make sure their customers are happy. In regards to my most previous visit, I brought in several dresses that needed to be dry cleaned and one dress that needed alterations. A lot of my dresses had scuff marks and stains which completely disappeared after my clothes were returned to me! The dress that needed to be hemmed also fit me perfectly after the alteration. They have a really quick turnaround time and reasonable prices. They also offer embroidery services! Royal Cleaners' owners retired, and referred their business to De Anza Square Cleaners, prompting me to go here. Tin has been amazing. On a trip, a zipper broke on my wife's favorite coat. I took it in, expecting to pay a hefty fee to replace the zipper. Instead, Tin pulled out a kit, and fixed the zipper in five minutes, charging me only for the replacement part, insisting that it's part of the way he treats customers. The cleaning service has been equal to or better than Royal Cleaners, which is saying a lot, since I went there for 20 years. I am writing a late post. I needed alterations and this place was recommended by family so I stopped by needing 2 pants hemmed. The son was unsure about a certain material and wanted his father's expert opinion (my heart melted a bit for his humbleness). The son is experienced for many years but he actually wanted his father's opinion. So respectful! So the "expert" arrives, inspects, and lets me know how to take care of the material and that I did not need an alteration! I was suggested this place and really glad I came here to support a locally owned family business. Their prices are not exorbitant like some other alterations that are nearby in Santa Clara. Even more, they are honest and trustworthy, they will not just take a customers money without really needing the job done. They will continue to have my business and I will continually recommend this place if anyone needs alterations to their dresses or pants needing hemmed or any other adjustments. I say they are honest because the expert looked at the material and told me I do not need to have any alterations done. I recently took in something I was almost embarrassed to show them, a window covering I thought I might need to throw away. I also took in a blouse with stains INEVER thought would come out. Dry cleaners poor souls have you stepped inside one during the summer its hot as hell in there. So I use this cleaners because its close to my house and the prices are reasonable. They do a good job on shirts and slacks, only issue is they don't do alterations. I've used them twice, once to clean a down comforter and once to clean some curtains and a bed skirt. They managed to either remove or lessen the stains in the bed skirt and curtains (a previous dry cleaner actually made the stains in the curtains). The price initially seemed high but when I went back to pick up the curtains, they essentially charged me 1/2 of their initial quote because the curtains were so simple. They also offer a rewards card, so for every $4 you spend, you get a stamp. Once you spend $48 you get $4 off.
