This place was so good! I met a friend here for lunch recently. The place was empty when we arrived but a few diners came in after us. We were provided some of their crispy bread with 2 great dipping sauces. For an appetizer, we ordered Shrimp Pakora we both enjoyed. As our mains, we shared Chicken Korma and Lamb Tikka Masala. We drove from Hampstead MD for Indian food with their 5 star rating. And the food certainly did deliver the 5 stars. We ordered the chicken wings- great seasoning, meaty and tender chicken. Do not miss! Then for the main courses- we ordered salmon tandoori and lamb tandoori. It was dressed with a cabbage type salad and rice. There was mint chutney and another sauce. The level of spice is your choosing. The partner ordered dessert . He reported that was very good as well. The prices were very reasonable for the amount and exceptional quality of our food. The restaurant is small and sparsely furnished with portraits of scenes and iconography from India on the walls. We split the garlic naan and the gobi Manchurian, and I had the dal makhani. Before we ordered, a server brought out some papadums with two dipping sauces. The gobi Manchurian was served piping hot soon after we ordered it and had a great flavor. The dal makhani was rich and filling. The garlic naan was as good as any that I have tried. Wow! First time trying and I will return. Mango shrimp was so flavorful and the stuffed Nan with nuts & fruits was so yummy. This was a restaurant recommended by my sister-in-law who is a rather picky eater. I love Indian food and this small family run spot did not disappoint. Decor was simple and not fussy. I feel that more attention is paid for getting their flavors and level of spices right and we're definitely pleasing to the palate. We were initially the only ones there on a Tuesday at dinner time but noticed they had a brisk take out business. Our server was very attentive, explained the items we didn't understand and later discovered we could have different levels of heat with even the mildest level bof spices. We had an appetizer to start with of Vegetable Pakora-a little overdone but still flavorful and papadam with a mint flavored dipping sauce. *Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Tikka Masala- very tender easy to eat bite sized pieces and the blend of spices and flavors in the creamed sauces were most delicious. *Naan breads- are a must try, we had their popular Garlic naan but I particularly am obsessed with coconut anything and their Kashmiri naan had an abundance of that along with a fine blend of nuts and dry fruits. We were also given a comped serving of their Kheer rice pudding to top off the meal. That was a pleasant surprise! The menu is varied with vegetarian, seafood, rice and Tandoor specialties. There is a wide selection of also Indo-Chinese and Nepalese dishes. Parking is ample and easy to get to. It's a bit farther away from where I live but well worth making the trip to try out some of their other selections. I was distracted with eating so the pictures don't do the food justice. Wow what an awesome surprise and its now one of my go to Indian food spots. Stopped by after just looking up yelp while i was in the area and so happy i did. Came in during the week at lunch time and was quickly seating. The location isnt that big on the inside but plenty of seating. Its got plenty of easy free parking. When we came in the staff were welcoming and friendly and quickly served us which was nice. The food was just so damn good. Everything cooked fresh and with tons of flavor. The garlic naan hot and fresh, the chicken tikka still sizzling, and the masala cooked perfectly. The menu is large but I dont think you could go wrong with any of it. We started out with Samosa chat which was really yummy. Definitely recommend it. Also got the mango lassi and masala chai which were both nice. Favorite dish was the chicken tikka masala with medium spice level. We also got palak paneer and shrimp tandoor which comes with a sauce on the side. The cauliflower dish (aloo gabi) was nice also. Got mild for spiciness for all of the other dishes but I think I should have gotten medium to add a little more flavor. Service was great. Garlic naan was perfect. read more

Amazing! The restaurant is in a shopping center so parking is a breeze. While the establishment is small in size it's big in everything else. The staff are excellent. They're friendly and knowledgeable; able to explain each dish in detail and with patience. It's BYOB and a wine and spirits store is a few doors down. The food was outstanding. Each dish we had was spiced correctly and the taste was spot on. To add to all that they have going right is the cost. We are until we were full and had leftovers for what it would usually cost us to go to an upscale burger joint. We will absolutely be back again and again until we tire of Indian cuisine.
