Definitely Not Worth It I honestly don't understand how this salon has 128 reviews and every single one is 5 stars on Google. My experience was completely different. I asked for a French bob and showed the stylist a picture. I left with what looked like a mushroom haircut. For what I was charged, I expected a lot better. Then there was the pricing. The website advertised "Cut and Style $90." I was charged $150 because I was later told styling was a separate charge. When I questioned it, I was told there was a notice at the bottom of the mirrors saying styling was extra. I never saw that notice before or during my appointment, and I was not given an itemized receipt explaining the additional $60 charge. If styling costs an additional $60, that should be made very clear before the customer agrees to the service, not explained afterward. So, in my experience: disappointing haircut, surprising pricing, and definitely not the $150 experience I expected. A barber could have done a better job for $25. I won't be returning. read more

After much research I came across Wissam's place and I'm so happy I did! My experience was phenomenal. This was my first-ever curly haircut, and I can honestly say I've never been this happy with a haircut before. From the moment I walked in, I loved the aesthetic of the salon. It's modern, clean, and has such a welcoming vibe. The customer service was top-notch; everyone was so friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. I didn't really have any inspo pics so I just told him, "I Trust You, cut it how you think it would look best". Though, I have curly hair I tend to straighten it a lot so I made him aware of that. Then I asked him, if bangs would look good and that lead to me walking out with bangs! No regrets! I'm so in love with my haircut. Firstly, I'm not one to write bad reviews for any business especially, small business, They have wonderful reviews and when I called regarding getting my hair cut for curly hair they said that they do, so I won't need to blow dry as often, well I went in with long one length hair and came out very disappointed to say the least . Not sure what he was thinking while cutting my hair or if he was thinking , my hair is so uneven all over even when I try to blow dry it (which I must to look normal) I guess I must now wait for a few months to look normal. read more

I am extremely picky when it comes to haircuts, especially for curly hair. Usually, I stick to one stylist until they move away. However, I decided to trust my friend, who also has curly hair, and give this stylist a try since I wanted someone nearby. I have to say, this man is very talented. He was able to give me the haircut I wanted in just 10 minutes, whereas my previous stylist, who was very careful and meticulous because she knew how picky I was, usually took 30 to 45 minutes. If I could I would have given it 0 stars for this sh1tty overpriced haircut!! I have not enough words to express how much I regret coming to this place to have a curly haircut. I hate it. I hate it so much that I cried and as soon as I got home I rinsed my hair hoping it wouldn't be too bad! I felt so robbed by the hairdressers by the way. When I googled and called them, I was told it would be $70 dollars for the haircut but they ended up charging me $120 dollars for a sh1tty haircut and blow out!!!!! I should have trusted my instincts when the gentleman started to ruin my hair with that razor. Who the f*ck use razors to cut curly hair??? He spent less than 20min cutting it and more than that doing a sh1tty blow out I didn't ask for! He asked me in the end of the haircut, "do you want a style? " I innocently said yes thinking it would be $10+ according to what is HIS website and thinking it would be a curly hair method style. But no!!! he didn't use a diffuser, he didn't use hair cream, hair oil or even a thermal protectant to fry my hair with his blow dryer. Previously, I showed him a picture of how I wanted my hair to be and he did it completely different, style and length! He ruined my hair and overcharged me for such a poorly job. I found Mr. Wissam on Yelp when I searched for curly hair specialists in Burbank. I hadn't had my very curly fine texture hair cut or colored for over a year and it was not pretty. Mr. Wissam made some suggestions and I put my full trust in him. I wanted a lighter blonde and he suggested foils as I wouldn't have to keep up with base color, less maintenance. He and his wife did a full head of foils together. After processing and a wash, I knew immediately he nailed it and I loved the color even wet. My hair had grown about 2 inches past my shoulders but, as he pointed out, it was too heavy looking and it matted up on the ends. He did the cut and I was nervous seeing 3 inches chopped off but it had to be done. I felt relief starting fresh. He diffused it and styled the top and sides with a round brush and I was thrilled with the result. My hair is so much healthier and the curls are so cute, and the color is perfect. He layered it perfectly, which it was all one length before. I've since washed and styled it myself and it's so easy and comes out perfect every time. I can't recommend Mr. Wissam enough to all the curly girls and guys reading this. He and his wife are so welcoming and pamper you, if I could give them 100 stars I would. read more

I called on a Wednesday - I was desperate as my hairdresser retired and hoped for something quickly - Nora was so incredibly friendly and managed to get me an appointment for Friday. Both Wissam and Nora are the sweetest two people I've met, and so down to earth. They treat their clients like friends - they are super friendly, very welcoming, and extremely hospitable.
