We had a FaceTime call first (she was going out of town) so she could see what needed to be fixed and I was able to hear what her plan would be to correct it. I loved it! I was on board and booked my appointment with her. The day of I sat in her chair and she proceeds to put her hands through my hair ... "ohhh yeahhhhh". We talked about the plan, she told me the steps she was going to do and proceeded to gingerly cut away. I also got a shampoo and blow-dry with my haircut. Loved that nice touch on massage! She left me looking 10/10 when she was done! She was so gracious telling me if there is something that needed to be fixed to let her know and she'd do what she could to get me in. I did make one quick trip back but that was not to her fault. We knew that we were going to have to do a grow out to really correct the issue since we are trying to save some length. I am that girl that either doesn't brush her hair in the morning (true story) and just makes sure it's laying nice by running some pomade over flyaways because I do not like using heat! OR I take 5 minutes and use that round brush blowdryer (get you one! so fast!) and the picture I posted was that day. I'm very happy with the results. She had alot to fix and she delivered! Coincidentally my aunt went to another butcher, I mean barber, I mean stylist and was in the same situation. I immediately sent her Michelle's info and she booked an appt. I dont think ive ever seen my aunts hair look SO cute!!! I recommend Michelle! She's thorough, sweet, accommodating and you are in great hands with her!!!

I work with my hands for a living, and my nails genuinely needed proper cleaning and prep before tips were applied. Instead, I found myself having to repeatedly ask for basic prep work while being made to feel uncomfortable for speaking up. The tips were then applied with excessive glue/product underneath the nails, leaving thick chunks underneath that make the nails difficult to properly clean. When I expressed concern, I was told the glue "had to be there" to make the nails strong. I have been getting my nails done for decades and have never had a technician argue with me for not wanting large globs of hardened glue underneath my nails. When I said I wanted to stop the service, I was told "let me fix it," but the issues were never actually corrected. The nail lengths and shapes were inconsistent, the filing/shaping was uneven, and there were visible imperfections, debris, and rough edges throughout the work. I also had concerns about sanitation. The UV lamp being used appeared dirty and damaged, and the drill/e-file bits looked visibly unclean between clients, which made me increasingly uncomfortable during the appointment. She paid close attention to every detail, especially my request to retain length, and was always transparent about how much she was cutting, which I really appreciated. She was also so easy to talk to and incredibly thoughtful, constantly checking in to make sure I was comfortable, whether that meant offering coffee or water or making sure nothing hurt. Her scalp massage while washing my hair felt heavenly and truly elevated the experience, making it feel so luxurious. In addition to her amazing work, the location itself was beautiful, clean, and such a lovely space to be in, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I absolutely loved my haircut, and Shannon made me feel beautiful not only through the cut itself but also through her kind compliments and care throughout the appointment. I highly recommend her and will definitely be coming back in the future! (For reference, there's parking available in the back. If that area is full, street parking is also available.) Gabby was the only Stylist available last minute, but it worked in my favor. I was lucky to get an appointment within two hours for a blowout. I kinda miss the turn, so ended up parking on the street, but there is parking in the plaza lot that they are in. But otherwise there is plenty of street parking for free along Olive Avenue. Gabby is so sweet, and although I don't mind a heavy-handed Stylist, she is very gentle. The whole experience was very relaxing and satisfied with my end result. My only complaint and the reason I gave only four stars is, I didn't love the shampoo bowls. They don't have the rubber neck support in the bowls, and I just felt like I kept sliding down in the chair and it made me think too hard and not be able to enjoy the shampooing experience. I will definitely come back to see her on these days that I am feeling lazy. I just want to be pampered a little bit. I ended up having her flat iron as well. Blowout alone was $65 and with flat iron was $80 total.

I didn't complain about it at the time because it wasn't a big deal to me. The salon owner, Sai, is a nice person and fun to talk to. She told me to come to her for color correction if I ever wanted to go back to my natural blonde. I started dyeing my hair red with henna in 2018 because it was way cheaper and healthier for my hair than chemical dye, so I didn't come back to color lounge. I also found a vintage hair stylist and started seeing her regularly instead (personal preference). She retired from doing hair during the pandemic, and I needed someone to do my hair...so in 2021 I went back to blonde after about a year of zero henna applications. The hairdresser who got me to blonde again in 2021 moved away, so I went back to henna for less than 2 years. I decided to go back to blonde for good in August 2023, so I contacted Sai & gave my hair history. She said no problem, we can start your transition back to blonde with minimal damage. I was quoted a 6 hour appointment and would be charged an hourly rate--when all was said and done, I was at the salon from 9am-9pm and was charged $1,800. I was not happy at the end of the appointment, but I just wanted to go home...I felt obligated to tip 20% because of the time Sai & her assistant spent, so in total I spent $2,300. I wanted to cry leaving the appointment. How do you tell someone who spent 12 hours working on your hair that you don't like it? The real disappointment sank in when I felt/saw/realized how damaged my hair was...it was breaking off any time I touched it or brushed/styled it. It has taken over 12 months to regain any semblance of hair health, and no thanks to Color Lounge. I asked Sai after my appointment if we could do some kind of professional deep conditioning, mask, or treatment to help repair the damage and she said "just buy the redken acidic bonding line" and offered nothing else in the way of recovery or assistance. Needless to say, that was my last appointment at color lounge.

I can't thank Sara enough! My hair has been through a lot. It was bleached multiple times, dyed to green, then blue. Box dyed to dark brown. And a year later, here we are. Roots are all grown out, hair more damaged than ever. I've finally have had enough of it and decided that I need to do something about it. After an endless search on Yelp, I found Sara. Sara was very accommodating to my busy schedules. We had a consulting session before coming in for the actual balayage session. She offers her honest opinions on what's best for my hair. The balayage process was faster than what I've anticipated. Being a painfully shy person, I can say that Sara is very easy to talk to and makes you feel extremely welcomed. If you're looking into this Salon, go to EMMA! The salon was so flexible and understanding that I was able to get a last second appointment. I really lucked out getting Emma as my stylist, my hair is unruly and hard to deal with, not to mention very damaged. Emma was able to completely lighten my orange/brassy hair to a beautiful icy blonde in just one sitting! She paid great attention to detail and kept checking on the foils to make sure my hair was doing okay. I have been going to Lavish for years. Lucy the owner is a sweetheart and my hair stylist Vahe is amazing!!!!!! He saved my hair from all of it falling out being burned dyed and dried. I was able to grow my hair out preserve the texture and shine. The colors of dye the highlights the blends all he does is amazing. I remember when I met him years ago and was paranoid to trust someone new with my hair after all the damage. I walked into Lavish knowing what I wanted but was nervous at first to go blonde. Emma took my idea and did exactly what I wanted AND MORE. The haircut I had before was good, but the ends of my hair looked really stringy and awkward due to outgrown layers and thinning done by the previous hairdresser. We had a FaceTime call first (she was going out of town) so she could see what needed to be fixed and I was able to hear what her plan would be to correct it. I loved it! I was on board and booked my appointment with her. The day of I sat in her chair and she proceeds to put her hands through my hair ... "ohhh yeahhhhh". We talked about the plan, she told me the steps she was going to do and proceeded to gingerly cut away. I also got a shampoo and blow-dry with my haircut. Loved that nice touch on massage! She left me looking 10/10 when she was done! She was so gracious telling me if there is something that needed to be fixed to let her know and she'd do what she could to get me in. I did make one quick trip back but that was not to her fault. We knew that we were going to have to do a grow out to really correct the issue since we are trying to save some length. I am that girl that either doesn't brush her hair in the morning (true story) and just makes sure it's laying nice by running some pomade over flyaways because I do not like using heat! OR I take 5 minutes and use that round brush blowdryer (get you one! so fast!) and the picture I posted was that day. I'm very happy with the results. She had alot to fix and she delivered! Coincidentally my aunt went to another butcher, I mean barber, I mean stylist and was in the same situation. I immediately sent her Michelle's info and she booked an appt. I dont think ive ever seen my aunts hair look SO cute!!! I recommend Michelle! She's thorough, sweet, accommodating and you are in great hands with her!!!

I usually try to color my own hair cause it can get pricey but boy do I end up paying for it later…read more I went in thinking she could just lighten the top of my head and add color overall but Ani knows better. I ended up doing a color correction which was wayyyy more than I was hoping to spend ($500) but it turned out great and I love it. The whole thing was like a 4 step process and she even added a hot oil treatment for me cause I was really worried about the damage bleaching my hair would do. Whole thing took about 2 hours. I'll definitely be going back for touchups cause I can't let it get as bad as it did in that before photo!
