I had such a great experience with Jess at Dean Anthony Hair Salon today! My first time with this salon. t had been about a year and four months since my last highlights, so I was definitely overdue. I came in wanting a fresh honey-toned look, and Jess absolutely delivered. She was incredibly patient, really took the time to understand what I wanted, and helped me choose a color combination that turned out even better than I imagined. You can tell she truly knows what she's doing and cares about her clients feeling confident and happy. On top of that, she's just so kind and easy to talk to, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I walked out feeling like a whole new person. Highly recommend Jess if you're looking for highlights or a color refresh!

I really wanted to like this salon. It is beautiful, they carry great products, and the appointment started well. I booked online for $270 to get my roots done. No cut, just roots. At checkout, the total was almost $400 because of add-ons I was never told would cost extra. I had called ahead specifically to ask if they use Olaplex and was told yes. My stylist chose to use K18 instead. K18 and Olaplex can be used together, but she used K18 only, then I learned at checkout that I had also been charged extra for it. I was also charged $72 for a root shadow/smudge without being told beforehand. A root smudge takes a few minutes to apply and uses only a few dollars worth of demi-permanent color. I have never been charged separately like this at another salon. If a service is going to add that much to an advertised price, clients should be told and given the choice before it is performed. The communication was what really bothered me. When I asked why my temples were still dark after being highlighted, I was told I had waited too long between appointments, even though this was virgin regrowth and around when I normally get my hair done. Then when I questioned how a $270 appointment became almost $400, the receptionist told me that next time I should discuss pricing with my stylist beforehand. That was especially frustrating because I had talked to the salon. I booked a service with a listed price and called ahead with questions. So it wasn't great being told I should have done... what I did. In order for them not to take advantage? There was also a lot of upselling. My stylist kept recommending K18 products and an Oribe product, which I already use Oribe. When the Oribe product she recommended was out of stock, she suggested a completely different Oribe product instead, one I already knew does not work for my hair. That made the recommendations feel more sales-driven than like care. And after almost $400, I still have visible roots, dark temples, and a demarcation line. I asked for a neutral to warm blonde and specifically said I did not want cool or gray tones, but the new growth was toned noticeably cooler than the rest of my hair. After washing it, the few new highlights at the top also felt rough and I noticed some breakage. This is exactly why I had called ahead about Olaplex. Even with K18 and bleach with built in bond reconstructing you still need a bond reconstructor with bleach or hair gets rough in a few washes, I've been through this before and can literally tell lol. Felt fine out of the salon, one wash in, better than with raw bleach but definitely worse than with a bond reconstructor. K18 works differently, it's not enough on its own. Especially with one application. Practical note for anyone booking: parking is street-only. The meter app was not working when I went, and my stylist was actually really nice and ran out with my card to try to pay the meter for me. Unfortunately, I had already gotten a ticket within about 20 minutes. There is some free street parking farther back, but it is limited, so I would arrive early and look for that first. The photos are from the day of the appointment. My hair was styled nicely and they did not destroy it, so 2 stars, and everyone has an off day. But between the result, undisclosed charges, upselling, and the way concerns were turned back on me, I would not return.

This salon is top notch. I always get compliments on my hair since I started doing my hair here. I have done my hair with Brian and Veronica. I liked their haircut and color and they listen to what you need and do the work with excellence. It's an investment but it's well worth it. Veronica is detailed oriented and has not only done my hair but has given me many hair tips. Overall, the salon is clean, professional, friendly,and they ensure they have strong customer service. I will highly recommend this place for all your hair needs.

I came in knowing I needed to freshen up my beyalage hair color but had no idea what I wanted. I explained what I was considering and Baky helped guide me on what type of color range fit my skin tone while also being aware of my past choices in colors. It really helped me make an informed decision and it came out so beautiful! I'm always relaxed and confident that my hair color and experience at the salon is going to be a 10/10 with an amazing and kind hair stylist like Baky. She is a true pro in her field and I highly recommend her if you need someone patient, experienced and really funny too

This is my second time at Dean Anthony on 2nd street in Belmont Shore and I will go out of my way to come here everyone! The service is unmatched, the staff goes above and BEYOND honey! From the front desk to your hair stylist it is 10 out of 10 service. The ambiance is incredible and the vibe is uplifting and happy. I find myself smiling from the moment I walk in until hours after I leave. Today I requested layers after growing my hair out for the last year and was blessed to have Brian as my stylist. He gave me exactly what I asked for style-wise and was such a pleasure to chat with!

I am from out of town visiting from Seattle. I needed a haircut so when passing by, I decided to walk in and see if anyone was available. Megan was available, she was very nice, gave me a great head massage and explained how to style my hair. It ended up beautiful just what I wanted. I contemplated this review for months now. I had a bad experience at this salon. I have curly hair, and at the time of haircut it was 12+ inches long. Literally my first haircut in about 4 years. But I wanted to go short, a little shorter than shoulder length + with bangs. So upon making the appointment, we asked for someone with experience working with curly hair. We were told that every stylist has 10+ years of experience, and we were given an appointment with a stylist (I'm blanking on her name right now). At the appointment, I showed the inspo pics and repeatedly asked "do you have experience cutting curly hair?" And she told me something along the lines of "oh yeah I've been cutting hair for years" (this went off as a red flag for me idk). She cut off about 12in length at my request, and everything was downhill from there. After the botching, she washed my hair and barely styled it (curly-haired people know how much it takes to style it). And didn't even fully dry it. I left the salon looking like a knockoff Inigo Montoya. The stylist herself was extremely nice and easy to talk to, but it's an unfortunate situation where being nice isn't the service requested, nor the service being paid (a pretty penny btw) for. I literally cried to my family about how embarrassing it looked, couldn't even take pictures of myself. I had curly MICROBANGS. And some strands were so uneven to the area next to them (like I literally had a group of hairs that were almost an inch shorter than the group surrounding it in the section). Girl--be serious. Thank god it's grown out a bit now. Besides the botched hair, I'm so peeved that for the cost, I walked out with unstyled and still wet hair. Bffr. I seriously think this stylist does not have sufficient experience with curly hair. Rating 1 star solely on the haircut + no style or dry. The customer experience is nice. But this is a hair salon, and I'm rating based off my hair.

Baky is absolutely amazing! She always does such an incredible job, and I leave every appointment feeling so confident. She's so talented, pays attention to every detail, and really takes the time to make sure everything is perfect. Not only is her work beautiful, but she's also so kind, welcoming, and easy to talk to. I couldn't recommend her enough to anyone looking for an amazing hairstylist. Thank you, Baky, for always making my hair look and feel its best!

Book with Brian! Brian was knowledgeable and personable. He got rid of my brassy blonde with toner/gloss and gave me the best long layer hair cut with a blow out! I'm obsessed. Highly recommend Brain and Dean Antony Salon!

Hair colorist Kyle David does absolutely incredible work -- i get compliments on my hair wherever I go, and I really can't speak highly enough about the excellence of his services. He's a wonderful listener who takes the time to hear what his clients want and to discuss his approach before he starts, which is unusual. The salon is a lovely space in Long Beach on a street with lots of cute shops & restaurants. I come here from Pasadena because it takes less time to get to Long Beach than Beverly Hills. Walked in on a Saturday with my mom and was so pleasantly surprised they fit us both in for hair cut and conditioning! The receptionist was super warm and friendly and took our drink orders immediately. Apparently they also make espresso martinis now? Sold! Felicia was my stylist and was so friendly and accommodating. She did a great job taking her time giving me the perfect cut and making great conversation along the way. Suffice it to say I will be coming back to catch up with Felicia again soon! So happy with my experience and the superb customer service. read more

I've been coming to this Salon consistently the last year where Melissa has been helping with my short to long hair journey. She's a great listener in understanding where I want to go with styling my hair, her sheer work is phenomenal and I just did some color with her which turned out great. As a male, it can be intimidating coming in not knowing what would look good but Melissa has been great with keeping things simple. The staff does a good job of checking in and scheduling out reminders also! Highly recommend. read more

I usually go to salon drew their sister salon. But this time I tried out dean Anthony. They did not disappoint! I had Melissa as a stylist and she was super awesome. I didn't have any inspo pics, but she did exactly what I wanted. I felt like a beautiful queen walking out of there. Kudos to Melissa she made me feel so comfortable. When I moved to Long Beach from NYC 4 years ago I researched salons and to my delight I found Michelle the owner of Dean Anthony. She always makes me look amazing! Hers cuts are flawless and she is a fantastic person! I have been to some of the best salons in LA and NY and this has consistently been my best experience! I have recommended many and get compliments on my hair constantly! She mentors so many young people and the salon is state of the art with a positive and friendly energy. I moved from Northern California to Southern California So of course the stress of finding a new salon was real. Not only did I move, I have very curly hair and I struggled for so long to find somewhere to get my hair done. I have had horrible experiences in the past with hairstylist who said they knew how to work with curly hair and surprise surprise, they didn't. I thankfully I came across this salon. Oh the power of Yelp! I had an appointment with Will and it was absolutely magical. The salon itself has amazing customer service, the front desk is always welcoming and warm, and I felt like they genuinely care about their customer experience. I was genuinely surprised by how much I loved this salon, especially since my wife owns a salon in LA, so my standards are quite high. Felicia gave me a blowout, and it was hands down one of the best I've ever had--it lasted an entire week! From the moment you walk in, the energy of the salon is fantastic. Izzy is THAT girl. First time at the salon and I will definitely be back. Salon is chic,clean and modern. I was seen right on time, haircut and blow dry took about an hour which is usual. I had moved back to Long Beach in 2020 after 3 years in SF and needed to find a stylist, pronto. After waiting almost a year from that point on my hair was pretty much back to all virgin, all-natural black hair. With 2021 rolling in I felt that I needed to freshen up my look, even if I was only working from home. I still needed to feel like myself again! After researching a ton of places, I landed on Dean Anthony and based on all the positive reviews I felt that I needed to see Jill! I booked the appointment - 3 months out - mind you, because of quarantine! This is in April of 2021 for July 2021. I wait three months for this appointment and while I'm waiting, I find out at a family get-together that Jill is actually the cousin of my brother's best friend. I know, did you catch that? Whatever, I'm ecstatic now that I made such a good choice. TL;DR I've seen Jill twice this year now, July and Dec 2021. She's done an amazing job on my hair. I get compliments all the time on the coloring. I asked for balayage color but Jill had to school me and let me know because of my Asian hair that she would recommend FOLIAGE instead. And I'm like, yeah, balayage, same thing. Come to find out, I've been getting Foliage all these years. It's just that none of the other stylists bothered to educate me on the difference between balayage and foilage. Jill knows how to work with ASIAN HAIR. With some miscommunication with my stylist, I had a problem with the way my hair turned out but I emailed the company and was able to get the whole situation squared away. Had a haircut with Becky today and I am so happy with the results. My experience was so relaxing from start to finish. The waiting area is spacious and Marina at the front counter made me the most delicious latte. Becky washed my hair and gave me my requested haircut - soft layers and face framing bangs. I also added a much needed Kerastase treatment to add some shine and moisture to my hair. I have very thick hair, so usually during the blow drying I experience lots of tugging and pulling, but not with Becky as she was so gentle. The salon sells Oribe so I picked up a couple products as well. Super happy with my experience and will see Becky again for my next hair appointment. read more

Nice stylist, but I developed a scalp issue after my appointment at this salon. Maybe I'm allergic to the products or I didn't get washed thoroughly. Shampoo bowl looked dirty before I sat in it. Receptionist was not very friendly and kept bothering my stylist while she was performing the blowdry/style on me. Stylist was late in starting appointment and then took a while to complete the blowout. My blowout didn't last. Frizzy immediately. I have fine naturally curly medium length hair. It doesn't usually take a lot of work to blowout. I'm disappointed because I was excited to find a new stylist for all my haircare needs, but did not. The online booking was not very user friendly. Prices are too high for what you get. read more

One of the not-so-fun parts of moving to another city is finding all of your new "people". Hair, brows, nails, etc. After looking through Yelp, I made an appointment at Dean Anthony Salon with Will. I've been going to him ever since! Will is one of the kindest people I've ever met and he's great at his job! Not only does Will make my hair look great, but he's taken the time to educate me on ways to best style and take care of my hair. As for Dean Anthony Salon in general, the ladies at the front desk are always nice and the salon is always clean. I'm so thankful I found Dean Anthony Salon and Will, and can't wait for them to re-open! read more

I looked around for weeks for a salon I felt was gonna be amazing. Happily Yelp took me to Dean Anthony Salon. I was so happy to see you can go through the profiles to see their experience and learn a little about the hairdressers. I picked Jessica who was excellent. I had a blast from the second I walked in the Salon. Beautiful, clean, lots of smiles, very welcoming and very cool interior design. Everyone is so sweet and kind. My experience with Jessica was not only a lot of fun, but she really knows what she is doing with hair. She took her time explaining and cutting and styling which I appreciated. I took my little sister here to get a haircut and treatment by Melissa and let me say, she did such an amazing job! My sister loved her hair so much, she literally could not stop touching it after her appointment. She even told me she specifically wants Melissa to cut her hair again when it's time for her next trim and that she's glad she finally found someone who she can trust to cut and style her hair. This was both of our first time coming to this salon and honestly, I can confidently say that we will be coming back! The vibe here is so cool and the service is fantastic. Everyone was so nice. Haircut by stylists are great but....every time other time I go they keep increasing Haircut fee bc they said stylist got a promotion. How does a stylist get a promotion every other month? To me it seems like they are increasing the chair fee to the stylist. Long story short, it cost nearly $100 for a Haircut, try other places if this doesn't meet your budget read more

The D+D Group began developing the foundation of their brand in 1994 when Michelle started her journey behind the chair. With focus on guest experience, ongoing education & developing new talent, they knew it was imperative to open a salon space that stood above the rest. In 2005 The D+D Group opened Dean Anthony Salon. Dean Anthony has has substantiated itself as the "go to" space for luxury, offering a highly trained & educated staff while housing the top brands in the hair industry such as Kerastase, R+Co, Oribe and Loreal Professionnel color. Michelle started her career in 1994 and has been dominating the Long Beach hair industry ever since. Owning and operating salons with her husband, Scott, since 2002, Michelle works behind the chair Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and devotes her Wednesdays to educating and developing our next generation of hair stylists. Throughout her career, Michelle has set the bar for what it means to provide guests with "full service" and an unparalleled experience. Leading The D+D Group's educational team, Michelle loves to help inspire, guide, and develop the people around her both in their careers and as individuals. Michelle has traveled around the world seeking education from the top educators in each region. Original : I know the stylists have their own way of booking or dealing with affairs apart of the salon but I think it's wild they have a rebooking fee of over $30 if client has to reschedule last minute their appointments BUT when I get my appointment canceled TWICE by the stylist ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT , due to "family emergencies" that apparently always happen. I think it's wild that a stylist can waste a clients time and day considering the first time it was canceled I had planned to get my hair cut before my birthday trip and today it got canceled I had just told my boss no to coming in for a shift because of my scheduled appointment ... what do we clients get in return besides wasted time and lost money ? Let me start by saying that Dean Anthony is hands down the best! I started going to Dean Anthony when they first opened and have been back once a month, every single month for over 3 years. That is of course up till now, I just moved out of state and am very bummed about having to find a new place. So, I would like to say a few words about what a great experience Dean Anthony has been for me... The owner - Scott, is a genuinely nice guy. You can tell that he has a passion for his business and loves what he does. Scott actually remembered my name and chatted with me every time he saw me - I don't recall the owner of any business knowing my name, ever! He would randomly comp things for me and give out a few samples here and there. Classy place, friendly, professional staff and a quality product - just for men... Scott - Love your place, keep up the great work! Receptionist Extraordinaire Kelly - It's always great to get a phone call reminding me of when my appointment is because I have a terrible memory. Never once did I actually hold on to the kind, little reminder they gave me in time for my next cut. Of course this would always lead to me having to change my appointment, and as usual, Kelly always found a spot for me... Then, whenever I would arrive, Kelly always greeted me with a big smile and offered me a complimentary drink... perfect! Lisa is the best stylist - period. She has cut my hair perfectly for 3 years and has been a great person to get to know over the years. I never once felt rushed, even though I seemed to run late for every appointment I made. I am beyond happy to be writing this review. I came in 3 weeks ago and unfortunately, the hair cut I got was terrible... BUT, once Rob got wind of my dismay he went over and beyond to fix the situation. He called me and we talked about what happened and what was wrong and he assured me that if I came back in they would fix the situation. He was so sweet and made me feel like he really cared about my happiness and wanted me me to feel happy and beautiful with my hair. He set me up with Kyle and said he will make you happy. And will fix the hair situation Assured!!! When I came in today I was hesitant and felt nervous but, the moment I met Kyle, I knew i was in good hands and that Rob found me my hair match! Kyle, is not only an absolutely wonderful person with a great personality he is a hair magician. A truly talented man with unbelievable skills. He walked me through all the steps and if I'm being honest, made me feel so special, he made me feel like we had been friends forever and that he was invested in my happiness. Needless to say I walked in nervous, full of apprehension and feeling blah... Walked out feeling like a new confident beautiful woman!!! He not only gave me a great hair color he also gave me the exact cut and style hair cut I was looking for. Once you find a guy for a good haircut.... I've lived in So. Cal for 3 years now, and one of the worst things for me is having to find a new haircut guy when I move to a new town. I'm one of those guys that's willing to pay a few extra bucks for a good haircut, because lets face it, I'll spend a few extra bucks for a nice pair of jeans or a shirt so i look good, so why the hell am I going to pay some yuk yuk to butcher my head to save some dough when I have to wear that every single day! Anyway, I bounced around from cheapo shop, to pricey shop, to friends of friends, etc. since moving out here, and never really had a 'guy' i can trust. Hell in my last town I went to the Wal Mart to get my haricuts because i figured, "hey, they have a ton more people coming through here daily, so i'll bet they have more experience," and hey i had a gal that did it great. In other words I'll go anywhere for a good haircut, as long as it's consistent and good! Nick is my guy now. He rocks! I have had my hair cut by him about 6 times in a row now, and in that time i've had long hair and short hair, and he's always hit the bull on the nose. The Man on the Go Deal is great because it isn't really expensive at all, and you can knock back a Stella while talking about surfing with Nick. A neighbor of mine has a great haircut, and when I asked where she got it done, she told me Michelle at Dean Anthony. Well, Michelle's schedule was packed, so they asked me if I'd like to see Stanley, that everyone in the salon is trained by Michelle. So, I decided to give it a try with Stanley. Well, when I got there, Stanley had already spoken with Michelle about my neighbor, and her cut, and how it might work on me. He had a ton of great insight about the cut I wanted in regards to my facial structure, lifestyle, etc. As a recovering tomboy, I have often felt out of my element in a fancy salon, but Stanley was welcoming and attentive to my concerns. He was so thorough, and really listened to my questions and suggestions, and then suggested options for me. The consultation alone lasted 20 minutes - if only I could get my doctor to talk to me for that long! Throughout the dye and haircut, he explained what he was doing, and why. He also took a ton of time showing me how to recreate my finished hairstyle at home. Most importantly, the haircut and color looked great. I haven't felt this good about my hair in a long time. As one who fears change of hairstylists, I can tell you that the Dean Anthony experience is remarkable. I was given a gift certificate as a birthday present a few years ago. I was content in my 10 year relationship with my hairstylist so I viewed going to Dean Anthony as a special treat. I have never looked back. The staff is focused on the attention to details and customer service that define great. You actually feel that they want you to be happy and look good when you leave. On my first visit I was assigned to Jenny and I can't say enough about how she listened to what I wanted and has consistently delivered great quality haircuts and personalized service. Everyone at Dean Anthony, truly goes out of their way to make sure you feel relaxed, listened to, and walk out feeling like your best self. Whether it's a haircut, color, or a special treatment, you can tell they put their heart into their work. Michelle always takes the time to understand what you want, offer suggestions if you ask, and makes sure every little detail is just right. What do you do when your daughter gives you a gift certificate to a "foo-foo" hair salon for men? I was not a frequenter of such establishments, frankly not interested in being pranced around and leaving with a haircut that would surely get me beat-up at the wrong bar. Or the crap-shoot of a good cut at Supercuts. At her insistence, I gave Dean Anthony's a shot. Greeted by friendly, normal people and a cold beer, I thought maybe this was the better mousetrap. Next, I met Nick, received one of the best haircuts ever, and saw the end of the game I was watching on one of the many screens covering the place. Finally the barber shop steps up from Mayberry. Great concept, great hair cuts, (most important) normal people and a place a guy can feel comfortable, even while having some kind of goo rubbed on their face while watching sports on the ceiling as you sip your favorite beverage. A lot of good things can be said about this place! Having thick and straight hair, I have always found it kinda difficult finding a stylist and/or shop that could give me a good clean haircut without paying an outrageous amount of money. Through the years, I could tell quickly who who knew what they were doing and the others who either didn't or simply did a half ass job. Anyways, I have to say that after my first visit at Dean Anthony's, I am very satisfied with my cut and will definitely go back. My stylist was Alexandra and she both understood her craft and was pleasant conversation. Super bonus points for all the extras they offer, including snacks, drinks (I had a Red Bull although there was also beer and other goodies), video games for longer jobs, etc. Basically, they do what they can to make your visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible. There's not much I can say that numerous other reviews of Dean Anthony haven't already touched upon. From an envionment truly designed for a man to be comfortable to uber high quality services, I couldn't be happier that I finally decided to give this place a try. I've had several haircuts from Briana and she does a fantastic job each and every time. Often times I've found stylists to get lazy after the first few appointments and take your business for granted, but I haven't found that to be the case with either Dean Anthony or Briana. Every time I have an appointment, everyone goes out of their way to make me feel like a truly valued customer. Everyone goes out of their way to provide those extra amenities which make the experience awesome each and every time. I can't say enough good things about this business, and hope they continue to impress, because I intend on being a client for a long time! read more

It's been a little over two years now that I've been going to Dean Anthony. I have never seen anyplace like it and am a completely satisfied customer. My stylist is David and I normally get the Men's Classic Cut, but have on several occasions gotten the Modern Man shave (David also). I recommend looking over their website because they provide many services way beyond what I'd ever use myself (www.deananthonylb.com). From the modern design of the salon, to the LCD TVs at each station, to the way you are treated from the moment you come in the door, this place is all class. It is more than a haircut. There are elements of a spa experience built in that bring the haircut to an entirely different level...one that is definitely worth the price. David is beyond great at what he does and it feels to me like he really tries to improve on perfection every time he gives me a haircut. read more

I've been to a lot of salons, barber shops, and the like, and I've finally found a home at Dean Anthony. As far as I'm concerned, it's the best of both worlds. The atmosphere is very cool, and very chill. Very professional staff, TVs everywhere, good coffee (and a very tempthing PBR keg, one of these days I'll have to go later to see if that actually works). Tons of product if you like to get the good stuff. They have the basic service so you can look good without paying out the nose, but I strongly recommend getting a classic cut - man, it is relaxing. But plenty of services to choose from. Jenny does a great job with my unruly mop of hair, and she works morning hours so I get in and get my hair cut and get on with my day. Definitely recommend Dean Anthony, and Jenny in particular. So go get a haircut! read more

I've read all these reviews and had to see for myself if what they say is true. Well, it absolutely is! I walked in and was greeted by the girl at the front desk. She offered me a beverage and some snacks. I had arrived early for my appointment and was offered a complimentary chair massage from the massage therapist. It was only 5-10 minutes, but it was a way to sample the service. It was a great teaser! When it was time for my appointment, my stylist sat me in the chair and did exactly what they say they do: beverage, consultation, shampoo, cut, rinse (If you're down for the Classic Cut, this is when they offer a complimentary hot towel treatment), and style. I've been to places that charge $20-$50 for a haircut, but they do not compare to the quality service you receive at Dean Anthony. Check it out! read more

This is a one-of-a-kind place as far as I am concerned! ALL the folks that work there are super friendly, VERY EASY on the eyes, and to top it off: ya get pizza, a beer and your favorite movie while you get your groom-on. From a straight edge shave to a "most-cool-coiff" ...the folks at Dean Anthony are consummate professionals. But I just have to stop down and give the mad props to my main man: Big Nick Pasqua, the Jersey Kid. Nick is a smooth operator that knows how to sling the shears, and every time I get my doo adjusted by Nick, my wife of 26 years, signs up for another 2-3 years. look no farther than Dean Anthony's on 2nd St to get your hair cut! I mean a salon that has TVs in every station, and a few with gamer consoles how can you go wrong. The atmosphere is fantastic perfect guy hangout if it wasn't a salon. You actually don't feel like a sissy waiting to get your hair cut. Now my stylist of choice is definitely Jenni! Shes the best! Beautiful and brilliant with a pair of scissors. She treats my hair like Picasso would a painting. She's an artist. So go and ask for Jenni, sit back relax and let a master go to work. I have lived in Long Beach for three years and until recently, gotten my hair cut at Super Cuts because, well, they are inexpensive. It wasn't until the past year when it finally dawned on me that my haircuts weren't complimentary of my head shape and I always got a different stylist. So, I checked out Dean Anthony on Second Street. What a great place for a guy! They offer you an imported beer - a nice touch after a working day - and a great haircut, loaded with extras - several washes, cleansing facial wash, etc. I get my hair cut by Nick who is a great guy and listens to what I want and makes good suggestions. I now go regularly and would highly recommend Dean Anthony to any guy who wants to be treated right. read more

I absolutely love getting my hair done by Baky! She is seriously the sweetest and always has such a positive, welcoming energy. I have very long, thick hair, and she did an amazing job with my haircut. She really took her time and made sure everything looked beautiful and exactly how I wanted it. And the hair washes?! THE BEST. So relaxing and honestly one of my favorite parts of the appointment! Baky is incredibly talented, professional, and just an absolutely lovely person. great new find in L.B.! i love this salon for men. i have never had such great customer service while getting a haircut. everyone in this place is so friendly. so that alone, is worth the trip back. the real reason i will be going back to dean anthony's is the simple fact of the percission haircut i received by Wendy (i think that's her name) . she is amazing. wow, what an artist. i can't believe that it is only 40 bucks for this service with her. if you ever get a chance to get your haircut with her , please don't pass it up. i hope i remembered her name (cute, funky, tattoos) . thanks to everyone at dean anthony for making chore of getting my haircut into an appt. that i look forward too. read more
