I just paid $84 for a blow dry. Yes, you read this correctly. $84. Website says blow dry is $59. A "luxury" blow dry is $74. No idea what makes it a "luxury"but I definitely didn't receive that. in addition, I came into the salon with my hair already washed, but that wasn't taken into consideration when they charged me. When I questioned the cost, there was not a response. I just simply said " I can't believe you're charging that much". Crickets. As I was paying, I said, "unfortunately, I cannot afford this again" and the response was "I'm sorry to hear that,". It's obvious that Dean Anthony salon caters to the wealthier clientele. Michelle W. there is a miracle worker! My color was hideous and also very dark and stripey and I was worried it would be tough to correct but Michelle was very diligent and she did an amazing job. She worked with my closely to ensure the color was exactly what I had in mind and that nothing was too harsh on my hair. I picked her as a stylist because she had "curly hair specialist" on her profile. It is very difficult for me to find someone in my neighborhood who will cut my hair dry first to see how the curls lay when dry. I absolutely LOVE Jess because she is talented, creative and a perfectionist. I have been going here for 2 years and she's consistently awesome. My rating is for the front desk staff who are not kind and often patronizing, don't call back when they promise to check on something and get back to you and act like it's a bother when you call with questions. They make the experience less than desirable. I absolutely hate having to call for ANY reason, which is a shame because the salon itself is fantastic.
