After stopping at several locations along the way, we finally arrived at The Ritz-Carlton Club, Vail, and from the moment you pull in, you immediately understand why this place is special. As soon as you arrive, the valet staff greets you right away. The Ritz truly offers full-service hospitality. You simply take any personal items you want with you and head inside to check in while they handle everything else. They unload all of your luggage, neatly place any loose items into a nice bag, park your vehicle, and once they see you've made it to your room, your luggage is delivered shortly after. Walking through the front doors, there is a table set up with hand lotion, several different SPF sunscreens, hand sanitizer, and baskets of washcloths for guests returning from outside activities -- a very thoughtful touch. Check-in was quick and effortless. The staff explained the amenities, where everything was located, and then off to our room we went. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit, and when we opened the door we were immediately impressed. The decor was beautiful and upscale without feeling overdone. The entryway included a half bath, followed by a dining area and small bar setup. The kitchen featured Bosch and Breville appliances, which added to the luxury feel. The living room had a sofa bed, comfortable seating, and a large tv over the fireplace that made the room feel very cozy and a balcony looking at the slops. Both bedrooms were nearly identical and absolutely stunning, each with: a huge king bed, a large bathroom, heated floors, a separate shower and Jacuzzi tub, and double sinks. One of the bedrooms also had a balcony. Every evening starting around 4 p.m., the resort hosts different socials including cookies, wine tastings, and later bourbon tastings. It really added to the overall experience and made the property feel even more welcoming and luxurious. There is honestly so much more I could say about this property, but overall we absolutely loved our stay. If you are looking for one of the best places to stay in Vail, this is it.

Well appointed room, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with all the little luxuries. It has a steam room, and outdoor pool and a very nice lounge for chilling apres ski. There is a shuttle to and from the Arabelle where you have a very short walk to the lift. There's also a tent there where you check your skis and poles so you don't have to schlep them back to the hotel. The shuttle takes all of 90 seconds. Wonderful friendly staff and valet parking - free for the first car. Highly recommended!

Our greeter/docent, Jane was a walking encyclopedia of fun facts and interesting stories about Aspen. It was easy to visualize Aspen's growth and how it evolved from humble beginnings as a poor mining town to the Aspen we all know as the place that only the very rich can afford to ski and play and live.

They used to give you beer while you got fitted..maybe Covid changed those plans but regardless they do everything they can to make sure you have proper fitting ski, boots, bindings and poles. If you forgot something, like your goggles, they have very reasonable ski accessories. Maybe not the best place to rent a snowboard, but for ski's these guys are number ONE in Aspen. Located right across the street from the W Hotel and down the block from the Gondola entrance, you cannot miss this place. Save money, be impressed and have good gear while you are visiting the magic of Aspen.

We had a beautiful tour through still water ranch. With two black brother and sister Mules. This company does a beautiful thing, they rescue horses from the slaughter house They offer private or group sleigh rides. They also do carriage rides in town. We opted for just the 4 of us and boy was it magical. The trail was lined with beautiful trees and snow and mountain homes tucked around us. The ranch is on the back side of aspen mountain and has a stream running through it. We stopped for photos and were able to walk out on a precious little bridge they call "proposal walk" The owner offered us hot chocolate and did a great job telling us about the property. And surrounding homes/area. It was such a beautiful ride! I'll cherish it forever. Men, if you have a girl and you want to make her your wife.... if she likes snow and mountains and horses and streams. Uhhhhh I think this is your spot. You will never find a more magical setting. The owner even shared that he had a ride timed perfect with the New Years fire works on aspen mountain. She thought they were getting out to watch the fireworks from the bridge and he got down on one knee swoon! I mean regardless of whether it's New Years or not it's still a beautiful spot for a proposal. And for us, it was a wonderful relaxing way to start the new year! His insight, illustrations and suggestions for my CFII written exam got me a 100% (!!) which later impressed the DPE (FAA examiner). Loren worked with me and took me through all the required maneuvers and approaches to near perfection (hard to do in mountain turbulence). When I went for my checkride, it almost seemed easy compared to all the focused training. I'm amazed at how well prepared I was for this rating - all due to the expert and competency of my instructor. I highly recommend this flight school.
