    Deviled eggs (brunch only)

The food was delicious. A friend and I went for brunch. I ordered the deviled eggs and the cinnamon role. OMG. My friend ordered the pizza and our eyes bulged. Literally. The service was immaculate and we felt special during our dining experience. We will be back for dinner. Small warning: the drinks are strong. I had 2 dirty martinis (well-made btw) and had trouble finishing the 2nd one. All good things

Amazing restaurant. We had a reservation for 4 and were seated immediately upon arriving. The atmosphere is just beautiful. Our server was very attentive and sweet. She was able to recommend some great things and answer all of our questions! We were even greeted by the manager on duty during dinner. He stopped by to check in to see how our dinner was and was overall just very kind. All of our food was absolutely amazing. The steak was perfect! It had a great crust and just melted in your mouth. We had a fantastic experience here and cannot recommend this place enough!

SO glad we finally made it into Dean's!!! We didn't have a reservation but got lucky when we walked in and were able to get a nice booth after a very short wait. The vibe is a mix of elegant and relaxed (especially loved the music and the comfy booths). But the highlight of our experience was definitely our waiter, Cassidy, who was absolutely exceptional in every way -- friendly, attentive and full of great recommendations! We started with the Parker house rolls (warm, soft and absolutely divine) and truffle bucatini (which we added some lobster butter to on Cassidy's recommendation -- DELISH). Then we shared the bone-in NY strip, which came with a beautiful crust and was sliced for us (tender, juicy and so flavorful), and we got a side of Marsala mushrooms (perfect with the steak) and the billionaires twice baked potato (WOW, showstopper!). Cassidy also kindly brought us two special desserts (NY cheesecake with cherry compote and chocolate mousse cake -- both SO good) as we were celebrating my husband's birthday and our early anniversary! We had an all around incredible experience... we can't wait to come back!

Restaurant located inside JW Marriott hotel. Was happily greeted and seated upon entering. Service was good. I do love open kitchen restaurants and being able to see the chefs cooking. Got to enjoy seeing some pizza dough throwing, which I loved. We started off with their meatballs. You get about 4 normal sized meatballs. They were tasty. Definitely tasted homemade. I felt like I was eating at an Italian family Sunday dinner. The sauce was good and had some heat to it which was nice. For entries we went with the wagyu bolognese, sausage and peppers pizza and the brush Creek ranch waygu burger. The bolognese looked good and my friend enjoyed it. The pizza, man another great (non Buffalo) pizza (haha) But yes this pizza was very good. Wood fire pizza at its finest. The pizza toppings were in abundance! No need ask for extras. The waygu burger was good. It came with "tomatoe jam" , which I love but this one did not meet the mark, but it was easy to brush off and enjoy the burger, which was cooked to perfection and seasoned well! They have a dessert stand when you first walk in, and everything looked amazing. Unfortunately, we were to full and heading to the airport and were unable to try anything, but I was told some of the best cinnamon buns in the area! Next time...

Was at the JW Marriott for a spa service and decided to stop in at Dean's for lunch. First time here and I'm glad I did decided to stop in. We had exceptional service with our server and enjoyed a really nice meal with some great friends. The menu had a variety of options to select from and we decided to just go with a soup and salad as well as one of their pizzas since it was early in the day. Can't wait to stop back in this place again and try some of their other amazing options.

Dean's really showed out for us. From the moment we sat down, Shawn took care of our group of four like we were regulars. Service was smooth, attentive, and honestly one of the highlights of the night. I went with the dry-aged ribeye, and it did exactly what it needed to do. Perfect cook, great flavor, and one of those steaks where you slow down a little just to make it last. The veggie sides--broccoli and asparagus--were surprisingly delicious. Simple, but seasoned right and cooked with intention. Only real low point for me? The mashed potatoes. Not terrible by any means, but compared to everything else on the table, they just didn't hit the same. Overall though, Dean's is absolutely worth it. The service, the steak, the whole vibe made it a great experience. Highly recommend -- 4.8/5.

Where do I even begin? This experience was AMAZING. Service: 100000/10. Food: 10/10. Absolutely flawless. We ordered the steak, the shrimp pasta, asparagus, and lobster mac and cheese -- and started with the most incredible wedge salad. Every single dish was mouthwatering. I completely forgot to take photos because I was so hungry (and it smelled that good), which honestly says everything. The service was just as impressive as the food. They cleared our table after each course without ever being intrusive -- everything felt seamless and elevated. And the ambiance? Perfect for date night. Romantic, comfortable, and just the right vibe. I truly can't recommend this place enough. And if you can sit with Jeff, do it. He is an absolute doll and made the whole night even better.

Our dinner at Dean's Italian Steakhouse was fantastic. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. My Ora King Salmon was cooked to perfection, the best I ever had. It was so good I went to the kitchen and told the chef how much I liked it. I had Rapini on the side, and it was a perfect pairing. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

I decided to book a 2-in-1 experience after having a lovely early spa day upstairs at JW. It was only right to take advantage of an open brunch reservation downstairs. It was not busy, and it was what I needed to return home just to relax even more. I kept it light and ordered the Bacon Caviar Deviled Eggs and Lobster Avocado Toast. Both were divine and the coffee was fresh!

YUM! The hubs and I enjoyed dinner and brunch at Dean's during our recent stay at the JW. Favorites: Tuna Crudo Wagyu Bolognese Truffle Eggs Sausage Hash Great Lattes The yummy warm bread & butter The service was excellent and each visit was fantastic. Dean's is delicious!

I stayed at the JEMarriott in Charlotte and was eager to try this restaurant that's on the first floor lobby. First things first let's start with the bread. The bread is divine. It just melts in your mouth. it's served with a butter that taste like it was churned. I ordered a Caesar salad with the anchovy and a 6 oz fillet. The fillet was just perfect seasoned to perfection. The restaurant is a little pricey, but I think it's worth every penny.

I'm in the process of making a reservation with my husband for a special occasion. It will be just the two of us. What's the best seat in the house? We really like a high top in the lounge or an intimate booth. Thoughts?

    Intimate booth!

    Is it Pet friendly?

Good morning, Polly. The interior of Dean's Italian Steakhouse is not pet friendly but there is a seasonal patio where your pet would be able to join you for Brunch!

Is the pizza or available for dinner? Perhaps at the bar?

No, this is a more upscale Italian dining experience. I'm pretty sure they didn't have pizza on their menu

We came for brunch and they almost had to roll us out of there. They passed around oysters, shrimp cocktail and grilled pineapple with honey. Three different food stations: meat, vegetable and shrimp skewers was one; your choice of southern ham (prosciutto basically) or crab cake eggs benedicts was the second one and the third one I don't remember (mostly because I didn't quite make it there). In the middle they had lobster deviled eggs, assorted tea sandwiches and a small section with desserts. Everything was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. Yes, it's expensive but so well worth it!! Parking can be an issue but the good thing is, you can walk off a little of everything that you ate so that's a win!

They barely brought around food like the French toast bites. They kept bringing around oysters and literally no table wanted them that I saw. It wasn't that busy either, tons of empty tables. Instead they held off the arguably best dish of the house: French toast bites. We FINALLY got them at the end of our meal before we left but had to stalk the waiter for them. For $78 there should be way more rotations of the better dishes. Our waiter was great and atmosphere is gorgeous. Playing, food quality and everything was average. The highlight was the poached eggs, eggs Benedict, bacon, potatoes, skewers and everything else was okay. Not better than like Golden Corral or a standard buffet. My opinion is skip the brunch for that price, unless you really like oysters LOL. Also if I had little kids, would never waste money on brunch here.

I came off of a recommendation from a family friend, and they assured me I would have a great experience at any point in time and with any server. Though, They did recommend Victor. The steaks that we ordered were technically proficient, and seasoned with authority, to complement their dry aging process. We ordered the New York and a fillet mignon. Our sides included a baked potato, Caesar salads, and buttered broccoli. I became a little creative and I dragged my fillet mignon through the buttered sauce from the broccoli and I didn't think it could get better than that. When Victor mentioned that we should just buy a bottle of wine, his recommendation was fantastic. We got the bottle of Oberon. Unfortunately, this Restaurant Week visit was nothing like the Eddie V's I remembered. I dined solo at the bar and actually had to ask for the Restaurant Week menu. I chose the upgraded lobster bisque (+$5) and Chilean sea bass (+$10), looking forward to treating myself. I rarely splurge on a nice dinner, so this was something I had been excited about all day. The food was mixed. The lobster bisque was flavorful, although the amount of lobster was surprisingly small. The mashed potatoes were outstanding, and the asparagus was very good. The Chilean sea bass was cooked well but lacked seasoning and wasn't the memorable entrée I expected. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. The restaurant was less than half full during my visit, so the extended delays were especially surprising. I waited an unusually long time for my entrée while guests who arrived after me were served first. Another surprise was that the only restroom I was directed to required going down to the basement, which was difficult with my mobility issues (I need my knee replaced). I would encourage the restaurant to make it clearer whether there is an accessible restroom available on the main floor, as this could be challenging for many guests. After another long wait for dessert, I asked to have my crème brûlée boxed because the delays meant I would now be walking back to my hotel after dark. I explained that I had intentionally walked there for exercise and had planned to walk back before dark. The response I received was simply, "Just call an Uber." That completely missed the point. I wasn't asking for transportation--I was explaining how the delays had changed my evening. To add to the confusion, I was given two desserts instead of the one I requested. While I appreciate the gesture if it was intended that way, it reinforced the feeling that no one was really listening. What disappointed me most wasn't simply the wait. It was the complete lack of service recovery. No sincere apology, no acknowledgment of how long I'd waited, and no effort to make the experience feel special. I've always thought of Eddie V's as one of Charlotte's premier dining experiences. That's exactly why this visit was so disappointing. I sincerely hope this was an isolated experience because I'd like to remember Eddie V's for the exceptional restaurant it has been in the past.

Celebrating my 55th birthday with a brunch at Crunkleton. This was my first visit, but will…read moredefinitely not be my last. First and foremost, our waiter, Alan was the best! I'm talking top tier, Veuve Clicquot Brut service...with a little spice...Best! He was so accommodating and keep us laughing the entire time. He went out of his way to make my day special! We started with beignets, oysters on the half shell and cocktails. Espresso Martinis, a Dirty Martini, and a specialty cocktail made to order. It may sound like a weird combination, but it all paired well together. I was in the mood for beef. So, I ordered the Wagyu Brunch Burger- 1/2 lb Wagyu, Over-Easy Egg, Grilled Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Hollandaise, Avocado Spread, Brioche Bun, Garlic and Herb Fries. The fam had the Veggie Ranchero omelet- Seasonal Beans, Grilled Corn, Pico de Gallo, Poblano, Cheddar, Avocado, Tortilla Strips, Ranchero, Chipotle-Lime Crema, and a Hashbrown Casserole. Fingerling Breakfast potatoes, with a side of bacon and eggs, and another Hashbrown Casserole. Everything was cooked to perfection. I had such a great time and can't wait to return. I even made a recommendation to a friend who dined there Labor Day weekend and enjoyed her experience. I'll be back soon for sure!

He recommended the chargrilled oysters as well as the crab cakes which did not disappoint. I prefer handcrafted cocktails and this is exactly what you're going to experience at Crunkleton. Not only did I inhale my blackberry gin based drink but I was extremely pleased with the birthday beignets. If that's not enough, we devoured a third of our tomahawk steak, the strawberry salad and my favorite item of the night were the mixed vegetables that accompanied the steak. Yassss! I loved the veggies. Looking for foodie vibes, grab your friends and enjoy a night at the Crunkleton. Pro-Tip: parking is validated; arrive early to avoid crowds

The restaurant was very clean and the noise volume low enough to where we could visit and comfortably carry on conversations. Our waiter was gracious and helped us to catch up with the rest of our party. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Nior and Dinner while the rest of our party finished their appetizers and salads. I ordered the steak frites and it was just wonderful! My boyfriend ordered the special which was halibut, asparagus, and mushroom risotto. Everything was perfect! The couple that was seated across from us split the special. The kitchen didn't hesitate to split this dish for them in the kitchen before bringing it out to our table. This is just excellent customer service! They are an elderly couple and could not possibly have eaten the entire meal by themselves. Our waiter was very attentive and nobody at the table ever had an empty glass. Also, your plate was cleared the moment that you finished with your meal. This was our first visit, but definitely not the last. Thank you for making our evening out with family and friends so very special. We will definitely be back in the near future.

The other, lettuce (never have seen that in a Maine lobster roll) and aioli). The one with butter had a nice brioche roll but most of the lobster was small claw ends vs nice chunks. The one on lettuce was better, more larger pieces of lobster, but meat was put onto a lot of lettuce to prop it up. It takes some effort, but buying a live lobster and cooking oneself is really the best way. I was hopeful- but ultimately disappointed.
