This is a solid little joint to grab some cheap good beer and decent pizza. We always like to come here when it is dark, we usually go to the non smoking dining area. Decorations for Christmas were still up and they play very nice music in here for the holidays. Our waitress took our order and we got a couple of beers and a 14 inch pizza to share with sausage and pepperoni. I keep forgetting how big this pizza is...we ended up taking three big pieces home for lunch the next day. Pizza is quite good, the sausage is a little chunky, but it tastes nice...might ask for light sausage next time. As someone else posted, this is for sure a SLEEPER! Definitely worth a try over to Deans. Stopped in around 9P Saturday evening. Not a big crowd. Got seated right away for our party of six. Service was really good. We dropped a utensil on the floor and the waitress was there in a second with a new one without us even having to ask. There is a big bar, secluded from dining room. Place smells pretty smokey. We ordered a present salad, bruschetta, mushroom risotto, Tuscan chicken, eggplant parmigiana, kids spaghetti and meatballs, kids cheese pizza, and a white pizza add roasted peppers. We were greeted by the bar tender and were told to sit anywhere. Amanda our server was super nice and very patient with our questions and needs she was attentive and prompt on taking our order. The food was dry tasty and fresh, I had the chicken with angel hair sun-dried tomatoes artichoke hearts and Kalamata olives. And my husband had the lasagna which I had to have a bite and it had a very good taste to it, more of a homemade taste. It is close to the oasis RV park where we stay so it is very convenient. This place is basically a dive bar which happens to also serve Italian food. It's located nearby the Silverton. When you enter the center door takes you to the bar area, and there are dining areas on either side. It seemed like the main dining area was off to the right as you enter. I ordered the chicken parmesan which goes for $19.99. The dinner does not come with soup or salad, but the portions are very generous and the food is good. I also thought the service was friendly and attentive. It's open 24/7 so you can also even have breakfast here. read more

This place a great hole in the wall Italian restaurant attached to a gaming sports bar. I was a bit confused when I walked in, since there is no front desk with a host to check in. But just wait for a hostess/server near the tables and someone will come out to you. We were the only party eating but the food did take a bit to arrive. It was well worth the wait, I highly recommend the fettuccine alfredo. I paid extra for the shrimp and they gave so much that I couldn't finish it all. Reviewing this place a little late. 14 of us went to Deans place on Thanksgiving and what a marvelous meal we had, not everyone had turkey they ordered off their regular menu. Took me a few days to find the words for this truly hidden gem in south Vegas. I have a place close by and visit the city frequently. Dean's Place is located next to the Silverton Resort. Dean's place offers an AYCE rib dinner on Wednesday nights for $25. To describe the experience as anything less than exceptional would be a gross injustice. I am admittedly a full on rib snob. I smoke em myself and take a lot of pride in the compliments received. Dean's Place ribs make me look like a rank amateur. In a word, they are perfect. Tender, meaty, succulent, perfectly spiced, fall off the g-d damn bone perfection. The AYCE is dangerous. My partner and I cleaned 33 bones between us and rolled out of there worried about exploding. Control went right out the window. Shockingly there were only a couple other tables occupied in the comfortable, homey dining room. The serving staff are low key low pressure and lovely. They know what they are serving up! I've heard rumours of the best eggs Benny being served here. If the ribs are any indication, I may need to buy a property next door! In this era of Vegas strip rip offs, Dean's Place restores faith in the Vegas I remember. read more

Went with my brother to try the rib special that I saw on a flyer I received in the mail at my home. The restaurant had a dining room, a smoking bar that was fully separate from the facility (which was great for non-smokers like me) and a bar/dining area where we sat. At 5:30 pm, there were only 6 tables occupied and about 5 people gambling at the bar. The server was attentive and had a great personality. The rib dinners included a slab of ribs (baby back if I am not mistaken), baked beans, corn bread, cole slaw and french fries for about $25 per person. The ribs were the meatiest ribs I have ever had but were sauced very lightly. The server brought additional sauce at my request. The ribs were fall off the bone cooked with very little fat (see picture). The special was all you could eat but with so much meat on the one slab, that was all either my brother or I could eat. The hard cider we had was $5 per serving so the meal was very affordable. Standard menu looked italian but didn't really review it as we were there for ribs. We will have to go back another time to try the regular menu. My understanding is that the rib special is only on Wednesdays and runs until their supply runs out. I would highly recommend this restaurant as an interesting place to try and two thumbs up for the food. read more

I want to let you know that have a "top ten" list for Benedicts. #1 being the best and #10 not as good. I found Dean's Place did make my top ten. They have a 5 star review in all categories . My rating is based on 3 weights : 70% = taste 20% = presentation 10% = price #1 - taste: They use Canadian bacon . I asked for soft poached eggs and was presented with the same. The Hollandaise sauce was made from scratch in house, had a very pleasing, distinctive flavor and taste. The reason I review Eggs Benedict is because of the difference in the flavor of the Hollandaise sauce. Their hash browns were shredded #2 -presentation : The presentation was good. #3-price: $12.95 is on the low side with Bennys with hash browns. Coffee for $2.95 a cup is just at today's normal. It is hard to insert a new Benny into my top ten but this one was easy. Because of the flavor I put it in the #1 spot. To see why I did this I suggest you try it for yourself. read more

My daughter and I came here in the middle of the night a few months ago. I'm a night owl. It is so hard to find good food in the middle of the night. This place was surprisingly delicious! The service was great too! It is a bar that has tables to serve food. It does have a somewhat separate area that they probably use when busy. It was around 1am on a weekday when we walked in. No one was eating and there were several people at the bar. We definitely didn't look like the crowd that was in there. I was put off at first, like maybe we should go somewhere else. My daughter loves Italian food so she was like let's just try it. I'm glad we did! When the food came out we were surprised! It looked and smelled great. It tasted as good as it looked if not better. The servers were great and made us feel welcomed, even though we didn't match the crowd or vibe that was in there. I admit "I was judging a book by it's cover" when I first walked in. We ordered take out and were so happy with our choices. We got a 14" pizza, mild buffalo wings, and Italian wedding soup. We asked for the pizza to be cooked longer than normal and it was perfect. The wings were the right amount of spicy for us. We asked for both ranch and blue cheese. Usually ranch from pizza places are not good, but this ranch really delivered. Wow! Definitely worth trying out! The other night my boyfriend and I drove by this place on our way to and coming back from In N Out located on Blue Diamond. He was like, 'hey, maybe we should try this place out one day'. We ended up coming here tonight and it was absolutely fabulous! There are two sections in this restaurant - a tavern that allows all types smoking and a dining room/bar separate from the tavern that does not allow any smoking at all (great if you have kids or just can't stand smoke in general). We sat at the dining room bar since we didn't want to handle all the smoke inside the tavern. I was expecting it to be busy for a Saturday night, but it was actually very quiet, with just us and two other groups of people. We were seated in front of a video poker screen but we didn't play it as we rarely gamble. We were greeted by Katie the bartender, who was extremely friendly and checked up on us every once in a while. They don't have a drink menu in their dining room, so she showed me all the drink selections behind the bar. My boyfriend had a double shot of Captain Morgan and I had a raspberry vodka martini. Our appetizer choice was calamari, which consisted of red peppers and jalapeños. For food, I had a 10" pizza with pepperoni and meatballs as my choice of toppings, and my boyfriend had the chicken parmesan. Katie was impressed that we finished all our food. Saturday, late afternoon. Ambiance in the bar is typical Vegas style pub - gaming on the bar top, sports on the tv. Bartender was friendly and fast. For an unexplained reason, she can't take food orders but she called a server from the restaurant side, who was also friendly and funny, we really enjoyed her. I tried the bacon wrapped shrimp, which was an off-menu special- the bacon was a bit overcooked to my taste but very nice sized shrimp. I also ordered the caesar salad, and although it was too big to finish, it was a great salad. The patrons at the bar were incredibly loud, so that kept us from hanging around after dinner, but we wouldn't hesitate to return and hope for a more mellow crowd next time. :) read more

One of the greatest things about this classic Vegas lounge is they have a non-smoking eating section or you can get cocktails watch the Golden Knights play and get some pretty darn good food without sitting in the smoky atmosphere of the casino area. What a great place, I must have driven passed this place a hundred times going to Bass pro shop. The building is a bright modern restaurant with an Italian villa look to it. A large closed off bar in the center and a quieter dining room on the sides. We were looking for a place to eat in the early afternoon after discovering most of the places at the Silverton were still closed until 4p. This place has a great Italian beef sandwich hits all the notes perfectly on a nice crusty Italian bread hoagie. The menu was filled with classic Italian dishes, that you would find in most full-scale old school Italian restaurants, lasagna, bolognaise, eggplant parmesan, chicken Piccata to name a few. The bar tender provided us with friendly attentive service as well as a brief history of the place. We will defiantly be back. read more
