I went in to see my friend Madison. She is an amazing person. She has a heart of gold, and her positivity is very refreshing. The guy working with her was the person who greeted me in a very friendly and welcoming manner. I didn't catch his name, but he was definitely a 5 Star Bar Tender. I was glad to hear that Madison will be working more Swing shifts, especially on Weekends. I actually had a birthday celebration planned at a different Distill, but may change it to this location. It legitimately has the best bar food in the city...and even in these times, they keep it affordable which I greatly appreciate . The staff and clientele are consistently positive with good energy. What a nice surprise ! Got one of the low Tables with 4 comfy chairs for 4 people. The table was tucked away from the bar area which was kinda nice since we were seated in the smoking area ( it's a gaming place after all ). We thought we were going to be smoked out but in actuality .. it wasn't that bad. Most of the items on the menu look like, at first glance, bar food, fried stuff, burgers ...etc but we all managed to order some fairly healthy stuff. I had a protein bowl like my friend suggested and since I was super hungry .... I ordered double the meat. I received a VERY healthy double portion of meat which was EPIC. For the money spent there was a ton of value in this meal and the beef was tender and not tuff. According to our very lovely, friendly and accommodating waitress .. Over 100 check ins here over the past 10 years. Have probably been here twice that in actual visits. This is a great local place with some great food, nice vibe, clean as a whistle and friendly servers. We come here for brunch consistently and Ashlynn takes care of us regularly. She is kind, knows our regular order and keeps us in hot coffee! She and the rest of the staff are the main reason we are regulars here at Distill. Ask for Ash and you won't be disappointed. The food is consistent and tasty. Bacon and eggs are our "go-to" but they make a great omelette and the biscuits n gravy are also good. The breakfast sandwich is pretty good too. Ordered a burger, which was overcooked. So instead of returning it at the risk of them spitting in my food, I asked for some mayo to help choke it down. When I got the bill there was a .75 cents charge for the mayo. REALLY? I can't believe it. Literally nickel and dimeing me. I've eaten here a couple of times. A few Saturdays ago I went in with my grandson. I saw the IPA shrimp in a buttery Cajun sauce on the menu, so ordered it. It was fantastic! The shrimp were cooked to perfection. The buttery Cajun sauce was amazing. The small loaf of bread, to soak ip the excess sauce, was soft and pillowy, perfect for its task. Originally a five star. I went back for a Friday lunch and once again ordered that fantastic shrimp dish. It wasn't quite the same. The shrimp were over cooked -- they were rubbery. The taste was there, but the shrimp were not good. The tails were on these shrimp (the first dish had the tails off), so were also a bit messier to eat. Now I give it a four star. I went in last night, another Saturday, and again ordered the IPA shrimp (when you find something great, you order again). I was again disappointed -- once again overcooked shrimp. I realize even a few seconds too long cooking will overcook shrimp. I want the original chef, who removed the tails and cooked the shrimp to perfection, to prepare my next meal. LOL The flavor was a five, the shrimp a three. I'll try it one more time and hopefully get the original dish. read more

It had been awhile since I had gone to a Distill but so glad I stopped into this one with friends. From the moment my boyfriend and I stepped in, we were warmly greeted by Carrie at the bar. She was super welcoming and quickly had us set up with their Taco Tuesday and Happy Hour menus. I ordered their Pinky which was a solid first drink. I later had a Pretty Please Rita and their Cherry Limeade, the latter of which was my favourite but unfortunately not part of the drink specials. The bar wasn't too busy at the moment so I appreciated that she wasn't rushing us to move simply because we weren't gaming. A pretty large group was joining us so we switched from the bar top to some tables and there was no issue with that, seamlessly being transferred over to our server Alex. Alex did a wonderful job navigating everybody's food and drink orders and was super patient with us. He also joked around with us which was nice having a crowd as large as ours was. I didn't end up eating but all of the tacos that came out looked quite solid. Overall, it was a great time with reasonable prices. Great bar! And nice lounge. Came here on 2/22 to have some drinks with an old friend to celebrate my belated birthday. We have been here before and liked it. We ordered a couple beers and some shots of tequila to celebrate! The service was good and quick. And we had a great time catching up. Was also watching the Golden Knights game. They also have a huge bar and bar top seating. They have one or two pool tables by the entrance. There was a steady amount of people that Saturday night, but not packed. So it was chill which I like. As for food, it was late night, so we just ordered the pretzel bites. Unfortunately, I have to honestly say that the pretzel was stale and a bit bland. The pimento cheese dip (I think it was that) did save the pretzel. The plain cheese was also flavorless. Unfortunately, we will not be ordering that again. But it happens! This is like an even more upscale WSKY or PT's with even better food. The ambiance is fun and welcome with a jukebox and music that is fun and at the correct volume to be able to talk still. Draft beer is only $5 so being here doesn't break the bank for sure. The beer is served in ice cold almost frozen glasses. They are a scratch kitchen and you can tell by the taste of the food. We got the jalapeño Mac and cheese bites that were super crispy and flavorful but I wanted a bit more texture inside on the macaroni. The real winner on that dish was the dipping sauce for these bites. The pretzel bites were buttery and chewy with a nacho cheese sauce and mustard. For the dessert, we got the deep fried Oreos, which were crispy and soft on the inside. They were tasty but not the best I've had. We sat at the bar and the bartenders frequently checked in on to see if we needed anything. Great choice! I've been wanting to check this place out for a long time and finally did today with my brother who was visiting from out of town. He wanted a good chicken sandwich and we were headed somewhere else, but I'm so glad we stopped here instead. I had the fresh turkey club on marbled rye (a rare choice at most places) and my brother had the grilled chicken sandwich on a roll. Both were delicious and came with generous sides like mine with steak fries and his with a side salad. Our server was very nice and professional and she got our very specific orders right.
