Being connected to a gaming room, you'd think there would be a lot of noise and cigarette smoke filtering into the dining section. My wife then played video poker for about an hour. She used her free replay and also put roughly $30 of her own money into the machine. When we were ready to leave, I placed $20 on the bar assuming it would cover the drinks based on the happy hour menu we were given. Shortly after that, the manager came over with the bill, which was around $36. When I asked about the price, the manager explained that the happy hour menu only applies to the restaurant side and not the bar area. To be fair, when he pointed it out, there is small print on the menu mentioning that. That said, since we were clearly new customers sitting directly at the bar and ordering from that same menu, it would have been very easy for the bartender to simply say something like, "Just so you know, that happy hour pricing only applies in the restaurant area." That clarification never happened. Another thing that stood out is that in Las Vegas it's a well-known industry standard that gamblers are typically comped their drinks while playing. My wife had been actively gambling for close to an hour and spent about $30 of her own money, so it was surprising that the drinks were neither comped nor adjusted after the misunderstanding. As a fellow small business owner here in Southern Highlands, I know that situations like this are opportunities to build goodwill with customers. At our business we make it a priority to treat people with integrity and respect. Tourists are important, but locals are the heart of the community, and we never want anyone leaving our establishment feeling frustrated if we can help it. I'm sharing this as honest feedback. I did notice that several other reviews don't appear to receive responses, so I'm not necessarily expecting one here either. Always stop by for the prime rib dip. However, this visit they mention the were out of prime rib dips. I asked if they had prime rib and they said yes. However, they said it was not the same meet as the BBC prime rib they serve. But I order the fish and chips and they were very good. I would definitely order again. I did not know this existed until we drove by it going home from another restaurant. Couple of days later, we decided to give it a try. This location has a dining area and a bar area, so you can choose to not be in a smoke filled environment...I was very happy about that. We walked in around 5 pm and we were the first ones in the non smoke area. The waitress in there was wonderful and let us know it was happy hour and that tacos were on special that day. We both ordered a happy hour beer for 4 dollars...total bargain. They were playing some sports on the TVs and had some pretty good music going on...I thought it was well done. I tried the carne asada tacos for 12.99 and hub got the French dip for 12.99 as well. Food came out very fresh and was delicious...totally bar food...not anything that would blow your mind...but it hit the spot. The tacos had a nice red spicy sauce on them as well as pickled onions. Hub got his sandwich with meat only, no condiments except for the au jus...he asked for steak fries...he was happy. Came to watch the ncaa games and get a bite to eat. I was pleasantly surprised, it was delicious and really clean. Service was prompt. I got the 24/7 special steak and eggs and my only gripe was the steak was cooked well and I asked for medium. Other than that I love it. I've been to the Village Pub a couple of times. I've always found the good goo and plentiful. Tasty and big portions. Today I had their Fish & Chips meal. It came with four chunks of fish, and steak fries. There was a great tartar sauce served with the meal, and malt vinegar was available on the table. The taste was top notch, a very good beer batter on the fish. It wasn't very crispy (not like the videos I've seen of English Chippy Shops with the large, flat, very crispy looking fish). The fish had a mild crispiness with soft, chunky, not flaky, fish. And for $16.99 there was a lot of food. I was very hungry, so finished all four pieces of fish and about half the fries. The pieces of fish at Village Pub were about three to three-and-a half inches long, by an inch-and-a-half thick - there were four in the meal. It was very tasty, just not the ultra crisp of videos I've seen. But definitely worth the $17. I'd definitely recommend the Village Pub. The food is very tasty and portions generous. read more

The pub is broken up into two sections. The bar is in an enclosed space on the left, and the restaurant dining room is on the right. The menu is pretty extensive with daily specials but you know I had to order their 24hr steak & eggs breakfast. You get two eggs, steak, toast& breakfast potatoes all for $9..99. You just can't beat the price of a variety of good food and the relaxed atmosphere of this place. I'm thinking the demographic is about 50 years plus, but I always see families gathered together at this location. From shrimp baskets to steaks, breakfast eggs and sausage, and corned beef sandwiches, this place has it all. The employees are friendly and the service is good. They also have a separate bar area where people like to drink and throw their money away into the slot machines. This is probably one of the reasons the food is still affordable here. Super clean pub! When you walk in there is an area for just food and another side for the bar. The restrooms were so clean. The waiters were super nice and attentive. But the food! That was just a miss for me and my family. I will say I enjoyed the cauliflower nuggets they were nice and fresh and warm. The burger was like dry. I ordered plain chicken tenders and they were dry. The chicken tenders that we ordered with bbq sauce was not that good either not sure if it was the sauce. The onion rings were okay they were not bad they did taste fresh. I had a double Hennessey and Red Bull, it was good. Great choice for a meal at off hours because there a full menu with quite the variety of items available 24/7. Prices are good and even better during happy hours or if you take advantage of specials. Food comes out nicely done and fairly quick. It has the typical gaming bar feel to it but you can go into a restaurant only area if you want to escape that. I've never been to a Village Pub before, but I've heard good things about it, so I decided to try it out on my recent trip to Las Vegas. I ordered the Tuesday daily special which was a pot roast dinner for only $10.99. Although the price was certainly very reasonable, I wasn't particularly impressed. It was certainly ok, but I thought the pot roast was a little fatty. It came smothered in a tangy gravy along with mashed potatoes and a side of vegetables. The dinner also came with a choice of soup or salad, and I chose the salad. The lettuce, unfortunately, was slightly wilted, but still certainly edible. My guess is that I simply ordered the wrong thing, so I need to try again some other time. Hopefully, next time I'll have something I'll enjoy better. read more

The food is your standard pub grub with some surprising nuggets of gold. The chicken pot pie is flavorful and has a large amount of chicken in it. Came here for their 24 hour special which is steak and eggs for $9.99. The special comes with steak, eggs, some kind of a potato side, and toast. It was a lot of food and I took half of it home. I asked them to cook my steak medium and they actually did a great job. Tony was our server, and he was very accommodating and super friendly. The restaurant was closed at 1 AM so we had to eat in the bar which was fine except for the smoke from those gambling at the bar. I will definitely come back here but will try and sit in the restaurant if possible. My husband got the wings and barbecue sauce, and he was happy with them. read more

This Village Pub was built brand new for this location. It has plenty of parking, front and back with lots of room to bring family and friends. Upon entering they have sectioned off the bar area and the restaurant area with doors leading to each room. This was a quick visit for me, so I decided to check out the bar area. The bar area has plenty of seating at and around the bar. They have booth and table seating for people that don't want to sit directly at the bar. They also have a couple of spots at the bar that have no gaming machines, just in case you want to sit at the bar and not a gamer. They offer draft and bottle beer selections and also signature cocktails for your beverage of choice. The food was very great! Like I mentioned before this was a quick visit so I had the Zucchini Sticks for an appetizer and Chicken Wings for dinner, basic stuff. The Zucchini Sticks were deelish and so were the Chicken Wings both served with a side of Ranch Dressing for dipping sauce. Both bartenders were awesome, very good with customer service and had each others back just in case one got too busy running orders or assisting food deliveries. Jordyn the bartender was super friendly and very accommodating. Jordyn made sure my food and drink order were accurate and was good at following up to make sure all of her customers were satisfied. I will definitely be back for a longer visit and write a review of the restaurant area. So far, this Village Pub location gets a BIG thumbs up from me! read more
