    Raspberry lemon drop
    Danielle M.

I've been visiting J Marks for years, but it had been a while since I'd had an entree. My friends and I usually hit up the second happy hour that starts later in the evening. The restaurant was still decorated beautifully for Christmas, but it looked so beautiful that I was sad to know it would soon get taken down. I do really like the ambiance here--contemporary, comfortable, and not too bright. The restaurant was busy and had a wait, but we had no problem snagging a nice booth in the bar area. If you're looking to chat with your pals, enjoy your drinks, and not feel rushed, look for a table by the bar. We were warmly greeted by our server, Marissa. She was hilarious, fun to chat with, and very attentive. She truly made our evening so special that we hope to have her as our server next time! She ensured we were set with drinks (ask her about the amazing raspberry lemon drops!) and was very helpful with my friend's food allergy. Our food came out timely. I enjoyed my shrimp scampi with pasta. The shrimps were well seasoned and size-able. The pasta was a great portion, too, and cooked al dente. I'm so glad J Marks is in our neighborhood. You can always count on it for a solid meal and happy hour. (Their regular seasonal drink menu is pretty killer as well.)

I added on the crab cake which is of insane quality, big lump pieces, it's actually hard to find breading.

6/1/26-5:45pm- I wish I could give 10 Stars for incredible service, food and ambiance!…read more Great location with lots of parking options. Yes you need to pay but it's much less than LBTS and many other restaurant locations! There is both inside and outside seating most of the outside seating is under cover from the elements. My first time here and I chose an outdoor high top ( not under cover). It was partly cloudy and I was certain no rain on the way. I was wrong and just as I took one bite of my eggplant meatballs- pouring rain! Two of the servers- John was one and I don't know the other young man's name - they came so quickly and picked up all my things to minimize us getting wet! They were like Superheroes! I appreciated their quick response. Also assuring they were making a fresh appetizer for me. I moved to the outside bar ( completely under cover) and Todd took great care of me! I'm a fan for life! Great customer care and incredibly professional! Now to the absolutely delicious food!!! The happy hour is fabulous with great options! The main menu has something for everyone! I chose to order off the main menu. I ordered the Eggplant Meatballs.. wow!!!! Please refer to my pictures.. a very large portion of 5 meatballs! Unbelievably delicious! So much flavor and easily shareable! I did see a few of their flatbreads and burgers and they are my new choice! Both looked delicious!! My family owned restaurants in Manhattan and I am culinary trained/a former Director of Catering and Sales for Ritz-Carlton .. I can easily say Their attention to detail, customer care and the quality of their food is outstanding! I am in the process of moving back to Ft Lauderdale from Palm Beach and I can't wait to add The Foundry to my dining rotation! Thank you for exceeding my expectations!

Despite it being super dead, our server (who my mom pointed out has worked here for forever) was acting like he had 50 tables. It took forever to get him to come over and order anything from him, he was a mess. Other than the terrible service, the food was pretty good. Nothing to run home about but it wasn't bad. Everything was hot and came out relatively quickly and was made correctly. There was some sand in my clams, but I feel like that happens often when eating shellfish so I won't hold it against them. The seats are also super comfy and I like how they have 2 bars and both indoor and outdoor seating.

The food is consistently well prepared and well-presented.My personal favorite is the Walnut Shrimp, but this time I tried the Fish & Chips and they were fantastic. Fast forward to today, and it's a completely different story. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The steaks were massive, juicy, and cooked to perfection, easily some of the best I've had anywhere, and I've paid top dollar at high-end steakhouses. The Hawaiian ribeye, in particular, was incredible, tender & juicy. The wings were huge and packed with flavor, honestly some of the best wings I could ask for. They've also stepped up their starters. The new bread with honey butter is insanely good, and the avocado eggrolls with tamarind sauce are absolutely next level. I added on the crab cake which is of insane quality, big lump pieces, it's actually hard to find breading. Service was just as impressive, attentive, smooth, and genuinely welcoming. I even had the chance to speak with the manager, Dani, who explained they made a major shift away from distributors that were hurting their quality. They went back to basics, focused on what made them great in the first place, and it shows in every bite. This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time, across any cuisine. J. Mark's is back, and better than ever.

Gigi was super helpful in giving us insight on customer favorites! We tried the caesar salad (you have to cut it yourself but don't worry it's SO GOOD), truffle fries, spare rib tips, ropa vieja poutine, and ropa vieja (entree). While everything was incredibly tasteful, the ropa vieja poutine was by far my favorite. They also have so many signature cocktails to choose from, and on Thursdays, they offer a ladies night special with $8 mini select martinis. We will definitely be visiting Twice Removed next time we are back in Fort Lauderdale.

Parking was conveniently located right in front of the restaurant, making it an easy stop. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the window and immediately appreciated the intimate and charming atmosphere. The restaurant also features a bar and televisions, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

Lauderdale and drove over here since we were in the area. Their fish tacos were one of their popular dishes so I opted for that and my husband got chicken cordon bleu. We also got the trout dip with pita bread but I didn't get a picture of that because we were all starving and then dessert was key lime pie and pistachio gelato. I did not expect the tacos to be so big. I also got this place mixed up with another place called the beach house so I was looking at the completely wrong menu! I took a pic for anyone looking and didn't feel like clicking 4x to get to it on their website. Back to the tacos -- the slaw was very juicy so don't forget to place your napkin! The mango salsa was not too sweet to overpower the rest of the taco and the beans and rice -- we were told was cooked in beef broth so it was very flavorful! It was way too much food to eat in one sitting (although I somehow managed to down 7/8 of that gelato it's a stomach mystery! And I don't like keylime pie so I didn't try it but the crust looked AMAZING! See ya in March! We're coming for you, patio! *side note: even though it was 94 degrees outside, they had a ton of fans blowing indoors and I was really cold. Goosebumps cold. My husband went to get my hoodie from the car and it's valet parking so he made a trek!
