Tuna, avocado roll & crunchy shrimp roll.

Went for dinner. I guess it's mostly a take out place 4 or 5 tables inside. It is very clean, no frills, no alcohol but if you're looking for some very fresh, very good sushi, give it a try. You order at the counter & they bring the food out. Service was very friendly & personable. We had seaweed salad, this was freshest I have had. Also had crunchy shrimp roll & avocado & more avocado with imitation crab. Ordered tuna sashimi it was very fresh. They have sodas & water for drinks. If I'm back in Nashville will go back

This is the best sushi I have had in nashville. Their vegetarian options are top notch and have so much flavor it's insane. It's a quiet spot and my husband and I are often the only people in the restaurant but the lady behind the counter is the most upbeat, sweetest person. I've never seen her with a frown. Seriously, please eat here. Don't let this be another local place and falls through the cracks of gentrification

The food was awesome but the wait time for dining in was a bit too much. Next time I go I think I'll just order for pickup unfortunately. However sushi was really good and they are definitely popular

Nice, clean, simple format with dine-in options or take out. Place order and pickup at counter

We had checked-in at a hotel not quite a mile away for our first visit through Nashville. At first the spouse was thinking of having dim sum except the restaurants we found online showed most dishes had gluten which is a No for us due to his allergies. Knowing he really likes sushi, we surprisingly found one and that it was real close by so we decided to walk there (lack of sidewalks but definitely doable). The entire place looks new. In fact, the counters, tables, and chairs seemed brand new. The woman greeted us and handed us two menus. She was really good and honest in her responses regarding the ingredients in their sushi sauce and others as some had soy sauce that contains gluten. It was because of that, we chose these two sushi rolls. They even provided gluten free tamari sauce and delivered the two rolls to our table. Fish was fresh, the wasabi and ginger were fresh too. It was a Thursday evening and there were no one else eating there. Hopefully with the apartments or condos that are being built across the street will result with busier nights as they deserve it.

I noticed it's been 5 years since I reviewed this place! This restaurant has always been my favorite sushi place since I discovered it. It has gone through a few updates since it first opened but sushi still amazing and #1 in my book. Always fresh and big portions. The decor has definitely gone through some upgrades as my pictures show. The tables now have this cute little pockets for the forks, chopsticks, soy sauce and napkins. They switched from reusable silverware to plastic disposable utensils. They also serve their soup on the to-go containers. I kind of not like it because it take the feelings of seating down and eat at the restaurant. They do put the sushi on a tray. They added a few extra items to their menu as well and the miso soup still boiling hot when serve. Watch out.

This may look unassuming and concerning given the small strip mall location, but it is anything but! The food was great and service was excellent! The two people working were all smiles while they took and prepared our dine-in order and the multiple take-out orders. The restroom was clean but it is a single stall. I assume they do mostly to-go orders as the dining area is small, but that did not hinder the whole experience! I highly recommend this place!

Sooo good! It was our first time here and we were on the hunt for good, fresh sushi. Dear sushi did not disappoint! We had a California roll and spicy shrimp which were both so good. Even the wasabi was better then normal and super fluffy! We ate in and it's not a standard sit down restaurant, you order at the counter and sit at one of the tables. It was quick too! Seemed very clean. The menu had everything we wanted but not as much variety as if you were to go to another restaurant with a full kitchen. Staff was so nice.

My friend and I came here because Sushi Thai was closed and we were not disappointed! My favorite was the shrimp dumplings!! They're amazing! I also tried the rainbow roll raw and the chef special raw which comes with the dynamite roll and 4 pieces of Nigiri. The sushi was good, but it wasn't great. It seemed a little bland to us and we were still hungry after which was a bit of a bummer. Overall though, we received great service and the prices can't be beat so even if only for the shrimp dumplings I would likely return.

This sushi spot is a 10/10! Super clean space, incredibly friendly and pleasant staff, reasonably priced sushi, beautiful presentation, and delicious! We got the veggie rolls, veggie spring roll, and California roll! Would absolutely come back next time in town!

Very nice sushi spot! Great choice for combos on sushi and sashimi. The service is what stuck out at this place. The staff are very jolly and joyful. Made the experience better and the sushi tables are setup nice with sauce and everything you need already at the table.

I am new sushi eater, and was so happy the had soy paper since I do not like seaweed. The lady was so pleasant to talk to and ordering was easy. It was so good! I had the shrimp dumplings, Tempura Shrimp roll and the Crispy Crab Roll. It is close enough to work to get there, eat and get back in an hour. It doesn't look like much but it is clean and the food is amazing!

The food here is so good .

We started off with a round of champagne and a bottle of red wine for dinner. We tried a variety of dishes since we were told that the set up is family style: Hamachi Crudo: 10/10 one of the best I've ever had! Super fresh and the sauce paired well with it. Bluefin Tune Crudo: 8/10 It was really fresh and well prepared, but I've had better elsewhere. I typically prefer bluefin tuna sashimi or nigiri anyway. Tuna Crispy Rice: 9/10 This was such a fun and delicious way to eat spicy tuna! All of the seasonings made it packed full of flavor. Tomahawk Ribeye 9/10: This was insanely tender, and well seasoned. Tip: ask for lemon wedges to sprinkle some lemon juice on it--thank me later. Broccolini 8/10: well prepared, and I loved the lemongrass garlic chili that topped it East Side Shrimp 7/10: These were well cooked and well seasoned. Loved the salad placed underneath it. Wagyu Tartare 8/10: It was well prepared and loved that it's paired with nori and rice. Wished it had a bit more punch to it in terms of seasoning. Crab Fried Rice 8/10: this was delicious but still say it's a solid 8. Beautifully prepared! Korean Hot Wings 2.5/10: I could tell that it was well cooked, but it was insanely salty; it was practically inedible. Hurricane Fries 9/10: These were so delicious! You are immediately hit with the smell of truffle, which made my mouth water. Packed with flavor! Brussels 7/10: These were well roasted, but the sauce was a tad too sweet for my liking. I highly recommend trying this place out!

Adapted to fit high paced lifestyle of New York nights, it takes the idea of meticulous preparation and condenses it into a rapid experience that cuts the line between an omakase and a classic sushi dinner. At the same time, it's entertaining, sexy and fun. Sure, the time constraints will not generate the best tasting sushi ever, but it will be hard to leave disappointed for the price paid. The speakeasy-like vibe is a sharp contrast to any formal omakase experience and the founders managed to create this price point by finding unused storage spaces or other cheap backrooms that could be turned into this concept. Thus, a brilliant way to cut costs and allow the customer to get a better deal. One area where the establishment should do a bit better is the staff, in particular those greeting and getting guests sat. There needs to be polish and organization, instead of cold interactions that one might expect at a Chinese buffet. It was a bit sporadic getting that figured out and did not feel welcoming at all. Despite that, the sushi tasting set was excellent and the time constant allows guests to plan out the rest of the night without making the meal the only thing. In other words, pretty cool.

I opted for the Shibuyu Nights, which had a slight coffee note on top of the whisky and bourbon. At the prescribed time, you are led into the omekase and the experience begins. Cue fanfare music now. I figured if I was going to try, it needed to be at a place that knew what they were doing. James our sushi chef, definitely knew what he was doing.
