The young lady behind the counter was so kind and polite. She makes great food and drinks and she is also knowledgeable. This place was almost an hour drive for me, but I would go back just for the amazing food and even more amazing service. I only paid $10 for a Frappuccino and dessert. The decor is so cute. The ambiance is beautiful!! I loved the colors, it smelled delicious and it was very hard for me to decided what I wanted to choose. Since I have a lot of allergies () I have to be careful so I had to ask to about the ingredients. The young lady that waited on me was very sweet, she answered my questions and she even offered to read the ingredients so I would feel safe. I really appreciated that!! It's has potential to be a nice atmosphere and a refreshing new experience in McDonough but it falls short. The tropical mimosa was great but everything else we had was just ok and I feel little overpriced. Im ok paying a premium for an experience but there is an opportunity to do things a little better. My wife had to eat her waffle with a spoon since there were not any forks available. It did come in a nice box though. My breakfast croissants came in a Hefty container and was just ok. Ok so I came here to attend an event...but this cozy place is a real gem! Parking was a bit of a challenge I ended up parking in the shopping lot area because the parking spaces are really tight. I walked back up to the location and upon entering I felt very uncomfortable and it's very welcoming. I got their bacon, egg, and cheese croissant with a slice of cheesecake (caramel). It was so good I ordered a slice of cheesecake to go along with a caramel frappe! Yes you read right! Desserts and coffee!! I will definitely be visiting them again that frappe was delicious!!! Interesting spot, could be better. The decoration was cute and the inside was cozy. I liked the different cups available, they had some cute stuff. The one employee was very nice but she wasn't taking orders or making things, just cleaning I think. The other employee was younger and not super friendly. I asked if they had iced coffee, since it was later in the day and I know some places run out (it was on the menu). The employee said yes. I asked if it was premade iced or hot poured over ice (because I've gotten this SO many times and I hate it) and she said they only had hot poured over ice, so I obviously didn't get that. I asked for a small hot mocha latte instead. She seemed really unsure if they had mocha or not but eventually decided she could give it to me. I also ordered a lemon poppy seed cheesecake slice. The latte was $6 and the cheesecake was $8 The drink took a VERY long time to make and was given to me in a styrofoam cup with a plastic lid. The lid did not fit the cup as it had no lip. The lid technically stayed on but just barely. It was a decent tasting drink, very rich (a layer of chocolate on the bottom) but it barely had any foam, just hot milk. The cheesecake was unfortunately not good at all. It tasted like lemon salt water taffy that you'd get at the shore. The texture wasn't my favorite, and I didn't finish it. There was also a piece of chocolate cake with peanut butter icing in the bag for free. It was okay. The cake was a little dry, and the brownie decorations on top were clearly store bought. Again, it was free so I won't judge it too harshly, but wasn't my favorite. It's possible I just got all the wrong things from here, and I wouldn't be against stoping in again but I won't be rushing back. read more

It's place is beautifully decorated, however, the cake was old! I bought the lemon and carrot cake and they were at least 4 days old...if not older. As soon as I opened the container; I knew they weren't fresh because they had that "wet" look when cake is going bad. Or it could be they were sitting in hot containers, in a warm environment and not in the refrigerator. Fresh baked is how I eat cakes, not a fan of store bought. I was disappointed. Our first visit and the place is small but decorated very nice. We visited late in the day so maybe that's why the young lady helping us was not very welcoming, maybe she was just tired. This bakery has a chill vibe that reminds you of a speak easy. The server was kind and gave customer service that was above and beyond. We tried a few things such as the breakfast sandwich, chocolate cake, cheesecake and a house blend coffee. The food reached the bar and was nothing short of what we expected. When you drive down the 218 exit make sure you give "Decadent A coffee and dessert bar" a stop by and try at least one thing. My niece and I decided to try this business based off the cute esthetic we saw in pictures. We arrived around noon and the business was closed. All listings we found state that they are open 11:00am to 6:00 pm on Sundays. Their door has the same hours listed. We were rather disappointed and won't likely try for another visit. read more

This is a really cute coffee and a dessert spot. The customer service is really great. However I do have one critique. The serving sizes are child size portions and the cost is way too expensive for that. If the owners look at this I would like for them to give more consideration to what people are paying versus what they're getting. I will still give this establishment a 5 star because it is a black business that has wonderful customer service. They seem to really want to do great however, I do believe that they need to do better in reference to their portion size. They are charging way too much money for 3 bites of cheesecake. Took my mom by today for a Mother's Day treat, but ended up being disappointed that we didn't choose another spot. Upon walking in we noticed that the decor is very cute and different from anywhere else in McDonough, but the worker behind the counter was very quiet, dreary, and acted almost as if she had hoping no one would come in today. While trying to decide what we were going to order, we noticed there was almost nothing in the case and what was there did not look fresh. We asked about a couple of items that were on the menu and were told "we don't have that" "we don't really carry that to be honest" "we should probably update our menu" etc... We ended up ordering the cookie skillet and asked for it Togo after realizing how hot and quiet it was in the store - not a good vibe despite the cute look. I will say, the cookie skillet was delicious and that is where the 2 stars in my review are coming from. I ordered a hot coffee that was only filled halfway, was lukewarm, and had an inappropriate lid. Such a disappointment! Before arriving I looked at Decadent's website. It looked very inviting and I loved seeing all the types of cakes and goodies on display. The reality was that Decadent had all their cakes sliced and displayed in stacks of plastic containers. Very unappealing! I chose a slice of Wedding Cake. There were two containers left and the one I was give was turned on its side and was missing half of the icing on the top. The slice was about $9.00. The cake was moist but totally flavorless. The skimpy icing also had no flavor-definitely no almond flavoring. I asked the clerk to exchange the slice and explained the reason. I chose a slice of carrot cake. It certainly was better than the Wedding Cake slice but had a slightly bitter taste in the cake. My sister had a cannoli. She said the pastry was stale. Very very disappointing!!! read more
