We did a little consultation first where I showed my inspo photo of a red French tip almond shape and she recommended hybrid gel. She did an amazing job, checked with me at each juncture about nail length, shape, and the colors selected so that I had every opportunity to change something if needed- which I so appreciate! Came here today for the first time and it was nice. All the ladies working were SO friendly and welcoming. My nail tech was so kind and took her time, which I appreciate, as these nails are for my bridal portraits. Nice color selection too, and complimentary beverages. One con- it's a bit pricier compared to other shops in Charlotte. I guess it's about average for the area of Charlotte it's in, but it was $65 (including tip) for a full set w/ gel and small rhinestones. I don't mind paying a little more if the quality is good, though. Overall, nice experience and I will probably return! read more

This is a cute little nail salon on the upstairs level of the shopping plaza. I almost missed the door, and when I opened it, I thought I was entering from the side! The pedicure chairs start pretty much at the window, and the desk is about halfway inside of the salon. Color selection was solid and price is very reasonable. For refrehsments, they offer water, red wine, and white wine. But you can also bring in your own coffee or tea if you'd prefer. The salon decor is not grandiose or opulent, but overall the interior is clean and organized. They offer sales on mani travel kits and nail polishes. The massage on the chair was strong and you could customize it. My nail techs were friendly and always made sure to confirm my comfort level with water temp, nail shape, color selection, and more. I came here last Wednesday for a manicure. I received service from Sue Lee. She is amazing! Disclaimer: I have (legit) OCD and appreciate a nail tech that possesses a strong attention to detail, even if they may take longer. Sue Lee definitely possesses this characteristic. She took her time and made sure each nail was perfectly shaped and the cuticles were super clean. Everything she did, down to the polish application, was precise and flawless. I just got spoiled rotten at this salon so I'm going to tell everyone to go! By far one of the best mani/pedis I have ever had. Idk if they knew it was my first time and were trying to impress me, but it worked. I got a gel mani and a deluxe pedicure and I am beyond happy with it. I love when they work on both my hands and feet at the same time (makes me feel like a real rich betch) and that's what I got along with my white wine. I got extra long massages and rubbin's to make my skin smooth. My cuticles were also a MESS because I bite them all the time and like magic, she made them look amazing. The only thing that bothered me was the scrub made me itchy and stung, but that's because I got extra scrubbins and my skin is super sensitive. If the gel doesn't last, I'll update my review. Located upstairs in the park terrace center. The deluxe pedi with manicure is 45.00 and they do a really great massage and foot mask. My French tip gel manicure looks excellent and they were so sweet. Very clean with the tools and nice new massaging chairs with pretty glass bowls for you tootsies. My sister and I both got full sets and the ladies did an excellent job taking care of us. They turned out beautiful and exactly how we wanted them! However even with gel polish on the full set the polish still chipped within a week so I changed my review to 5 to 3 stars. Still a good experience but wish the design lasted longer. My sister had to get a color change from another salon within 6 days. Also gave my dad a pedicure and men's manicure that looks great and a nice break for his hard working hands and feet! For me, getting nails done is a luxury. I had one nail break within a week of getting my nails done! Very frustrating! Equally as frustrating was the fact that the back of the nail closest to the cuticle begin to lift up at about the same time. This is only my fourth time with powder/DIPPING/SNS nails, and my first time at this place. The three other times were at the same place - Q nails on Park Road. The back of the nail only began to lift up at about 3 1/2 weeks. I am now forced to get my nails done much sooner than I intended. I will not return here. read more

The first time I went here my gel manicure chipped the same day. I went back the next day and they gladly fixed it. They stated that there is a difference in polish brands in terms of how they set on the nail and that may be why it started to peel from the sides. That did not seem like a solid reason to me but I just went with it. I did not go back for a few months until yesterday. I really wanted to give it another shot because it's only a few blocks from home (very convenient to the South Park area). However, a few hours after getting my gel French mani it chipped!!! One, two, three strikes you're out...at Décor Nails & Spa. I really wanted to like this place. They're conveniently located to where I live and I think the women that work there are very nice, so believe me when I say that I wish I could give them another try. Unfortunately, they screwed up in three ways that I just can't overlook: 1. The day I got my pedicure, I wore a very uncomfortable pair of shoes to work and had a blister on one of my toes as a result. I didn't think much of it, because I've gone for pedicures with similar blisters on my toes before and have found that most pedicurists are quite careful to not irritate them. So imagine my surprise - nay, SHOCK - when I'm wrenched from what had been a very relaxing pedicure (up until that point) by the pedicurist puncturing my blister and ripping off the skin!! My eyes flew open to find her sheepishly grinning at me - I think I was just so shocked by what had happened that I was literally speechless / disbelieving, so did not say anything to her, but really wish that I would have (although at the point, the damage is done, eh?). Completely unpardonable behavior in my opinion. 2. Related to #1, they have this ghastly wax treatment during the pedicure that I literally cannot imagine anyone actually enjoying. The girl next to me (smartly) requested they skip it; I was foolish enough to get suckered into, which I think was a mistake by the pedicurist, knowing that I had a blister (this was pre-blister rip-off), as it made my blister feel like it was on fire. She should have known better. Anyway, being that this treatment can be skipped, I wouldn't hesitate to try this place again if this were the only crime they had committed, but in light of strike #1, I fear it's merely another indicator of negligent behavior. 3. To cap off the experience, my gel manicure lasted barely a week and a half, and my pedicure started chipping THE NEXT DAY. I really can't suffer a gel manicure that doesn't last at LEAST 2 weeks (it was bubbling after 1 week); I'm guessing it was the application, which I wasn't loving as she was doing it. As for my pedicure, it was Essie polish, so I don't think that was the issue as I've always had great success with Essie polishes; upon further investigation of the pedicure, I have the sneaking suspicion that she didn't use a top coat. Don't ask me how I didn't notice that she wasn't putting it on at the time (maybe I was still in shock), but whatever the case, I was really disappointed by the longevity of both the manicure and pedicure. I'm completely willing to accept that my experience here may have been an anomaly; they're obviously well-reviewed by and large, so perhaps my mani/pedi can be chalked up to a series of unfortunate events. That being said, you can understand why I'll probably go ahead and try out every single other nail salon in Charlotte before trying this place again. read more

Greeted at the door. Then the lady complained that because I had gotten my nails done somewhere else and it would take longer to get the gel polish off. My suggestion which is well known to manicurists was to put my hands inside of the heated jibere hand mitts. She had an attitude about that but did it. Another lady did my nails. This is my favorite place to get a pedicure. It's near my home, which is a bonus, but what I look for most is cleanliness, friendliness of the staff, and a good leg massage :) It is very clean. The staff is super friendly. I've had real conversations with them. And this is the best leg massage I've had with a pedicure. I get the deluxe (middle) pedicure and it extends the massage time, so I'm not sure how the 'standard' pedicure would rank. I did get the hot stone pedicure once and it was awesome with an even longer massage. It does get busy on the weekends so get there early or call ahead. It's probably not the best place for a big group but for me it's by far the best place to get a pedicure. read more

They take their time and talk with you and make sure your stay is comfortable and great! They offer a variety of drinks to you as well. If the paraffin wax isn't enough already. Yes, Paraffin wax comes with your regular pedicure! Now that I live here again I'll be coming back much more!! Best gel manicure in Charlotte! The technicians always pay close attention to the cuticle and nail shape, instead of just cutting corners for the sake of time. The pedicure comes with the wax foot dip which makes it 10 times better. Beverages are provided and they have a sea salt scrub that feels great on your hands. It's just the little things they do for their customers that make such a difference, you know? The only issue I can think of is how busy and crowded it stays, but I guess that's because they're a great salon and everyone knows it. read more

I wouldn't say the nail salon is anything special. The staff was all very welcoming and polite! They offered me a drink and were able to start right away. They did lose power while I was there, which wasn't their fault, but slightly inconvenient. My biggest complaint is the quality. I had the powder manicure, which usually lasts 3-4 weeks easily and I have to have somebody remove them. Mine lasted 10 days and then started to completely fall off my nails. They're also getting stuck in my hair, which is usually a problem I only have with gel. I'm not sure if finishing my nails in the dark due to power affected the quality. But I wouldn't return. Those manicures are too expensive to only last 10 days. read more
