First time in DCL and we wanted a dinner that was light and enjoyable. Thanks to Yelp I was able to survey the local food scene and this was one of the ones that I tagged. Well we are glad I did, first the location is a little off the main road but up atop a small rise. Outside tables and inside greet you at this great little restaurant. We had Calamari appetizer that was lightly breaded and served with sweet chili dipping sauce very good. Then main courses included Crab cake sandwich NO filler most crab, fish and onion rings (yep), cod sandwich and seared ahi tuna (seasoned with old Bay and Blackened seasoning). All members throughly enjoyed dinner and would go back. So if you are looking for a seafood restaurant in DCL here you go. Sorry no pictures as we were really hungry and ate the food immediately. Found this hidden Gem while spending a few days here. Seems very local and everyone knew everyone and treated you that way even if they didn't. Everything was delicious. There was only outdoor seating d/t covid but they make the best of it with patio heaters and outdoor fire pits. Highly recommend. While the location was exactly what we wanted for our last night in Deep Creek (casual, deck view of the lake) the kitchen had a terrible night. We waited over an hour for food. When it did arrive (appetizers and dinner at the same time) Our soft pretzels with crab dip came out burnt- and when we sent it back our server gave us a bit of an attitude-, the crab cake sandwiches we're extremely overcooked. Our other guests indicated the calamari and hush puppies were good. We will not make this a stop during our next vacation on the lake. read more

What a wonderful little discovery on our vacation. Food was delicious, although out of all the dishes surprisingly the tacos I ordered were my least favorite. But calamari was wonderful, fish and chips was addicting! Would certainly recommend it. We took a tour of their beautiful garden as well. Spent a long weekend at Deep Creek Lake and came to this restaurant after doing some Yelp research. This restaurant is kind of tucked up on a hill. We walked in and were seated immediately. The restaurant is very cute with a large fireplace in the middle of the room. It's a relatively small restaurant and feels very intimate. They have different types of house wine for $4.50 a glass, can't beat that! I ordered snow crab legs and it came with a side of potato salad. My only qualm with my food was that I felt like the snow crab legs were a little overlooked because the shell was soggy. It's kind of disappointing when you don't get that satisfying crack of the leg! The meat itself tasted great though, and they definitely don't skip on the portions. All in all, a solid dinner. Stopped in a Friday night. This place was PACKED. It's very low key - nothing fancy. Good seafood. My partner loves the crab cakes. I really enjoy the fish of the fish and chips but the french fries weren't my favorite. The beer situation was kind of weird. We sat on the patio and when I asked my server what they had to drink she told me just to lean over the cash register inside to see. It was just cans/bottles in a mini-fridge and hard to read some of the labels. Overall, I'd go back. read more

The seafood was delicious! I had the crab cake appetizer and a side Caesar salad. The crab cake was obviously made from fresh crab meat. My husband loved his bowl of crab soup for a starter, and enjoyed their fish and chips as an entree. The 3 beer battered fillets were ample size and crispy. Patience is required as they are a bit understaffed like many businesses after Covid. We are warned upon entry about this situation but chose to stay. Most importantly the food was good (4.5 stars). The crab legs and fish and chips were greatly enjoyed by members of our group. I had the seared ahi tuna which was tasty, but over-seasoned. The seaweed salad with it was sweet and cut the saltiness of the tuna. Our group also had crab cake sandwiches, the calamari appetizer, the pretzel with shrimp dip, and the shrimp. The pretzel appetizer was my favorite dish. 5 stars for that. (Also beer was $3- that's great!) Our waiter (who may have been the manager or owner?) was super friendly and trying hard to impress (unfortunately to a fault because the service wasn't exceptional). Nice guy, but had a few fumbles with our large group. Forgivable, sure. The place itself must get super busy in the summer for lunches or weekend dinners. It's VERY casual. I was craving seafood and ended up in one of the few seafood restaurants in deep creek. My experience here was mediocre in regards to the food. The seafood is not fresh, it seemed as though it may had been frozen and thawed. I didn't particularly like or hate anything. I spent about $70 for 2 people on food only which felt high for the food quality that I received. The serve overall was poor. Wife and I went there 13 July 2023 first one's there. Wife ordered fish and chips and I ordered seafood plater and cup of gumbo soup. Broth in the soup was good but nothing else was. Wife took one bite of the fish and bland with no taste and the fries where the shoe string fries but too well done to eat. I had the fish which I agreed with my wife, the shrimp was so hard I couldn't eat them (Like chewing gum) and there were two scallops that when I cut them the water squirted out. We left everything there, paid the $70 bill and left. Never again and I do not recommend this place to any one plus there add is not correct; they show a lot of dishes that they do not carry. read more

Let me start by saying, we didn't get a chance to try their food. This rating is solely based on service and a ridiculous policy. First, we tried calling for a takeout order, and they were not answering their phone. Tried multiple times, and finally got a recording that said they were not accepting phone calls. So, my wife and I decided to take a drive there, and order takeout. When we told the hostess about the phones, she was completely clueless and had no idea why they didn't answer. Anyway, we proceeded to place an order for takeout, and when they gave us the total, it didn't equal the menu prices, as it was more expensive. When we questioned this, we were told there was a $10 charge for not dining in. This is one of the dumbest things I've ever encountered, at any restaurant. It's especially ridiculous seeing that we are still in a pandemic. Needless to say, we'll never consider this place in the future. read more

A little hidden gem behind the Deep Creek movie theatre. (There's a movie theatre in Deep Creek? Yup!) This is delicious seafood served by a friendly staff and attentive owner in the most casual of settings. You can literally walk off an all day boating adventure and right into this place... nothing fancy or formal going on here. We were in DC for 3 nights and this was our best meal. Appetizers and entrees alike were perfectly prepared and the portions were ample. Two of us got the snow crab dinner for $30 and it was a BIG serving of crab, well worth the cost. Dessert was a fun surprise... a fat, chunky homemade ice cream sandwich that cut into four pieces made a perfect sweet ending to a great dinner. (And I should note that this was the ONLY server during our 3 night stay who offered us dessert before bringing our check. Why do servers in DC not want you to have dessert? Do they not know people tip a percentage of the check total and dessert adds to that total? Oh... and PEOPLE GENERALLY LIKE DESSERT! Rant over.) For those who are Covid-concerned, dining is outdoors only, tables are distanced, servers wear masks. The team is working to keep you safe. Or, you can take out. We would 100% go back. I'm on vacation and haven't really cared to review anything this weekend but after coming here, I couldn't help but give a rave review. Living in Pittsburgh, there's not a lot of places to go for genuinely good seafood without costing a lot, or you can go to Joe's Crab Shack and get "okay" waaaaay over priced for the small amount you get. But this place was extremely worth it. It was about $65 for calamari, 2 lobster bisques, and two entrees (fish and chips & over a pound of crab legs). Large fresh portions, great service! Only downside is that it's not on the lake but truly, the food makes up for it. Will be back again! read more

My family got take out here this past summer during Covid. This was our first trip to Deepcreek and if we return we would definitely go to Deepcreek seafood. Calimari app was delicious. Not too much dressing and the peppers were a nice touch. The crab legs were super tender and flavorful. You did not need butter at all. My mom loved the crabcakes while my dad enjoyed the fish and chips. Everything was hot and fresh tasting. The price was not bad either. Plus they are a Steelers family. Went here last night for dinner. We're in from Philly for the weekend and wanted to try this place. Very low key, casual ambiance, pretty full bar. Did you ever go somewhere and they exceeded your expectations by light years? This was it. Our host Nate was also a sommelier in a previous life, and he offered my wife a half glass of each of the wines she sampled, because she liked them both. Whaaaaaat?!?! I was floored by this level of customer service. The food was perfect. Crab cakes, mussels (butter, garlic, shallots, white wine), snow crab, lobster bisque, and finally found a place who can give me anchovies on my Caesar. We went in on a Thursday night and there were two other tables there and what seems like only one gentleman working the front of the house. He was very friendly but you could tell was very busy as it took five or 10 minutes for him to even come over for our drink order. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was delicious, much different than any I've ever had before with a sweet Thai sauce and vegetables underneath! Very good. A common theme among my reviews is that a waitress heavily influences a dining experience. This is no exception. The waitress was nice enough and I appreciate how they use pitchers to refill drinks, but the refills and checkups for the table came too infrequently and resulted in our drinks being empty throughout the evening. As the anticipation builded during our hour and a half wait for food, I was hoping that the food would be a homerun. Unfortunately, it was more like a foul ball bunt. My "Maple Bourbon Salmon" was completely black on the underside and I was forced to scrape off the remaining ash. The remaining salmon was good but not impressive. Not worth the $28..... I should also mention that the presumed Manager stopped by our table to let us know that the food would be "coming soon". There was no adjustment or apology for the inconvenience. All in all, if you want to get good food for your group in a normal dinner timeframe, go elsewhere. I can say that I will not be coming back. read more

Our last night of our short getaway and I wanted seafood. Many restaurants are closed because of COVID but we found this place for curbside pickup. We enjoyed our stop here. We enjoyed the view, and the food was wonderful. The only drawback here was the service and the false advertisement on Google. The service was incredibly slow. Nice waitresses, but just a mess with what table they each had, who had food and who didn't, and the food coming out was ridiculously slow. They also stated they had over 40 types of bourbon on Google, but when we went to order, they said they had none. We did see some at the bar, but they weren't serving it! It took us almost two hours from start to finish. Like I said, the food was good, but the service was horrible. I know things are rough with the pandemic, but maybe they should try some different things and use their resources better! read more
