So I'm not an avid reviewer but I felt compelled to share my recent experience at this restaurant. 1) Make a reservation, even on a bad weather day (this past Friday evening), the place was busy. We did not wait long at all for our table. 2) The service was phenomenal. Our waiter, Giovanni was phenomenal. He did not constantly bombard us but also did not neglect us. Not sure if he's been at this for a while, but he was the best server we've had in a very long time. 3) the food was delicious. We had the crab cake and conch fritter appetizers as well as a couple of stone crab legs. For dinner, we had the shrimp tacos and the Mahi with spiny lobster meat over jasmine rice (Mahi Thermidor). For dessert, we were sent home with pineapple upside down cake and the carrot cake. Every single item we ate was great. 4) for the type of food that's served, I believe the price was reasonable and portions were decent. So, I do not understand the reviews that speak negatively about the prices. 5) Although the weather was poor, we still sat outside on the covered lanai, they had the screens down to block from wind and rain so we couldn't really see the marina, but on a good weather day, I'd imagine the view is pretty nice and the sunset is probably really nice to watch from here. Overall, we had an amazing date night to celebrate our anniversary. We will 100% be repeat customers and I look forward to bringing our friends and family here when they come to visit. read more

Great spot on the bay They were busy but they sat us right away. The restaurant had a nice view of the bay with a great drink selection. Our waitress was great and I feel terrible I didn't grab her name but she was from Jersey and full of personality. I actually love this place. Many years ago it belonged to the Southwick's. They sold the marina and since then what an amazing transformation. The seafood is fresh. Lunchtime is a great time to see if you like it. Lots of lower cost specials. You can sit on the deck overlooking the marina. You can pull your boat up to go out to eat. We thought the food was very good. Nice size portions. We shared a salad but had to split it ourselves-not a big deal. Caught the end of Happy Hour and enjoyed the $6 house margaritas. The service was also very good considering how busy the restaurant was. The only negative is that the restaurant was so loud it gave me a headache. Good food but hostess/reservations staff leave something to be desired. When we arrived for our 5 pm reservation tonight, the hostess said our reservation was for an outside table. My husband called the restaurant yesterday around 3 pm to make the reservation, the person who answered the phone never asked if he wanted indoor or outdoor table. Hostess was very rude and snooty to us and wouldn't seat us inside. I asked for a manager, who finally seated us inside. If u decide to eat here, be sure to specify inside table if u want it. read more

The negatives outweigh the positives by a hefty margin. Tried it and won't be back. Positives: ample parking. Two fish not found on a lot of menus, hogfish and triple tail. Also a nice view from the veranda. But you can't eat parking and views. Negatives: clam chowder and lobster bisque were salt laden. My chowder had a large clump of what I hope was flour. Fried calamari appetizer was the worst we've had. Overbreaded, greasy, dime-sized rings with a sweet chili sauce and aioli contributed to a soggy mess. Not at all appetizing. The couple we were with asked if they could have a shrimp cocktail. No. The only shrimp available was peel your own we were told. In the display case near the entrance was a large arrangement of perfectly-sized shrimp. When we were leaving someone had placed plastic wrap over it for the following day, I guess. My wife asked for sangria. It also made "the worst" list. Seemingly made from a crappy red wine diluted with water. Two maraschino cherries tossed in the glass made up the fruit. Horrible. Wife's seared tuna salad featured thick slabs of tuna, not well-trimmed since there were white strips embedded throughout the slabs. My hogfish was ok. The place was packed. Hey, if it's working for them, kudos. Not for us. The Phelan Family operates 25 restaurants in SW Florida. All-in-all, the $120 expense, including tip, served as tuition spent in realizing we will never willingly patronize any of their restaurants. read more

We celebrated my sisters birthday tonight at the lovely Deep Lagoon in Osprey. I must say we experienced a 10 out of 10 for ambiance, food and especially service! We ordered perfectly blended cocktails from the Happy Hour menu, a delicious appetizer of crab rangoons and the four of us each had our own dinner which included a salmon, seafood fra diavolo and shrimp scampi. Each dinner was gorgeously plated and absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Dessert was amazing...a huge slice of decadent carrot cake for our birthday girl, complete with a fiery stick of dynamite on top as the candle!!!! Tonight's dinner was wonderful enough...but what made our experience EPIC, was our server Laura Lee. She brought it over-the-top!!!!!! She was the cherry on top! Wow. Holy disappointment. Beautiful view and great service but the food was mediocre at best. We ordered the calamari which was good, a bit too saucy. Entrees were terrible, it was a sin what they did to that fish. Sword Fish Neapolitan and Hogfish with pico and pine nuts. It's the same gross tasteless corn starch laden sauce. The menu said the fish was sautéed it was more like steamed. The mashed potatoes taste like instant mashed, something is seriously off with them. I mentioned to the server my concerns and he confirmed they use corn starch in their chunky, opaque sauce, gross. He said the potatoes were real, I don't know what they did to them but they had the nastiest texture to them. Great place maybe for view and appetizers but save your $ and don't order dinner. read more

A beautiful place, great atmosphere, you walk in and take the elevator to the second floor where you overlook the water. This is an upper scale seafood restaurant. We went there for lunch. Our first time there. I had a T-shirt and gym shorts with tennis shoes, but they let us in, and treated us like gold. as we sat overlooking the water, we split the crab Rangoon it might've been the best I've ever eaten then we had shrimp tacos. What a gem this place is! Came across it while on my outing to Florida post covid. (It was a long two weeks of covid might I add) Bob the waiter was amazing! And from my home state. Great conversationalist & knowledgable about the menu. The food was delicious. Had a couple oysters for an appetizer My friend had the Grouper which I tried - amazing! I had the Sea Bass & it was cooked to absolute perfection. The sea bass was a special with miso glaze on it which I'm normally not a fan of because people tend to overdo it with the glaze. Happy Hour drinks and bar food is really good. My favorite item on the main menu is actually dessert, the Pineapple Upside-down Cake! Place is ran by terrible management. Over heard a manager tell a disgruntled employee "welcome to a right to work state.. the choice is yours". When the kitchen screwed up my steak twice I realized it wasn't on our waitress so I approached the kitchen, after a couple drinks of course lol.. and seems to be full of illegal immagrants that don't speak english. Had a reservation for outdoor dining, when we arrived the hostess seated us inside and told us she could not accommodate what they had initially promised us. Immediately I noticed the stench that permeated the restaurant. Our server was good--but the food not so great. I experienced the most foul oysters I have ever tasted in my life. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted and my husband had a couple bad ones as well. The crab was overcooked & dry. Carrot cake was $20 and was absolutely disgusting, nobody at our table could eat it--way too sweet! I recommend going to Fin's instead. read more
