If I could give this negative stars, I would. My 6 y/o's tooth was loose and was starting go sideways so we asked the dentist to extract. When we came in the receptionist was wonderful. Hygienist was wonderful. Dentist was nice, BUT when it came time to extracting the tooth... TERRIBLE. Only some numbing cream, probably Orajel, was put on his gum, no local anesthesia and within SECONDS the dentist was PULLING OUT THE TOOTH. No time for the numbing cream to do its job. My son was in SHOCK. He felt it ALL. He could not scream, but the tears were running down his face. All the Dr said was " calm down, you're okay you can have some ice cream now" yea ice cream will NOT take the trauma away. He used to LOVE the dentist. This visit changed it all for him........do better Dr. do better. read more

I had been with Deer Valley Dental for over 20 years, and in the early days of Dr. G, Juan & Ruby things were fantastic, But a lot has changed recently for the worse. I came in for a a bridge replacement and mind you I have dual Insurance coverage and in my 20 years with Deer Valley Dental, I have never had to pay out of pocket due to the dual coverage. I was recently harassed by the receptionist indicating that I have to call my insurance to negotiate a better deal and that this is the way things are done these days. They have the same information they have always had on file but are now sending me bills for service. Please stay away from this place, it is not what it once was. read more

Dr. G and her staff have been amazing since I was a young kid. Dr. G and Juan always check in on comfort during their procedures, which to me is very important for patient care. My kids had their first visit to the dentist and Dr. G made it very special for them and took extra effort in making sure they felt comfortable and even allowed them to help her (: . To anyone who is reading my review. Please stay far far away from this dental clinic. Inexperienced dentist and they'll charge you an arm and leg. I went in for an x-ray and check up and 99 dollars from insurance and 119 dollars, just when you thought it was over, guess again, they sent me a bill of 126 dollars. The dentist will tell you, you have this or that problem and need this or that done. They suggested a deep cleaning about 1500 dollars. I only needed regular cleaning. Don't trust me? I've been coming here for YEARS and absolutely love the service with Dr. Guerrero, Juan, Tuva and their other hygienists and receptionists. Every time I get a new job I make sure I get the insurance to continue my service here. Dr. Guerrero has done my root canals, crowns, filing, fillings, and wisdom teeth removal. Her calm nature makes me feel very comfortable, especially when I had to get my wisdom teeth removed. Recently I had some hole/slit in my tooth and freaked out. I called on a Thursday and was able to come in the very next day! They ended up giving me TWO fillings and was super quick! I also love the person Dr. Guerrero is. She is a very warm, God-loving woman who goes on missions often. I am proud to have her as my dentist. read more

My first visit a patient came in and complained about not getting a call back from them he had a emergency. I should of ran then the receptionist was rude she doesn't know what she is doing she made an appointment with I put it in my phone and she denied making the appointment. It took them 2 months to get my new bottom parcel back and they didn't fit. They said I gave them the wrong bite,how do you do that crazy. When I got them back they were cutting into my gums and I went in Friday morning to see if they would take me in for this and they would not it would only take a second. PLEASE BEWEAR!!! This dental office is not equipped to do root canal treatment are a root canal!!! They do not have the proper numbing medication for this type of treatment or procedure. I'm leaving out of there today very disappointed!! I explained at the time of the phone call if she did root canals and what exactly that it is I need. she stated she can do a treatment so it can relieve the pain and I can come back next year for my root canal. Dr. even stated as she was drilling a hole in my new crown she needed to ask the doctor what kind of numbing medication do they use for root canal she also stated she need to refer me out to a specialist. Please run do not waste your time nor your money she was an hour and a half late to even do my treatment on top of that I'm leaving in more pain than I did walking in. I called my insurance company filed a complaint to make sure she was not charge on my insurance company. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE!! If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. Dr. Guerrero has been taking care of my whole family since 1999. She and her whole staff are awesome (especially Juan, who is the best dental assistant ever). When we moved from Antioch in 2010 we tried 2 other dentists in our new town with very very disappointing results. We were spoiled by Dr. Guerrero and didn't realize how lucky we had it. 7/12/19 appointment @ 9:30am No Insurance $518.00 (They do accept insurance) (First Time Here) Soon as I walked in i was greeted by Susie. I let her know what I needed that was a cleaning and teeth whitening. She answered all my information and booked an appointment. (Day Of appointment) I was greeted by Susie. She asked me to fill some paperwork ( it took me less than 3mins ) she was very polite and Helpful. She took my papers and a min later I was greeted by Tuba. She took me back to a room and I sat down. She asked me some questions. She than took my X-Rays ( total of 10 shots ) since I never been seen with them. After she took a look at my mouth and it was determined that I didn't need a deep clean. She started with my cleaning. Took her time. No pain. After my clean we did started on my whitening ( 30 mins $99 ). She ended up putting a movie on and before you know it it was all done. After Dr.Egdon came to take a look at my mouth. Everything was so smooth. Everyone was so polite. They answer all your questions. No funny remarks no ugly face expressions. I would definitely recommend this place. My mouth definitely felt clean and my teeth looked more white. I was out of there by 12. I definitely recommend a day when you are not rushing ( why would you want them to rush anyways lol ) read more

Dr. Guerrero and her team were very accommodating given I was a new patient and was very welcoming during my visit! Everyone was polite and warm and made me feel comfortable. It's very evident that Dr. Guerrero is passionate at what she does, and made sure I am satisfied and happy with the results! Their dental assistants, Juan, Tessa, and Mildred were very efficient and skillful. They're super friendly and do what they do best. Negative stars if I could. I have been a patient there for over 5 years and the last visit I had with them was terrible. They cancelled my appointment without telling me and I took time off work to go down there. The front desk staff was rude. The woman reffered to me as "that girl who cancelled her appointment last week" (i called to reschedule a week before.. not cancel!) to the dentist instead of addressing me by my name. She went into the back, but said it loud enough for me to her the annoyance in her voice. The other girl's cell phone rang "Sexyback" very loudly and instead of muting it while I was there, she interupted our conversation to take the call. They tried to "squeeze me in", but who wants to be rushed through a dental exam? I declined and left the office.... never to return. I must say that the dentists there are good, the front desk staff ruined my interest in ever going back. UPDATE: I found a new dentist and he was really great. I'll yelp about him later. read more

Good afternoon everyone. I just wanted to let everybody to know to please watch out for deer Valley dental. I scheduled an appointment at the end of January I let the person know that if anyone cancels that I would be interested in taking the slot. I can't remember the gentleman's name I believe he is the owner son he was very professional and was willing to help me and go above and beyond which is the complete opposite of the rest of the staff. Mind you when I made my appointment I had to provide all of my insurance information so that way they could run it so that way they can get paid for the services that they were going to provide. I got a phone call a week early stating that there was an appointment available so I rush over and when I arrive I am being told that they cannot verify my insurance for some odd reason. Some time goes by and then all the sudden I'm being called into the back to get seen by the dentist. All of a sudden they do an examination this at another and when they're about to start on the deep cleaning all the sudden they stop and say oh your insurance isn't coming up can you please fix this... As I'm thinking wait so why am I in this chair and why have they started procedures on me already? After sitting in a chair for an hour and getting the runaround from my insurance I hear all of the people in the store speaking in their language which surprisingly I know some of the words and they're sitting there talking about me speaking about how I'm on Covered California and essentially they were making it seem like I was trying to get over on them. So then I go ahead and pay out-of-pocket for what they had done just to go off and find out that they actually did file a claim with my insurance and double dipped and got paid twice once by my insurance and once by me. The reason why I'm leaving this review after waiting a whole month to get my money refunded back to me I am now being told that apparently my insurance is not paying for it even though the claim was filed and taken care of and it shows on my application so the owner refused to refund me my money. And when I told them that if they did not do that I would call my bank and leave a review about what happened they laughed at me and told me to go ahead mind you they laughed at me numerous times prior when I was trying to get my money back completely unprofessional and I'm not understanding why they are acting this way towards me. They were literally treating me as if I was a criminal. So I just want everybody to know that The owner and her husband will not refund me my money even though they filed a claim with my insurance and they had me pay upfront which makes absolutely zero sense to me and when I ask about it they say that that's their policy for first time patients... Excuse me sounds like some crazy practice to me. So if you would like to get mistreated and laughed at I definitely recommend this place but if you would like to be treated like a regular human being please stay clear away. Just so everyone knows my dentist appointment was on February 2 so I've been waiting this long for a refund apparently does anyone else do something wrong with this picture? read more

So my mom went to this dentist to get her teeth pulled and get dentures. Dr Guerrero pulled my mom's teeth and next week started the mold for dentures. We explained to her my mom was going back to New York soon, which prompted her to rush my mom's dentures. When she started the mold we told her that her gums were still swollen. So if the mold was made now it wouldn't fit after the swelling goes down. But she insisted she would make them fit. They came back and were very uncomfortable and didn't fit, like I warned the doc. So we went back several times to get them readjusted and they still never fit. She kept giving us some story about it takes two years to really fit. But after four months, my mom still was unable to wear those dentures. Not even for an hour. She adjusted them one more time and said wait 30 days. If they don't fit, she would get new ones (so she said). But when we went back, she was trying to remold and adjust the same ones again. At that point I demanded my mothers $1200.00 dollars back, but she wanted more time to fix the dentures. Four months is plenty of time, so I managed to get the money back. I think she assumed my mother would leave for New York and she would be done with her . I also had a bad experience when she examined my teeth. She said I would need to replace a crown , plus some other work needed to be done. I informed her I just received that crown two months ago. Why did it need to be replaced? She really didn't have an answer. After that appt, I did not go back and never will. In my opinion, she was trying to get money for work I didn't need. STAY AWAY from this place and look out for your elders. Negative stars if possible. read more
