Great selection of beer on tap and in the beer fridges to purchase.

I have wanted to go here for some time! I know they have great events, loved the relaxed vibe, murals, friendly service, and beer fridges with beer from all kinds of established, emerging, and BIPOC breweries. Had a beer and purchased a six-pack. Sat outside and remarked often about how chill, relaxing, and welcoming Degrees Plato was. If you love beer, chill outdoor space, food (we didn't get any but saw people eating happily), check it out!

    Beers to go!!!

I love this place. It feels very Oakland, community vibes. The people working are mostly pretty friendly. They have a lot of events like comedy nights, live music, trivia. I love their fridge section - you'll catch me picking from their wide variety - drinking and enjoying there, or even taking them to-go. They have a great rewards program- every time you pay, link it to your phone number and your credit card gets associated with your account. You earn points that become discounts! The ambiance is artsy inside with the European artist murals. The outside back patio is a chill vibe especially when it's nice weather or there's live music or both! There's a bunch of tables out there. I like that the drafts change all the time. Always a good selection. And they have food if you get hungry! Street parking is available but sometimes uncertain on MacArthur - find the side streets! Or, there's a parking lot a few steps away by like the car wash on MacArthur. There are TV's playing a security camera feed of the parking lot inside lol. So I guess the parking lot nearby is meant for Degrees Plato patrons! Better yet enjoy the drinks and take the bus or rideshare. There are bus stops right in front or across the street depending on the direction you come from.

Not going to lie, parking alone for me is not worth coming out to this place. The roads in the surrounding area are super rough and bumpy (my poor tires), and the area outside the parking lot is kinda sketch, so I felt safer parking in the restaurant's super cramped parking lot. To be upfront, the food was honestly mid. There's better Mexican food elsewhere in better locations. When I tried to leave the parking lot, if it wasn't for a kind stranger helping guide me get out of there (he said that he had helped others in my scenario in this place), I probably would have hit something or damaged my car. Absolutely not going to come back.

What a cool place! The first thing I noticed was how casual and comfortable it is. You can imagine spending a few hours here just eating something and having a couple of pints. So far, I've been here a couple of times, and the staff taking orders at the bar were friendly and fun to chat with. The beer selection is curated and you'll definitely find something to your liking. On my most recent visit, I got to try Laughing Monk Justice Ruth Double IPA on tap, which I'd previously tried in cans. If you're an IPA fan, this is a great pick! On my first visit I tried the 3-type of tacos, tofu, chicken and beef. I have to say, although all were delicious, if I tried them again, I'd go for the tofu, which surprised me. The way the tofu is seasoned/spiced and cooked is fantastic. On my next visit I was lucky that it was during brunch so I could try the Degrees Chilaquiles. Great choice! What makes the dish is the somewhat pureed beans. This is high level comfort food, trust me! I've no hesitation in recommending this place.

Live music on Wednesday and great beer! What more do you need? Great place to come and grab a beer, hangout and snack on light bites.

So I went here for SF Beer Week and my jaw dropped when I saw 55 taps. They didn't have all 55 taps up but they still offered over 20 beers, wine, non-alcoholic beers, ciders and kombucha. We had a red ale and an IPA and both were great. They had everything from lagers to blonde ales to imperial stouts and sours. My hubby got a torta with chips and salsa and it was tasty. We parked at a meter on the same block. Restrooms were clean. Staff was great! Enjoy I also really appreciated all the thought that went into all the events they did for SF Beer Week. They had the most creativity to me and some great collaborations with breweries I am less familiar with.

Amazing neighborhood bar/restaurant. Rare large outdoor seating in this area which is family and dog friendly. Also has a tent for shade for those sunny days. Love the beer selection and food. Definitely a favorite of ours!

"Friendly people, Rustic Setting, Silver Trailer" When I drove by, I was concerned about a safe place to park my car. To my delight, I discovered they have a secure parking lot as part of the property. In fact, you can keep an eye on your car right while you're enjoying your beer. They have lots of outside tables in a rustic setting. There's a large canopy, so there's plenty of shade. Be sure to check out that huge trailer parked nearby. It's like something out of "I love lucy." I'm pretty sure they're going to have big beer parties in that trailer soon. They have a good menu with both light and bigger dishes. Today, I ordered a light meal, the chicken taquitos. Just what the doctor ordered! Of course, I had to have beer to go with it, and I had two pints of the Czech Lager. So overall a very good visit. One minor nit: Please make sure there is soap in the restrooms. It might seem like a minor thing but it's important, as well as a safety code requirement.

Getting some tacos to-go. Been wanting to come here forever! I'll have to stay and have a drink next time.

First I just ordered food. The guy helping me was so nice. I didn't specify to go until afterward so he literally walked back to the kitchen to tell them it was to go. I watched him. And he had such a great attitude about it. On to the food. I got the 3 tacos, one of each. ‍ the tofu one was my least favorite (shocking not I, since I'm not vegetarian) though the toppings and sauce were fantastic. The chicken was soooooo juicy. The carnitas was a tad bit over cooked. But it was all good. Loved the selection of ciders in the fridge so I bought a 6-pack to take to the A's game. I'll be back and I'll actually enjoy the music and vibes of the bar, which were giving a lil hipster a lil punk but very welcoming.

Good beer selection but too damn loud. I wanted to have a beer and hang out with a friend, but we can't even hear each other talk.

That's Mejor, and I didn't realize that I hadn't posted a review. But yesterday I had a "baby" burrito and today the regular! All of this, and the very reasonable pricing makes this a five star for a well made, clean and friendly local spot. The baby is a deal: small, yes, but really just right for the average quick bite to eat. It had everything I wanted: luscious lengua, beans rice, and salsa. The size really makes it neat and easy to eat. The "regular," is also the same but larger, I had the cabeza, and it had just the right chunks of meat and cartilage.
