I can't complain about service, as both times I went in the employees were nice. Also, the atmosphere is nice and it's a great little place to meet friends or sit alone. My review is on the cost and quality. I don't believe the food or drinks are worth the price. I went here one morning for a coffee. I got a small "peppermint mocha" and paid $4.75ish. That's about the equivalent of a medium specialty coffee at Starbucks! I went a separate day for lunch, even after reading other reviews on Yelp, because I like to try things for myself. I met two of my friends there at 11:30 (before the lunch rush) and we looked at the menu. The photos in the menu looked really good! The soup of the day was Chicken Tortilla and one of my friends and I decided to get that with a sandwich. We went up to order and found out they were out of the "soup of the day"...at 11:30am. Ok. I ordered the turkey with cranberry chutney and Brie cheese sandwich, my friends ordered the chicken salad on baguette and a club sandwich. The food came out and was wrong from the start - my friend's chicken salad came on a croissant instead of baguette. She said she didn't care enough to send it back so she ate it that way. We didn't have pickles with our sandwiches so my friend asked for one. They were out of those, too! My friend's chicken salad sandwich left much to be desired with maybe a 1/2-1 tablespoon of chicken salad on each half of the sandwich. My other friend's club sandwich was just a sandwich with no third slice as advertised. My sandwich also left much to be desired (pictures below). I had a few slices of turkey deli meat with basically jelly and a couple small dabs of cheese. It was very disappointing. All in all, I wouldn't go back here for coffee or food. It's not worth the price and the quality just isn't there. There are other AMAZING lunch options in Old Town Warrenton, so I suggest trying one of those if you're in the area. read more

This past weekend I visited a friend in Warrenton and it's pretty much a tradition to have coffee no matter what else we plan on doing. My friend suggested Deja Brew and what a good choice it was! The decor is pretty simple but with ample seating whether you're working on your laptop or just enjoying a coffee over a gossip session with your girlfriends lol They have a good variety of coffee drinks, hot and cold. The barista was friendly. I ordered a Raspberry Almond Mocha Frap and it was so delicious I wanted to go back for a second one! It was on the expensive side (about $5.20 for a small), however it was worth it. It had just the right amount of raspberry flavor. If I'm ever back in Warrenton, I won't even hesitate before going back! read more

I have tried giving this place the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately this cannot be a coffee shop. They offer lattes but with a catch. The espresso was previously brewed and combined into a pitcher and thrown into the fridge. If that doesn't tell you what you need to know then I don't know what will. I hope they start brewing fresh espresso shots sooner rather than later because I would like to get coffee on main but don't have a place to go to. Fingers crossed! read more

Well it doesn't get much better than this coffee shop for me. I like quirky authenticity, great coffee, and service. I got them all here on a rainy Saturday afternoon. They roast their own beans from several suppliers around the world. The coffee was served in a mug, not a piece of paper or styrofoam. Without asking, the worker behind the counter asked if I'd like my mug freshened up with hot coffee. Wow. I did. It eat food here. Next time! read more

Being a frequenter of cafes all around Virginia, I can't tell anyone how much I appreciate one with a bathroom that has UltraSoft toilet paper. Bowel turbulence is perhaps one of the most overlooked aspects of the cafe experience, I see almost nobody else writing about it. Further, almost all cafes in the area are stocked with nothing but sandpaper for no other reason than to save a few dollars. But not Deja Brew! This was extremely disappointing. Came to support a local place and will not be back to eat. Coffee was great, but the food was horrible. Tried 3 different sandwiches (since they got our order wrong) each one was worse then the next. Dry chicken, cold cheese when it should have been melted and a side salad that had rotten lettuce in it. Ran out of soup so gave 1/4 of a cup of what they had left which was cold and inedible. I had such hopes for a great lunch and just turned out to be extremely disappointing. Staff was great and tried, but didn't seem to care that there were a lot of issues. read more

In the Warrenton area Deja Brew is my favorite place to get coffee! I almost always order the iced hazelnut coffee and add a little bit of cinnamon! I some times order hot tea and I do know they have lots of other drinks to choose from including smoothies, mixed drinks and beer. A nice set up and menu, however the service was subpar. The barista, to begin with, needed to be alerted by a customer that we had walked in and needed service. From that point on we were greeted with an attitude. Was not expecting small talk, but a look other than "kill me now" would have been nice. My friend ordered an iced latte and was limited to regular milk, coconut, or almond milk-fine. But when the latte came out there was not much espresso, leaving her with an iced vanilla milk flavor. My peach tea lemonade, however, was delicious. Will be returning, hopefully with better service and more care put into their coffee drink. read more

Two stars since I didn't actually get to eat here, so maybe the food is decent (?) Everything else pretty much sucks. Horrible customer service, totally disorganized space, loud & outdated. Walked in for lunch, all the menus (coffee, food, drinks) were mixed up and plopped in an out-of-the-way corner. No staff around to help. When I went to order (standing in front of the cashier) a prissy manager rudely ordered me to move, as if I was some lost kindergartener, while the whole reason i was standing there was because of their own disorganization. These guys don't have it together: unclean tables, sticky floors, crumbs everywhere. Above all, really lax "I don't care" attitude from staff. I bailed. Plenty of other independent bakeries, cafes & bars in this part of Warrenton. Go elsewhere. read more

Love this place! A quiet wine / coffee bar on Main Street in historic Warrenton, VA. This place is cozy and offers friendly service and great food. They have an excellent assortment of pasties and muffins that are homemade to go along with any kind of coffee or espresso that you'd like. They do have beer and wine available as well, and a cozy seating area with couches and tables. They do have live music on the weekends and offer a variety of kids programs during the week. I love this cafe! They are located in the Old Town area in Warrenton. The building is historic and very beautiful. The coffee is very good and the staff very kind and well trained. They roast their own coffee and also sell it by the bag. It's nice to stop in grab a coffee and in joy the Old Town atmosphere. read more

Relocating from Arlington to Warrenton, so I have plenty to compare with when it comes to distinct coffee places. Deja Brew (clever name) is a friendly place where the coffee is always fresh and tasty. The staff are friendly and nice. I've almost become a regular and like to camp out doing work there. So I hope I don't jinx it with this review. And I'd offer an even higher score but do not believe in perfection. Deja Brew is the best. The coffee, especially the pour over, is so good and has saved this tired momma many times! The food is great too and they are the only place on Main Street I can find gluten free breakfast! So much thought has been put into this shop. They even have toys for the kids in the back room. We love visiting as a family, on dates and it's a wonderful place for me to work when I need a change of scenery from my home office. 5+ stars for sure read more

This is really a pretty chill place and their espresso is on point: served short and hot. It's relatively quite and a great spot to work. Much better than chain coffee. The feel is casual sort of like a chic cyber cafe. Never had food or lunch but I'm definitely in here whenever I need to study. Staff is cool and friendly and not in a rush--I like that type. And of course, the Warrenton people are classy and great neighbors. They also wine and alcohol, so an Irish coffee or a cafe corretto is always an great change-up. Deja Brew is a great little coffee bar. While I didn' try the food, the descriptions looked pretty good. Since they've recently obtained a liquor license, my wife and I went in and order two 'adult' beverages. I ordered the Bavarian coffee and my wife got the Zombie Iced Tea. The coffee was really good with strong mint and whiskey flavors. I tasted the Zombie tea, and while it was a bit too sweet for my taste, my wife really liked it. Always a great experience when we go here! The food is excellent and the teas are very good. The coffee is pretty tasty too. The brewed coffee is definitely better than Starbucks. They have a pretty good menu with good variety. The service is awesome; the staff has always been super nice and more than helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. It's a great place to hang and talk; we've brought friends from out of town here to experience something unique and not the same old boring chain coffee shops. Our kids enjoy the fun stuff they have available like the books and games. They've even welcomed our dog! We are happy that there is a place like this in Warrenton. We had a catered family function for lunch yesterday at the cafe following a memorial service. Everything was set up when we arrived, the food was delicious, and the service excellent and non-intrusive. Given that we have some vegetarians and many omnivores, the available menu options covered everyone. I'm so glad we chose this cafe! read more
