I went in last Monday in need of replacing my current vehicle. I was introduced to Chuck as my sales person and I have say BEST experience EVER! No attempt to upsell me. No smoke blown up my tail end. Complete opposite of every sales person I've ever worked with! Kind, courteous, and took the time to show me all the features of my new ride, plus instructions to contact him if I need help! John was the finance person and he was great too. Gave me multiple options of extended warranties (which I asked for, was not pressured into the add on), no pressure to pick a specific one, and took care of everything efficiently. As a woman I've had more than enough times where I felt talked down to when car shopping and there was none of that. I've always been pleased with the service department (Rich is awesome!) so it's great to find sales to be equally as great! If you're looking for a vehicle, ask for Chuck, please let him know you saw my review, and enjoy a non-vomit inducing vehicle buying experience!

I was very pleased with Steve who was my salesman. He was not too pushy but very helpful and patient while I drove a few different trucks. I was surprised they actually gave me slightly more than I owed on my trade in. Overall very happy with the experience there.

Sitting safely inside service the night before.

I recently had my Cadillac in here for a recall. I have a "V" series Cadillac so I wanted a better dealership than what I had experienced at Patrick in Schaumburg. Looking around, all reviews for Heritage in Lombard, and Naperville Cadillac weren't reassuring me either. So I looked outside my local area and found Dekalb Chevy/Cadillac/GMC. Motor Werks in Barrington was also on the good list. Anyway, the recall in question is pretty simple, a fuel pump relay and harness. Problem is, getting to it. It required exhaust removal, driveshaft removal, and dropping of the rear cradle/sub-frame and suspension to lower the tank to get to the fuel pump. Roughly a 4 hour job when everything goes according to plan. Problem is, that didn't happen! To remove the exhaust, GM engineers didn't put a flange later down the exhaust (like they do on other vehicles), to facilitate quick and easy removals. The exhaust is all one piece that only bolts to the exhaust manifold flange. This is where problems came on mine. Due to age (the car is ~9 years old), with moderate mileage, on a high temp part, bolts just don't come undone. That was the case here. Well, actually, they did come "undone"... The studs snapped on the passenger side manifold. To add complexity to the matter, these weren't standard GM exhaust studs and were specific to my LC3 engine. So those had to be special ordered from GM. Then of course the fiasco to get the busted ones out... All in all, a 4 hour job took ~2.5 days. I was almost about to do this whole recall myself as I used to be a GM tech, but I'm almost glad I didn't as I had enough of this type of thing then. On my own time, in my garage, this would've taken a week to do... But Brandon, my service advisor was great (can't say enough nice things about him), and they handled it without issue, other than the frustration of having a lift tied up with a 4,200 paper weight. He may not want to hear this, but any local "V" series owners needing this recall, I will gladly send to him. I'm also very particular about my car(s). This one never sees rain, snow, etc... So he (Brandon), was understanding and gracious enough to leave it inside before and after service.

The critters house in my filter!

So a little over two years ago I purchased a vehicle from Superior car credit. The day I bought it…read morethe check engine light came on. I went back and brought it up and they ran a test and said it was the catalytic converter we set up a time to bring it in and get it replaced. This time it was free of charge since they sold it to me that way. Three days later I get the car back with a replaced converter. The very next day the engine light comes back on. They test it again. Same result. They explain that Chevy sometimes need specific converters but that the car would still be usable until it got replaced. It never did. Fast forward a year or so and I was terminated from my job. I was going through different employers for about a year and missed payment from time to time in which they would disable the car. There was a point where I had a severe coolant leak and coolant would spray from the hose all over the engine. I was out of work so they shut the car off for a few weeks. I spoke with them about the coolant problem and asked if they could please fix it while the car was disabled and I want able to use it anyway. The agreed and took the car and made the repairs.I got my money together and paid it and got the car back repaired. The car was never perfect but it was running and didn't really cause me much problems. A few months later the car was disabled again. This time for 20 days. There was nothing majorly wrong with the car prior to it being disabled. Again I got my money caught up and they enabled the vehicle. This time however when I went to stay the car it acted exactly like it does when I try it to start it when it's disabled. One click and that's it. So I call them and ask what's going on. They give me no real answers except that the car is indeed enabled on their end. For days I try to figure out what's wrong... Posting questions on here, having people come look at it, etc... the consensus was usually the same, it appeared as if the car was still disabled. I called and complained again and they finally agreed to look at it. They towed it in to Superior and I heard nothing for a couple days. I called them on the third day and the last sent me a three page invoice with the numerous issues with the vehicle that cost over 3000$ to fix. They mentioned 3 specific problems that needed to be fixed just to get the car running again and that would cost $800. So, this incredibly long story short. I am furious with this company. There was nothing severely wrong with the vehicle when I parked it now there's a laundry list of problems that they want to charge an additional 20% of what I'm paying for the car in total. I feel like I'm being scammed. I honestly don't even know how to react at this point. So I'm here asking... What would you do in this situation? I understand my occasional issues of being late on payments is 100% my fault. But I've always got the money right and got caught up. I feel like they are just playing games and want to squeeze every some they can put off me when the reality is these problems almost certainly already existed when they sold me the vehicle. It's incredibly infuriating and I'm curious what others would do in this situation

These people are the worst used car dealership in Dekalb!!! Avoid them at all cost!!!! My sister…read moregot a car from them and they used the kill switch 24 hrs after no payment. That doesn't even seem legal! Most car dealership give you 1-2 weeks to make a payment before doing that. This "company" does whatever they want they're super unprofessional.
