Sold us a water damaged car - took it back within 30 days and was assured the vehicle was just needing a program update. Solved issue for 10 days and then started again. Pleaded and begged dealership to take back vehicle after it had shut off completely 3 times on myself and my wife while doing 30 mph with our 5 year old son. They proceeded to say we will find you another like vehicle. It's been 4 months without a car that is sitting in their parking lot, they won't take car back, they won't trade car for another like vehicle, they are stating they can't and won't take a loss when myself and family have been at a loss now since the day we pulled it off the lot. They have advised us to follow through with an attourney. We just wanted things to be made right. I would never recommend anyone to go to this dealership. Anyhow, I had done the credit application on line prior to coming into the store. Much of my income is tips so hard to prove. The salesman James said nope, we won't help you. He refused to allow me to test drive. Said nobody would be albe to get me in a car, they work with all the same lenders. Kinda funny that later the same day I went to a Chevy dealership in Dekalb and I was told no problem. I get my new car on Saturday. I Came to this dealership for service on my new Colorado. They corrected a recall and also performed a TSB to correct a transmission issue. Bob H was very knowledgeable and professional, thank you so much for making sure my truck got fixed right. Erin was excellent as well. Top notch work performed just as they said. My Truck came back working perfect and they took good care of it while they had. They even had a shuttle to drive me home and pick me up later in the day to bring me back to pick up my vehicle, Awesome! I'm pretty picky about the quality of work done and I could tell the technicians here work on your vehicle like it was their own. I'm also a DIY regular maintenance kind of guy but think I will be bringing my truck here for maintenance service now, because I trust them to do it right. Just a quality and customer centric chevy dealer. i went to 4 dealers around the St Charles area looking for a blk/blk suburban with certain features. the search was long and frustrating (with one dealer in naperville telling me they had the vehicle to only find out they didn't when i arrived). Anyway, Joe Howland at Bob Jass was straight forward and knew his Chevy config. and marketplace. He explained that a LT with RST (and other options we were looking for) was most likely would be 2nd row captain seats. Why couldn't others tell me this without getting to drive an hour to the showroom to only tell me they don't or couldn't find one in the national dealer database? Anyway we eventually ordered a 2019 suburban to our spec and got the price we wanted. Customer excellence for once. read more

Had to take it in two times to fix one issues and while being repaired, one of their mechanics split a line and fluid spilled all over my drive way. Great place to do business with. There are no price games. No added dealer options. No games. You can still negotiate the price, but they don't add a bunch of bull to the bottom line to make there money back up. Very straight forward to deal with. The service department is great. Thanks Bruce for wasting our time! We noticed an ad for a vehicle advertised on the Internet and drove over. the dealership was closed but the repair area was still working on vehicles. We could not find the advertised car and inquired at the repair shop. the mentioned they often posted cars they did not have to drive traffic and it was not unusual. As a result of this information the next day we called the dealership and spoke to Bob and he assured us they had the car on the lot (it was assumed one of the salesmen drove it home the previous night). We immediately left and drove the 40 minutes to the dealership only to find out they did not have the car on the lot. They claimed they had the car and sold it the previous day and ol' Bruce did not check their inventory when we called; then heimmediately tried the bait and switch maneuver. Please...sorry Bruce but as all three of our family members will not be doing business with Bob Jass Chevrolet. You wasted 80 minutes of my time when I could have been testing autos that actually existed. read more

First, our sales man was extremely friendly. The negative review of the place does not really pertain to him. After finding a car we liked, my husband and I applied for financing. This is the 3rd gm we have gotten, so we are pretty familiar with the typical procedures. This was a Wednesday around roughly 4-5pm. We were told the banks were closed and so we would need to wait until the next day to have our info reviewed. Odd, but seemed reasonable. Then we were told that our info would not be processed the next day either, as the man who does the finances is off that day...sooo, do they not sell any cars on Thursdays?? (Better make sure to not go on that day of the week!) Then, finally on Friday we call...and are told to call back late in the afternoon. Ok, a bit of a hassle, but I still have some patience. We call, and the only answer we received was "still working on it, call back Monday". We have a couple thousand cash in hand as well as a trade in, that we were putting down, so we weren't looking for games! We feel as if our money isn't wanted here. And hey, if I'm paying thousands of dollars, I want to be treated with respect. Needless to say, we went to a different dealer and got approved in about 30 mins. So we will be looking at cars there this weekend. Also the cars at bob jass are VERY over priced. A 35k car there was 29k at another Chevy dealer down the street. Won't be back. Unfortunate too, as my husband works across the street, so we, as well as his company, would have been steady repeat customers. read more

Over the years, if I had to return for oil changes or service, the staff were amazingly welcoming and friendly- unlike other dealerships in the area that I have been to where the staff acts like they are doing you a favor by helping you. When it was time to purchase my next vehicle, I knew there was only one place where I wanted to go. The sales team went above and beyond for me, especially Steve (the salesman I mainly worked with). I knew the car that I wanted going in, and there was no pressure from any of the sales team to purchase anything more than what my budget allowed. Steve spent a great deal of time locating the vehicle that I wanted, which they then had delivered directly to the dealership for me. I absolutely love my new car! I made an appointment at this dealership for the first time for our truck. They had better availability for when we needed to bring it in and they are closer to our house than the one we usually go to. I dropped it off and they were so polite and curtious. I then said that I needed a ride home if possible and they got someone to give me a ride so that I wouldn't have to call a cab or walk. They called a few hours later and told me that they completed the work that we had brought it in for and then some. They found an update that needed to be done as well as two minor recalls that we had no idea about. I asked how much we owed and the guy on the phone said it was all covered! That was amazing news! They really went above and beyond and this is the first time that this has happened at a dealership since we bought the truck! When the guy finished explaining all that was completed he asked if I'd like someone to come pick me up. That was really nice. They did not have to do that. I let my husband know about what happened and he was floored. Said that from now on we are going to take our vehicle to Bob Jass in Elburn.
