Have gone back a few more times .... Only to find the same lousy service and rude management . Food is poor at best . Will not return again ! read more

Idk if I had food poisoning or what. But I had always gone here until one day my bf and I went out on a date night here. We were both throwing up and very sick after leaving here. Don't think I will ever return. Sadly read more

Amazing pulled pork guacamole and delicious margaritas. Can be a small wait but drinks/apps at the bar was easy and convenient. Food was literally served in under 5 minutes read more

Went to see what the line outside this place was about. Nice enough atmosphere (a bit cheezy like a Ruby Tuesdays). U can tell the hype is basically more about the excitement of a Mexican place in a great location. Ok, let me start off by saying I'm part seagull & can eat almost anything. The food at this place was absolutely tasteless & cheap. Like a HS cafeteria. Ground beef should be brown in color, not grayish white with pieces of ground up snouts & bones. I have a feeling once the novelty of something new in town wears off, so will the clientele. I'll give it another shot in a few weeks & see if anything changed. read more

I was very excited for the opening of Del Fuego in Babylon. I have been to the Smithtown location for lunch and really liked it. Who doesn't like a fun tex-mex place for go-to margaritas & burritos? The decor is very nice. The atmosphere is fun.The menu is extensive, and I can't say enough about the salsa. The SALSA is by far the best restaurant salsa I have had and they are plentiful with refilling the chips & salsa. The drinks are pretty average margaritas, nothing too crazy there, however they have a HUGE tequila selection including some of my favorites that are hard to find at other places. Great beer list too. The food is good, but I am not sure that alone will offset the negatives. I have been there twice and both times they have gotten my entree wrong. Entirely the wrong dish. I am not sure if it's the waitstaff or the kitchen, but both times. I have not been there on a Fri or Sat night when it's very busy, but rather a time I wouldn't expect many issues. The service is attentive in the beginning and falls off throughout the meal IMO. We didn't see the waitress until there was a problem, and the person who brought our entrees was not very helpful when we had questions about my dish being wrong. Although the busboys couldn't get us drink refills, I believe they tried to locate our server, and they were very nice. The manager seemed sincere in her apology of the issues we were having but it left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't want to be too negative since they are a new business and apparently just have some kinks to work out, but I am not impressed unfortunately. I had really high hopes, and will probably give it one last shot in the future, but I don't think they can hold a candle to Swell at this point. Oh, and they charge for drinks refills, even after entree problems. Pretty cheesy. read more

I went with my brother on the weekend the place was kinda crowded. I was not impressed with the food. The food has no flavor and was very bland. i will not be returning. the staff was very friendly and polite that's why i gave a decent rating. read more

I wish I could this place more stars, but I can't. Shrimp taco was so bad I took one bite and couldn't get over the frozen taste. The beef taco was not seasoned at all and came out very bland, the mesquite chicken was very salty and not "hickory smoked or natural" at all, it was clearly out of a jar. The queso was basically whatever they found in the refrigerator and melted with a bunch of cheese and not enough chips. read more

We weren't even able to eat here tonight. We came from Westchester to have dinner here with my friends b/c they rave about this place to anyone that will listen. Once we got there for a party of 5 + baby, we were next to be seated. Unfortunately in the time my friend bought her drink, a large party (one of which appears to have been employed there or had the "inside connection") came in and magically we were bumped to an hour wait. This is unacceptable! We drove over an hour for this place and went from a potential 5 to 10 minute wait to an hour wait with nothing less than a "there were 2 large parties ahead of you". We weren't told that when we got to the hostness nor did her list have anyone ahead of us. 110% unacceptable. read more

Our experience here at Del Fuego was amazing. They told us that our wait would be 15 to 20 minutes but it actually 10 minutes, thy work very fast. They have delicious food. The workers are very nice and attentive. We had an amazing dinning experience. Ps they change channels for you. read more

Our waitress Chelsea did a really great job at accommodating us. She was very friendly! the fuego burger was so good, but their fries really topped it off. They should really look into getting Mango Hot sauce. read more

If you can't manage between 2 adults to eat 6 wings in 10 mins its your fault not the servers. The service here is great don't listen to disgruntled hard to please people. FYI if you let a quesadilla sit for more than 10 mins its gonna get cold. DUH read more

Love Del Fuego, have been here a million times. (Each experience better than the last). Service never disappoints. The steak & shrimp tacos are two of my favorites. Margaritas are amazing (try the spicy one). Overall has a really great atmosphere & great music! (babylon's the best one in my opinion) read more

I give it no stars because we never got to try the food. Four of us went there last night, Wednesday, and were told the wait would be about ten minutes. We went to the bar and bought a round of drinks for the wait. Forty minutes later still nothing. We noticed a few tables with patrons long finished with dinner still sitting there. What was most annoying was that the the hostess who told us it would be ten minutes spent a lot of her time standing at the bar right next to us talking to another employee and never gave us any notice at all. Even after we asked about the increasing wait time nothing was done or said. It seemed very rude. We left and went down the street to another Mexican place. Great service, great food. The evening was salvaged. read more

I used to eat at del fuego frequently, but they messed up my order quite a few times and I haven't been back. I'm a vegetarian and found multiple chunks of chicken in the vegetarian burrito (on at least two occasions). Vegetarians beware! My fiancé and friends do love the chicken quesadilla with BBQ sauce though.. read more

I love this place. First they start you off with chips and salsa which are so good i usually get too full for my meal. They have great tacos. Ive also had their wings which are good too. read more

Came in with my family- the margaritas were strong so no complaints there. I recommend the blackberry margarita if youre looking for something sweeter. Ordered the chicken enchiladas that were OK but got to try the brisket chimichanga and pulled pork tacos that were really good!!! read more

My friend who lives out here picked this place out and told me it was pretty good Mexican food, so I was excited to try the food. The place itself is pretty lively and looks like it attracts a fun crowd. I'm seriously obsessed with happy hours so I was very excited once we got here and discovered we were right in time for happy hour! Regular margaritas are only $4 during happy hour and they also have beer specials. We went with the regular margarita and I was pleased with the taste but it was a pretty small glass which explains the $4 price during happy hour. Since this was my first time here I'm not sure if they give out smaller glasses during happy hour or if this is the standard size, if it is then I would suggest only getting margaritas during happy hour. Once we were settled with our drinks I decided to get the shrimp quesadilla and my friend ordered the fuego salad. The shrimp quesadillas were pretty good! I liked the combination of beans, corn, cheese and shrimp and it was also nice that the guacamole, lettuce and crema were on the side since this prevented the quesadilla from being soggy. I tried my friend's salad and was pretty impressed with the combination of flavors plus the steak was pretty tender. My one complaint about this place was the chips and salsa that we got when we sat down. The chips were kinda greasy and the salsa was very spicy with a strong weird flavor that I couldn't really identify. The service was good but it seemed like our waitress was pretty busy so she didn't really have much time to come over and check on us during our meal. Definitely recommend this place for happy hour since you will need to drink a lot of margaritas if you want to feel buzzed. read more

Its amazing to me how a good group lets this location go so far down the shit hole. Chips = stale, salad = half dead greens with a single slice of unripe mango, burrito assembled as if no one gives a shit and brisket is no where near as tasty as other locations in St James and Patchogue. Drinks vary depending on who is making them and whether or not they are busy socializing vs making your beverage. Really turned off no wonder they were slow on a Saturday at 8 when everything else in Babylon is rocking, here's a tip if you want del fuego go to their other locations. I was a regular here a few times a week, disappointed. read more

Love Del Fuego for its speedy service, awesome food and even better drinks! Always a good time!

I love Del Fuego for everything from a lunch date to girls night. Great drink selection, fun atmosphere, good service. I do wish there were a few more vegetarian options on the menu, but I do love my usual rice and beans with sweet plantains. Definitely one of my go-to's in Babylon. read more

If you like bbq or tex mex, then you should really try this restaurant. The drink menu had a ton of tequilas to choose from, there are lots of mexican beers on tap, and the food is great. The wife and I had the guacamole and pulled pork wontons to start, both awesome. Then we made it a fully pork night with an order of pulled pork tacos and an order of carnitas enchiladas. Everything was fresh and very satisfying. I would recommend this for a fun night out. read more

Went here last night. Word of caution- extremely crowded! It's a tiny little place. There's 1 bathroom. You wait at the bar and then the gods laugh at you for thinking you could whittle the time away with beverages. We were told we had a half hour wait for a table so we went to the bar. Had a yummy grapefruit/tequila drink. Based on other reviews they go light on alcohol but that was fine for me because with no food, I would be wasted. We waiting a really long time. It stunk because there was no room to feel comfortable. But, hey, that's our problem. We weren't drinking enough to keep up with the people surrounding us. Now we get seated, they give you chips and salsa. Yay! However we wanted more chips and we ordered diablo guacamole. Was told "it's a 10 out of 10" spicy so went with traditional guacamole. Should've asked them to make the diablo 6/10 spicy or something. The little, sad, plastic bowl that came out with a lump of shitcamole was not exciting. It was bland and not as chunky as I'm use to. I had eaten ALL the chips before it came out.... (The salsa was yummy-ish and I was starving) and we weren't given new chips. So I attempted to put mass amounts of guac on a little bit o chip. Weird. We got em after some time but we weren't given them and we ordered guacamole. Let that sink in. That's a shame. Skipping through- jalapeño bacon pork thing was good. Burrito was good. All in all, the ambiance isn't for me. read more

Placed an order for pick up at Del Fuego..thankfully food tasted as yummy as it does in the restaurant (I've had some bad experiences with delivery/pick up). Quesadilla was made well, Fries were amazingly crisp..Portion size was correct. Only 1 issue I had- they seem to always forget the salad dressing (as they did this time)..luckily we checked as soon as we got into our car and were able to run in to grab it. Other than that, great lunch. I'm back to being a Del Fuego take out fan..hope they will keep it up! read more

Del Fuego was great! The servers and staff are super young, but the food, drinks, and general atmosphere are really fun. The strawberry muddled margarita was fantastic, and the pulled pork wontons are amazing. The wait wasn't too bad at 7:30 on a Friday night- we grabbed a drink at the bar and had a table before we knew it. read more

Great place! We shared the guacamole with chips which was plentiful and delish! They refilled our chips without charging us extra. I had a coconut rum concoction which was strong and yummy. I also had the shrimp quesadilla while my husband had the chicken and rice combo which we both loved and took home leftovers. The server was excellent and the atmosphere was fun and casual! We'll be back :-). Also, we went on a Saturday night but had no trouble finding parking on the street and getting a table. read more

The pros: drinks are really good. The bartenders are friendly & attentive. No complaints about the food either but take note that this is not an authentic Mexican restaurant. The con: the service I've received both times I've been here has been unsettling. The first time I visited, it was around 10PM so I assumed the server's behavior in trying to get us out fast was because her shift was coming to an end at 11pm. Fine. For fairness purposes I came back again at an earlier time- about 6:30PM. Same issue. Keep in mind, my boyfriend & I love trying out drink menus and tend to order multiple rounds. We finished our first drinks & the waitress immediately came over to ask if she could get us the check. Uh no? I would like another drink. She brings out the next drink and as we finish she comes back & again asks if she could get us the check. Each time she approached us she was rushing and pushing for us to move along or leave. We both ordered entrees & drinks, we weren't just sitting there holding a table. There were empty tables around us & no line out the door of people trying to get in. To my knowledge, I would think servers like patrons to order things, especially drinks because, oh I don't know, higher bill = higher tip? Each time I've visited I've been here less than an hour due to this constant rushing from the server. Frankly, it's annoying and uncomfortable. read more

The service was good, the waitress was on top of her business, my two issues: they ran out of steak on a Friday at 7:00 pm and the bartender forgot the jalapeño tequila in the margarita... Still with two issues; the waitress manage to make it pleasant and took corrective actions immediately. read more

I've been to this place 3 times. I love the tropical guacamole the first 2 times, the third, not so much. I was disappointed since i was looking forward to the guac. Their burritos are huge and def can be shared. The tacos are tasty and i love their sauces. The service is ok, not the best but they can work on it. The place is small and can get really crowded. Del Fuego - Tex-Mex Near Me - Babylon, New York

We had a really good time here Saturday afternoon! It's a new Tex/Mex restaurant on Deer Park Avenue, in the town of Babylon. It felt "good" the moment we walked in. We sat at the bar which was packed at 1400 on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered a Mojito Picante. Wow! Never had something like this before. In addition to muddled mint, they muddled jalepeno and ginger. When I drank the ice cold concotion it felt refreshing until I swallowed - then I got a slow burn. MMMMMMMMMMMM! I had to order a side of beer to drink along side it! What a treat! They have about 6 tap beers, 2 local, and I believe 1 that is exclusive from Port Jefferson. Tons of tequila. Lot's of choices. We ordered some apps which we enjoyed a very much. Tuna tacos were great. It started to get crowded fast so we hit the payment. Definatley a great new addition to Main Street! read more

I really do not think that there is such a thing as 5 star Mexican food, but if there was-this would be 5 star. The salsa they give you in the beginning is awesome, nice and spicy. I had the beef burrito and it was so good, usually burritos are 90% beans but to my amazement it did not have a lot at all...which is great, because no one likes that much beans. Parents had the vegetable burrito and loved it and they don't even like Mexican food. The service is SUPER friendly and on top of their game. Highly recommend. read more

Food was pretty good no complaints. We waited a little bit because it took a long time for them to clear off tables. Once we were seated we were brought chips and salsa and given water. After ten minutes out waitress had not come up to us. When I asked we were quickly approached by our waitress who was apologetic. The staff was then quite attentive to us. The people around us seemed to complain a lot and the staff was very accommodating. All in all I thought they were super nice people, but the service was kind of slow. read more

The decor is awesome for typical Long Island standards. You immediately feel transported elsewhere. There was a deal on tacos, so we went with those. In the raging debate of Del Fuego vs. Swell Taco, I would recommend Swell Taco for their hospitality. read more

Not impressed with this place. Went today to try it out although I thought it was overpriced (turns out it completely was). We ordered three burritos they were supposed to come with Mexican crema. I asked if the Mexican crema was sour cream and they assured me it was. Well there was none in my burrito. Also we got two burritos without guacamole and we spent $45 on 3 burritos. Such a rip off. Would way rather go to swell for less price and better food. read more

This festive Mexican restaurant in the middle of Babylon Village is a go to spot for me. Depending on the day you may have a wait but the bartenders always are always ontop of their game. You must try the jalapeño infused tequila! ...and of course there is TACO TUESDAY! In my opinion these are the best tacos in town :) my advice would be to get there early if you are coming on a Tuesday. Either way they are worth the wait! read more
