Lovely spot overlooking the golf course. Food was good and the staff was friendly. Highly recommend when you are nearby.

Was looking for a quick snack before an appointment. Nothing sounded very appealing but I ended up ordering the brat. The bun looked like pretzel bread which was disappointing because I'm not a fan but it ended up being really good. It was like they deep fried the bread. It tasty fatty with a nice crunch but not so crunchy where it scratched the roof of your mouth. Service is pretty meh but that's ok. It's a quick food/drink stop if your playing golf.

Smash Burger with waffle fries

After a long shutdown the Del Monte Bar & Grill at the Del Monte Golf Course has reopened with a revamped menu.I wasn't expecting to have one of the best burgers I've had in a long time when I ordered the Smash Burger, but it most certainly was. The waffle fries were also on another level. I will definitely add this spot to the rotation!

Had a great lunch today, my first visit here. Needed a gluten-free (GF) option so I ordered a chicken fajita (sans flour wrap) but with a corn tortilla and green side salad. Was very pleased with the quality and taste of everything (especially the chicken) and the generous blobs of salsa, sour cream and guacamole. Service was friendly and professional; you can see they take good care of their regulars but treated a newbie like me with the same kindness. Beautiful day, satisfying lunch.

Clubhouse sandwich with side salad

This place has a great Clubhouse Sandwich on sourdough bread and I love the location right next to the practice putting green. The food came out promptly but the check took a while to come and our water was slow to be filled.

We lined up right when they opened and got a booth table (there are tons of tvs at almost every angle so most, if not all the seats have a view). The food wasn't anything special but I was super impressed at the prices and variety offered during happy hour. It's getting harder and harder to find a restaurant that has a decently priced happy hour that doesn't just have $10 truffle fries as their "happy hour." We ordered a bunch of the food items but the Wings were my favorite (4 wings with celery, carrots for $5), while the Eggplant Bites were my least favorite. I love eggplant but this was way too sweet and all the different flavors were quite weird.

Sadly we sat and sat, waiting for someone to even ask us what we'd like to drink but it never happened. As we headed for the door, the apparent server appeared, perplexed that we had been unwilling to wait fifteen minutes for his assistance. We've loved this place for years and felt sorry that the evening hadn't turned out as planned. Clearly the upgrades didn't involve service.

Yet the ambiance, service, and food are very good! I love the various aspects of the decor, as well. Other than parking challenges on a busy night in the downtown, we were lucky to get a table for 5 relatively quickly, as this place isn't that large, with some additional bar seating, and it seems very popular. 5:30 was a great time, as we watched the waiting line grow longer after we were seated. Our server, Michael J., did a great job of greeting us, providing menus, and taking initial drink orders while we decided what to try. We decided to try BBQ honey wings, fried artichoke hearts, and onion rings for appetizers. The main courses were two orders of kids' cheese pizza and tater tots, a small dinner salad, a cup of New England-style clam chowder, and a NY Steak sandwich. The food came in a reasonable time, with appetizers and salad first, then the rest. The apps were good, but the onion rings were a bit greasy. The honey wings were well-liked, as well as the artichoke hearts, which, strangely, were not oily like the onion rings. Yummy! The cheese pizzas paired with tater tots were certainly different, but the pizza was more like a reheated frozen pizza. The tots were okay. The NY Steak sandwich was good as well, with a side of steak fries - obviously! Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would definitely consider dining here in the future when in town.

Our waitress Rachel was great and took good care of us. We ordered the French dip (added Swiss, onions, and mushrooms) solid sandwich, though it could've used a touch more salt. The real star though, was the fish and chips. Genuinely some of the best I've ever had. Lightly battered, flaky, perfectly cooked. The vibe lands in that sweet spot of upscale casual without crossing into fine dining, comfortable but elevated. Highly recommend if you're passing through Carmel. We'll definitely be back.

The fish and chips is the ultimate meal. The burger was savory, soft and creamy just he right amount. It perfectly paired with the Talbott pinot noir they recommended. The only comment is make is the amount of French fries that were served with the burger. The plate was a lot larger looking because a sparse amount of fries was served alongside. Maybe add a little more next time just to balance it off. The servers/bartenders knew their stuff. They provided what they could in terms of what was popular and well liked. They said both items we ordered were the most popular. The fish and chips have won best fish and chips 3 years in a row. I would agree with this since I usually am not wowed with this dish. I couldn't resist ordering a dessert. The applied tart with vanilla ice cream was so satisfying. Overall service, food quality and experience was very good. If return over and over again for this same food and experience. If I could give 10 stars I would. Carmel and Brody's is a new destination.

I was so thrilled to check this pub out especially with our doggie, Meatball the Bulldog! How perfect right? A Bulldog at The Bulldog Sports Pub. We snagged the last available booth, and it had crumbs on there. Not clean. SMH. I went to the bar to order some drinks for my boyfriend and me since he left his wallet in the car. It was raining that night, and we parked several blocks away. The service was okay. I remember the guy bartender said $29something, but then he charged me $30something. I got the Jalapeno Margarita while my boyfriend had the Tito's Mule. My drink was very sweet with a kick of jalapeno while his was pretty good. They had music playing. It seems that there is a modern jukebox where you can pay to pick a song. There was one pool table for people to play. So many people came up to pet Meatball and give him so much attention. He absolutely loved it! There was one guy who asked if he can say "Hi" to Meatball, and we said that it was okay like we normally do. This weirdo was basically making out with Meatball; not cool at all man. Then Meatball flipped on his back, and he was holding Meatball. My boyfriend told him to let go of Meatball. It was such an uncomfortable interaction. Not normal at all. He even said, "This is my NYE kiss!" SMDH. The guy sat down at a table that is across from us, and he kept looking at us. We quickly finished our drinks, and then we left to ring in the new year at our hotel lobby instead. We should have just hung out in our hotel lobby instead of going out; it was much better there.
