Wild West burger with upgraded chili cheese fries!

This place is amazing! Drove in for the aquarium walked 4 minutes from there to here My siblings and I got the carnitas burger, western burger, and messiest burger (chili burger) all 10 out of 10. The peanut butter vanilla shake was delicious and came in a very cool Deadpool cup! The ambiance is beautiful! It's very homey, food is served on dishes you'd find in any welcoming home, and every wall has multiple pieces of fun American culture. The cashier/ cook is very nice and brought our food to us very quickly! Our only complaint is that we live 4 hours from this delicious place and will need to be back soon! Definitely worth the time and money! Thank you American burger!

    Classic cheeseburger

Got take out food when my family came to Monterey. Place was decent but fries were cold. Decent price for decent food. I did like that the burgers did come with fries. Even got a side of ranch!

Amazing food! The service was quick and nice! The ambiance was very laid back & old timey. Love this food!!!

This place may have once been fun and great, but we would have been better off going to Jack in the Box or some fast food place. I was shocked at the prices. Three burgers with fries and one shake was $60! The patties were not hearty for the price being charged. The restaurant itself didn't smell like food. It smelled like an old musty, antique shop. I guess years ago they gave drinks in cool cups, not now. I guess they also gave milkshakes, not now. The server seems depressed and not happy to be there. I saw him shake his head after my husband paid the bill. I guess he was expecting a big tip?! I won't say the food tasted bad. It was fine, but save your money and just hit up a fast food joint. It was not worth $60. Dairy Queen has a better deal with just of good quality, if not better. To conclude, they used styrofoam which I found disappointing considering how awful it is for the environment. I would not go back.

California burger (cheese, bacon, avocado and the works)!

Our group was warmly received by the owners, who took our orders at the counter. Made it easy for us each to pay for our own meal. But the best parts were the retro decor and the amazing burgers. All of them were delicious (even the veggie ones!) and all our ordered came with fries. Wonderful meal and experience. So good.

Everything was tasty! Price is good too. The gentleman running the register was very kind & friendly. I loved the music that they play, very calming! Nothing too overwhelming. I ordered the BLT with avocado, along with curly fries. Very tasty, especially with the house sauce! We also got the western burger, which was also perfectly cooked. Next time I'm here, I'll definitely be back. Such a good find!

Overall, the burgers and salad were satisfying, and the restaurant had a great casual burger-joint vibe. Starting with the Works Burger, which was the highlight of the meal. The patty was juicy and well-seasoned, and the combination of avocado, bacon, and sauce added a lot of flavor. Everything worked well together and made the burger feel indulgent. That said, it could have used more mushrooms, and it leaned a bit too heavy on the sauce. The bun was also a little soft, if it had been toasted or slightly charred, it would have held up better to the sauce and added a nice texture and flavor contrast. Next was the Copeland Mushroom Burger. This one had a juicy patty topped with mushrooms and grilled onions. The amount of mushrooms was good, and the cheese paired really nicely with the toppings. The grilled onions were a nice touch and didn't overpower the burger at all. While it was solid and enjoyable, it didn't feel particularly unique, more like a burger you could recreate at home. Similar to the Works Burger, it was a bit too saucy and could have benefited from a toasted or charred bun for more structure and flavor. The Grilled Chicken Salad was excellent. It came with generous portions of grilled chicken and bacon, plus half an avocado. Everything tasted fresh, and it felt like a healthy, well-balanced option. No complaints here, definitely a great choice if you're looking for a lighter dish. Service was fast and friendly, and the overall atmosphere was nice. It definitely has that classic burger-joint feel. Overall, a solid spot with good food and a good vibe.

Our waitress Rachel was great and took good care of us. We ordered the French dip (added Swiss, onions, and mushrooms) solid sandwich, though it could've used a touch more salt. The real star though, was the fish and chips. Genuinely some of the best I've ever had. Lightly battered, flaky, perfectly cooked. The vibe lands in that sweet spot of upscale casual without crossing into fine dining, comfortable but elevated. Highly recommend if you're passing through Carmel. We'll definitely be back.

The fish and chips is the ultimate meal. The burger was savory, soft and creamy just he right amount. It perfectly paired with the Talbott pinot noir they recommended. The only comment is make is the amount of French fries that were served with the burger. The plate was a lot larger looking because a sparse amount of fries was served alongside. Maybe add a little more next time just to balance it off. The servers/bartenders knew their stuff. They provided what they could in terms of what was popular and well liked. They said both items we ordered were the most popular. The fish and chips have won best fish and chips 3 years in a row. I would agree with this since I usually am not wowed with this dish. I couldn't resist ordering a dessert. The applied tart with vanilla ice cream was so satisfying. Overall service, food quality and experience was very good. If return over and over again for this same food and experience. If I could give 10 stars I would. Carmel and Brody's is a new destination.

Juicy, flavorful and a solid go-to. And I forgot to take a photo! Onion rings: Perfect not oily, light, and crispy. Chicken wings: Came out dark and really oily this visit. Not quite right but hey, it happens. Chicken tenders: Everyone's favorite kid-friendly. A solid, safe bet for the table. Chili cheese fries: First time trying and they were pretty decent. Mozzarella sticks: Had zero cheese pull. Zero. Zip. Nada. Jalapeño poppers: Forgettable. Atmosphere: Cool and comfy. We comfortably played a family game at our table. The bacon cheeseburger was really good, the Caesar salad was a solid classic, and the fried chicken dinner was hearty and satisfying with two large pieces of chicken plus sides. The banana cream pie has a spin on it. I love the brûléed bananas. What stood out the most, though, was the service. My family is in the restaurant business, so I tend to have pretty high standards when it comes to hospitality and customer service. Our server, Razi, was truly excellent. He had the perfect balance of friendly and professional, made great recommendations, checked in often, and made sure we had everything we needed. At one point, I was feeling a little lightheaded, and he immediately brought me a cold towel and made sure my water glass stayed full so I could stay hydrated. That level of attentiveness really stood out to me. He was fast, efficient, customer-focused, and brought such positive energy to the restaurant. So many restaurants struggle these days with finding employees who seem trained, experienced, and genuinely engaged -- Razi was the complete opposite. He was outstanding. I even made a point to share positive feedback with the owner before leaving because great employees deserve recognition. I honestly could see Razi managing this restaurant -- or another one -- someday. As a fun side note, we also learned he's a singer/rapper, which somehow perfectly matched his great personality and energy. Really memorable experience overall.
