Decent frozen marg (I could've had it be a bit stronger)! I think that's probably the only thing I'd come back for. Oh and the churros! They come out piping hot in a little churro cart. The customer service is kind and your orders come out fast. Calling the queso "cheese sauce" on the menu gave me pause lol. But hey it was our first time so we had to try it! Hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant in Garland! We have been visiting this restaurant for the past 3 years since we live right down the street and it's always great! Today I got one of my favorite entrees which is the cheese entomatadas and the hubby tried the burrito plate with pastor meat. Some other standouts are the chicken fajitas and chicken poblano both are super good too. The servers are always very friendly and we always get our food super fast which is a lifesaver when you have a 1 year old. The ambience is good there's usually music playing, but it's not too loud. My parents also like coming here when they visit and they have very high standards for their Mexican food. read more

The food here is probably the best authentic Mexican food in garland hands-down! My grandmother on the Mexican restaurant in Harry Hines back in the day call Cuquita's and she knew how to cook especially enchiladas, guiso and tripas in a red or green sauce. I ordered food for delivery through DoorDash. I had ordered the fajitas with all the mixed meats and then the pork tripas and I could not get enough the sauce at a perfect consistency was not too thick and it was not too watery, which is perfect for eating wrapped in a corn or flour tortillas. The fajitas and meat was enough for three people, maybe four but worth every penny! The cooks have everything to do with the flavor, and you must have fresh ingredients to pull that off! Good job! Upon arrival we were served fresh warm tortilla chips with salsa, the tortilla chips seemed like they had been freshly made and the salsa was really flavorful and not too spicy. I ordered the chicken poblano plate with corn tortillas on the side which were also house made and so good. The chicken had an excellent flavor although it was a bit on the thin side like they took a whole chicken breast and sliced it in half to make it stretch. The flavor was still really good and it was topped with sauteed onions and poblano peppers and covered in melty cheese. I put a little bit of everything into my tortilla and made tacos with it which only made the dish even better in my opinion. They don't have fountain drinks, they only have drinks in a can and they don't offer any refills on your chips and salsa or your drinks, thus the four star rating. Food was good, service was good. Music was too loud. 3 people were there at lunchtime on a Saturday and there were 4 tables that were not bussed in the 45 minutes we were there. I told the manager that the food and service were real good but the tables should have been cleaned, she disagreed and said the wait staff were on lunch break. So 6 customers and 4 dirty tables with 4 wait staff and 4 or 5 employees in the kitchen and noone was responsible for bussing tables. Give them a 3 all things considered. read more

Recently went in about a week or 2 and had a horrible experience. My food was cold and had no seasoning. I ordered the family sombrero and got more nerve than actual meat. I'm not one to return food so we ate some of it but will never go back again. Service was horrible. My waitress Melissa would forget my table and was very rude. We had to call other waiters so they could check on my food or get us more drinks but even then our drinks would take to long. Overall not a great experience and recently a friend of mine witnessed a fight that happened Friday April 19, 2024. I would not be coming on the review page if I was not warning costumers to not consume here. The fight was between a Mariachi and a client and no one did anything to stop it but instead recorded and viewed it in front of other client's. Clearly the atmosphere is not great either. This was my first time visiting! I came during lunch hour, today are short staffed the food came out fast and was delicious. It's a very laid back restaurant with lots of food options! I tried their grilled shrimp nachos and unlike most restraints that tend to be "stingy" with the shrimp they were so GENEROUS! The food is well portioned and very filling. The Tampiqueña meat was well seasoned! Their cheese enchiladas are extra cheesy and the flavor is A1 :) i had their freshly "squeezed" lemonade but to be honest, it's taste is not far off from a Minute Maid beverage. I was at the Buckingham restaurant on Jun 16th bringing a couple of friends because I had recently visited and found the food, service and pricing very good. However, during the time 4 guys walked into the restaurant (one without a shirt) and proceeded to the bar to start a fight. These guys should have never been allow in. I was terribly embarrassed that I brought friends. I contacted the restaurant and asked to speak with the owner. I never received a return phone call. I will not be back. We prefer thin chips with queso but they make the thick homemade chips that are not our favorite. Chile con queso had no meat and it was the consistency of gravy and quite tasteless . Stopped here for a quick Happy Hour special, my party anz I weren't the only people thinking this. Upon entering this restaurant there was nothing but tables upon tables of women. Laughing, drinking and enjoy FRIDAY after work. (Fellas if you're single looking to mingle this is your place on Friday night. We had dinner on a weekday on our way back from a chore and enjoyed chicken fajitas. The flour tortillas were warm and appeared to be fresh and the chicken was juicy and flavorful and with generous portions. The refried beans were delicious. The flan especially was tasty amd light. Our toddler's orange juice might have been prepackaged but we were okay with that (it seems hard to get fresh orange juice right). Overall, we loved the food and vibe of the place and plan to visit again, hopefully during their live music sessions. read more

This place surprised me! I realize this was an existing restaurant that moved into the current location but all other business at this location failed, quickly. So I didn't have much hope for Del Rancho. we have been there twice now and the food is excellent. The service is great. The restaurant is very well kept. The prices are fantastic. I can recommend the beef fajitas for two with out any qualms. For my husband and I, it was enough for dinner and lunch quesadillas with the leftovers the next day. The regular hot sauce is weak with no heat! May as well be tomato sauce so I am taking a star off for that. A Mexican restaurant with bad salsa makes me sad. read more

I have just come from the doctor because my husband got FOOD POISONING from them. He paid 15 dollar for his lunch and he got a rotten pico the gallo with E. Coli and his rice was bad too. The meat was a suspicious sour taste. He had leave work because he started to vomit and spent the whole evening with a strong headache. I understand this this situation they are not making much business, but it does not mean they have the right to sell outdated food. Easily feeds 3-5 with all the scrumptious meat: Fajita, chicken, shrimp, sausage and chorizo. It comes with 3 small plates of rice & beans and homemade tortillas!! Our waitress Ivonne was sweet and very attentive to everything. On Friday's they have mariachis from 9-10 and a live DJ from 11:00pm-2:00am. I will need to come back for that. Tex-Mex is my second favorite type of food and I haven't found a good Tex-Mex restaurant in town since three closed El-Chico's . Del Rancho Deserves 100+ stars and we will definitely be coming back!
