    Chiles rellenos

My experience was overall really good. You have to understand that this is a Latin Fusion place which means they put a twist on traditional Latin dishes. They do have some unadulterated items like fajitas and beans and rice. Other items like the chiles rellenos are half stuffed and then layered with additional cheese, instead of stuffing the poblano pepper with all the cheese. As far as the taste and presentation - delicious and creative! Downside: water has traces of "tap" taste and the menus shown on the reviews are outdated. The server said they change the menu every 6 months.

I've been here several times with the family, and also gotten the fajitas but I recently had the opportunity to take my friends for the Latin dance night and we explored the menu and really enjoyed all the other items on the menu. The chicharrón tacos were incredible, the lomo saltado was very tasty, very similar to Peruvian flavors and the paella was delicious!!!

I was told we were going out to a Mexican restaurant. When we pulled up in front of it, I was still looking for it! This place was a very pleasant surprise beginning with the name. No garish decor or bright colors just class and hospitable surroundings. Even though quite busy, we got a table immediately and our server had menus in our hands while setting the table with chips and salsa. An excellent selection of dishes were available on the menu. Each of us chose something different and before we knew it, our food was presented. Without getting into describing each dish, as they all were flavorful and plentiful, let me just say that you must order the Mexican corn as one of your sides! This place is a hidden gem that plenty of diners have found. Will you be next?

Tried this place for the first time today. It was soo delicious. Best enchiladas I've ever had. Seriously! The salmon was absolutely HUGE! Everything was so good and decently priced. Great quick service and cute little area in downtown Rowlett. Will definitely be back!

I love the atmosphere. It's busy and fun. For better or worse, it feels like you're in the family kitchen... casual and gregarious. The music makes you want to dance. We waited a 45 minutes for a table on a Friday night (not unusual). Then we ate 3 servings of chips and salsa while waiting another 45 minutes for the food. My husband said, "but for the food, I'd like it here." He had fajitas. The fajita steak was tough because it was incorrectly cut and the chicken was dry and over cooked. I had the posole rojo. I can't say that it was worth the wait, but I will say that I wasn't disappointed. It was DELICIOUS! The four stars are for potential. They have some work to do in wait times, cleanliness and professionalism, but those are easy fixes. I look forward to returning and giving 5 stars.

Supposed to be cheese enchiladas with queso on top

They're normally pretty good in person but today we ordered Togo and..... we ordered on cheese enchilada with queso ON top (there's none) and chicken enchiladas WITH sour cream sauce (none). I'm not sure if it was busy today or what but man :/ no one wants to eat dry enchiladas:(

Thissss drink is amazing!! Perfectly made

Hands Down. HANDS DOWN!!!! The best Mexican food I've had in years. I've lived in Kansas, okc, SF, Vegas, Chicago, now Dallas... hands down!!!!!! It's a small spot, fifteen tables max. Two servers, a manager and a busser to give context for the atmosphere. The service is impeccable. The food is outstanding. I can't even begin to describe how good it is. The drinks..... crafted.. individually. Absolutely delicious. I can't get enough. I will be a life long customer. I am so impressed. I wish I could paint a better picture but this is Picasso of dining. Mona Lisa of Mexican cuisine and the crème de la crème of service!! A million stars if I could !!!! I didn't take a pic of my food but I ordered the 3 combo 1 cheese enchila with chili con carne 1 chicken enchilada with spicy sour crème sauce 1 tamale (my favorite) with avocado sauce Spanish rice and charro beans (sooooo good) Ground beef chimichanga with chili con carne and Spanish rice Appetizer - chorizo con queso (absolutely amazing) House margarita House special cocktails with coconut crème, Malibu, Tajin and some other stuff. I can't remember the name. (SOOOO GOOOD) Everyone needs to come here. If you're reading and made it this far, just come. Don't even second guess it. It's amazing.

A reminder that this restaurant is located in a strip mall and parking might be an issue due to the number of establishments. When you enter, you wait to be seated. The dinning area has a dark look to it with music playing in the background. There is a bar area if you want to go have an adult beverage. Our server brought the menu and water (our server not very customer oriented or timely). The complimentary chips and salsa were good and salsa didn't taste old. Mother of cashew ordered the appetizer taquitos and a tostada de ceviche. I asked for a taste of the mole and it was chocolate base so I ordered the enmoladas with double beans. As you can see, the taquitos were big and filled with meat. The tostada was loaded. The mole had a special sweet bite but not all powering. The refried beans were solid and good combo with the mole. We had ordered a margarita yet it never came so we canceled it as we were finishing our meal. The meal was good and flavorful, good portion size and the price $36.85 was very reasonable. If the service was better, it would have been a great experience.

The beer was cold at least but with so many Tex Mex options around i wouldn't recommend this place. Service was a little slow and they didn't know what was available on the menu. There are better options in the area. Don't waste your time here

The attention to detail is incredible. We started with the queso blanco, which is served in a volcanic stone bowl that keeps it perfectly warm and creamy far longer than a traditional bowl. It was absolutely delicious, and the portion was enormous. Honestly, six people could easily share it and still have plenty before the main course arrived. For our entrée, we ordered the chicken fajitas. The chicken was well-marinated, the presentation was beautiful, and both the rice and beans were excellent. Now for the few things keeping this from being a five-star experience. First, the tortillas. They tasted like packaged grocery store tortillas...think Mission brand. For me, freshly made tortillas are almost non-negotiable at a Mexican restaurant. When everything else is this thoughtfully prepared, packaged tortillas feel completely out of place. Second--and this is a hill I'm willing to die on--I ordered a Diet Coke and was told they only serve Coke Zero. I'm sorry, but those are not the same thing. Every Diet Coke fan understands this. Finally, the noise level was overwhelming. There was a soccer game on the TVs with the audio blasting throughout the restaurant. It was so loud that carrying on a conversation was difficult, and even hearing our waitress required her to lean in right next to us. This isn't a sports bar; it's a beautifully themed restaurant that happens to have a bar. The game didn't need to dominate the atmosphere. Overall, the restaurant is stunning, the food is very good, and the attention to detail is exceptional. If they started making fresh tortillas, offered Diet Coke as an option, and turned off the TV audio, this would be an easy 5+ star experience for me.
