We went here yesterday for a quick bite. We usually like this location but we shouldn't have gone in after seeing what an employee was doing on his break (a couple of other people referenced it in their reviews). After seeing that we probably shouldn't have gone in. But decided to anyway because we were hungry for the good Del Taco food that we are used to. We were placing the order and employees were acting very strange. The food took a long time considering it wasn't that busy. When the order was finally ready, the worker screamed my name arrogantly at the top of his lungs. Then after arriving home, one of my family members got very ill, and that's never happened at Del Taco before. Fortunately she snapped out of it. In conclusion, I suggest background checks and drug testing. Won't be returning to this location. read more

I went here a couple days ago. I had to write this rating because I was impressed with my visit. The employee that took my order was very polite. He was eager to help out. I ordered the $5 meal deal. We walked in to order a burrito and tacos and the cashier that was working the cash register in the restaurant as well as the drive thru told us that the one food preparer was new and it was going to take "a minute" for the food to be prepared. She literally told us to not order anything. I'll be honest with you. I have never had that happen to me in a place of business. Also, I usually only give great reviews and ignore the establishments that have poor quality food and service but I feel that this interaction was warranted. Hopefully, the owner will sell his Del Taco to the owner in Barstow. At least, there are happy employees and the food would be exceptional. 30 minutes to get our order in drive through? Holy crap Batman!!! Got in with 4 cars in front of us. 10 minutes to place our order of 2 burritos. We were told at the window a new person was working in the kitchen and someone else was at lunch. We also the person working the window was the same as the walk up counter. This sounds like a management issue. The owner wants a better bottom line so the have less staff but while we were in line we watched four people come inside and leave with nothing. This is NOT a good thing. Maybe your bottom line would be better if you could serve people without them going away empty handed or writing reviews like this. This is a VERY fixable problem. Losing business will lose the bottom line completely. It is a service industry. The food is awesome. Work it out or you will continue to lose customers. read more

I am a very frequent Del Taco customer in my home town. Made a visit to this location when traveling and it was by far the worst ever! Got into a literal argument with a staff member when I called him out on his very rude and inconsiderate comment about the sauce that is added to the quesadilla for my toddler. He told me "I don't have your taste buds" and we literally went back and forth arguing when I told him that was rude and not a way to handle customer service. Even his co workers apologized for him when all said and done. Food took over 15 minutes to make, fries were hard and cold, tacos loaded with toppings and hardly any meat, bathrooms were filthy, With "mess" all over the toilet. On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, I ate at the Del Taco off Topsy Lane on 395 S. in Carson City, NV 89705. I ordered the three fish taco special at $7.00 plus a drink. The fish tacos were the size of my ring finger (I'm a lady) and were so overcooked that it was like eating crunchy fish jerky. I couldn't even tell that I was eating fish. It was just a grease-soaked log of fried batter. Besides the food being horrendous, the restaurant was filthy. There was a large dried soda spill by the garbage can, and the floor of the cooking area was littered with pepper, sauce packets, food scraps, etc. When I told the manager that the food was severely overcooked, he said he would have to turn down the temp on the fryer and was sorry. He offered no comp for the meal or offered to make something else at no cost for me. I said I would not return. He didn't seem to care. read more

Looks like they forgot half the meat and the cheese between the tortillas was barely enough to hold them together, let alone be visible coming out like the picture on the menu board. There were no Del Tacos where we hail from! This is only my second time in one. Let me preference this by saying I'm not naïve but I believe a certain level of professionalism should be observed. Starting with the food. Since I have next to no experience with this food, my opinion is a bit inferior. At this point, it's not my cup of tea. It tastes very odd. I do love those crinkle-cut fries. Their little ketchup packets compliment (let's face it, they will never be confused with Heinz). I'll confide that I was raised on Taco Bell. Honestly, I don't think any of you are reading this review to talk about the food...you've probably eaten far more Del Taco than I have. The cashier was incredibly friendly and comical, especially for an older worker in fast foods. I might return to this location just to yuck it up with her! Unfortunately, now comes the bad news. I was second customer through the door this morning and each of the tables I went to were covered in crumbs and/or food of some sort. Even the benches were evidently not wiped down last night or this morning. That's 101. I don't care what restaurant you're running. I'll take my order to go, thank you. Not too sure why all the lower reviews but....I barely ever eat fast food, BUT I USED to eat here all the time in Oceanside California. I would hardly ever get their signature burritos, just once in a while, but what I used to buy pretty often was those bean and cheese. Not because they're super cheap, just because they're super good, at least to me. I remember I used to get like six or eight at a time because they were fairly small, but I've been to this del Taco two or three, maybe four times, and every time I've gotten them, they were pretty big. Especially for only $1.79. This time before last, I bought three with red sauce and three with green sauce, but was only able to eat 2 of them! Today I just ordered one, and downloaded the app for the free "The del tacos". While waiting for the car ahead of me in the drive thru. Not exactly my favorite, but they sure aren't shy with the ingredients! Every time I've came here, the employees have been super nice, cheery polite and accommodating. I even didn't order my free tacos until I had already ordered my burritos and it wasn't any problem at all! The one time I went inside, the place was pretty clean from what I remember. Love their carnitas burritos when carnitas are in season. Ordered extra green sauce and was charged .64 more for what was less than I small container which would have been .32. Didn't seem too happy when I asked it to be removed or remade. Was not pleased myself when she just quickly said so after grabbing my card and charging for it. One of the burritos was made good and the other was really skimpy, probably still half asleep if it's not a tactic to sneakingly take back from customers. read more

First of all, I'm not a huge fast food junkie, but when I heard that Del Taco is now serving Beyond Meat, I just had to try it out for myself. I am thoroughly impressed that fast food chains are picking up on the vegan and vegetarian demands of our current times, and I am proud to support any establishment making these changes and additions to their menu. I visited this location at about lunch-time on a Tuesday afternoon and the business was bustling. The cashier was friendly. (Friendlier than most cashiers at fast-food restaurants.) The tables were all clean, and the sauce racks were all stocked. AND I got my first Beyond Avocado Del Taco of my life. Let me tell you. This taco was nothing short of amazing. This taco made my life better. I had to take a few looks at the packaging to make sure I had really ordered a Beyond taco. I had. Ultimately, I am so happy that I can now road-trip with the comfort of knowing that I can join my omni partner and friends in fast food indulgence and eat more than just french fries and diet coke. Under new management; but service still lacking and quality missing. Went inside and ordered fries and a bean burrito. Took 10 minutes to get my order, one employee caught that the order may have not gone out and asked the other employees if it went out, none seemed to know, i had to speak up and say no it hasnt come out yet. They had to remake the fries. I left and drove away, half the fries were burnt crispy, and the bean burrito had no red sauce in it. Actually wasn't bad for a fast food place. The tacos were fresh with fresh cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Meat to veg ratio wasn't bad. A bit greasy tho but comparable to Taco Bell. Coming from So Cal where there's a del taco on every corner I start reminiscing high school days and decide to come in to get a quick bite. (Fish tacos, chicken soft tacos or veggie burritos with del scorcho). But even though it's a fast food place they need need to SLOW down. I've never had an issue with any del taco (including this one) until my last visit. Apparently having more than 2 customers in line and a car in the drive thru put them in a frantic rush to push food out quickly without any quality control. I received something I didn't order. It happens, and the cashier quickly fixed the error but the women assembling food were SO frazzled and overwhelmed that I felt bad and awkward for even asking them to remake it.
