There were no Del Tacos where we hail from! This is only my second time in one. Let me preference this by saying I'm not naïve but I believe a certain level of professionalism should be observed. Starting with the food. Since I have next to no experience with this food, my opinion is a bit inferior. At this point, it's not my cup of tea. It tastes very odd. I do love those crinkle-cut fries. Their little ketchup packets compliment (let's face it, they will never be confused with Heinz). I'll confide that I was raised on Taco Bell. Honestly, I don't think any of you are reading this review to talk about the food...you've probably eaten far more Del Taco than I have. The cashier was incredibly friendly and comical, especially for an older worker in fast foods. I might return to this location just to yuck it up with her! Unfortunately, now comes the bad news. I was second customer through the door this morning and each of the tables I went to were covered in crumbs and/or food of some sort. Even the benches were evidently not wiped down last night or this morning. That's 101. I don't care what restaurant you're running. I'll take my order to go, thank you. This being said, I would be a bit hesitant to get a look at their kitchen. 12/19

The Del Taco. Not my thing but if you're into them, THIS is the place to get one!!!

Not too sure why all the lower reviews but....I barely ever eat fast food, BUT I USED to eat here all the time in Oceanside California. I would hardly ever get their signature burritos, just once in a while, but what I used to buy pretty often was those bean and cheese. Not because they're super cheap, just because they're super good, at least to me. I remember I used to get like six or eight at a time because they were fairly small, but I've been to this del Taco two or three, maybe four times, and every time I've gotten them, they were pretty big. Especially for only $1.79. This time before last, I bought three with red sauce and three with green sauce, but was only able to eat 2 of them! Today I just ordered one, and downloaded the app for the free "The del tacos". While waiting for the car ahead of me in the drive thru. Not exactly my favorite, but they sure aren't shy with the ingredients! Every time I've came here, the employees have been super nice, cheery polite and accommodating. I even didn't order my free tacos until I had already ordered my burritos and it wasn't any problem at all! The one time I went inside, the place was pretty clean from what I remember. Don't remember any music playing or anything. Just your basic fake Mexican fast food joint with nice people and good for a quick bite, with nice size portions for your money.

We usually get fish tacos or they have taco specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For fast food they're decent.

It took 30 minutes to go through the drive through & there were only 3 cars in front of us. Food was good though.

I do go through the drive-thru, but I honestly recommend going in for the best and fastest experience. You truly can't beat the prices at this place. A good-sized burger is still less than $6. I fed my family of four tonight for just $25. Solid food for solid prices. The inside service is super fast. The drive-thru is also fast, but certainly slower than the drive-thru. The employees are always kind and courteous, and they keep the place super clean. I've never had a bad experience at this location with either service or food. Overall, it's an In-N-Out. You kinda know what you're expectin,g but this location lives up to the hype and is dependable for inexpensive, quality food and service.

Yet, a few nights ago, here I was at Qdoba and only because the nearby La Salsa had closed. I considered the nearby In-N-Out, but both the inside and outside lines were insane. Past that at Topsy, there wasn't much else to choose from. It was kind of lonely walking in as there was only one other customer seated and the good folks behind the counter seemed like they just wanted to go home. The menu is similar to Chipotle, as you pick the style (burrito, bowl, etc.), the protein, and then toppings. I went with a bowl, containing Adobo Chicken, Black Beans, Brown Rice, Corn Salsa, and little bit of grated cheese. At least I tried to pick the healthy choices. I took it all home and heated it up just in chase. Good portions, decent tasting, and just what I wanted for a late dinner. Not bad for a last resort choice.

What I received was an amazing blend of super tender pork in a slightly sweet but tangy BBQ sauce, mac n' cheese, and a perfectly cooked (not hard or dry), very generously sized potato (big enough for two). On a chilly day, when you're hungry, this absolutely fits the bill. Warming and savory, but well balanced, and not greasy. After some bowling or billiards? Perfect. I was thinking this was probably the best flavor, when I saw the rotating ad for....a spaghetti potato pie. Will have to come back and try other varieties. The cashier was very helpful and patient explaining the menu. Checked the website and looks like they update the menu with new options too. They say they're "dedicated to perfecting the art of the baked potato," and they're doing exactly that. Along with it, they're also serving up one of the best craft-style fountain sodas, Stubborn Soda. Don't hesitate to make a little detour (or order delivery) to try this place. You don't go to Panera to get phenomenal fresh baked pastries or top-tier food. But you can rely on a fairly tasty menu and consistently good coffee, tea, and other beverages. My latest visit included a coffee, a cinnamon crunch bagel, and a muffin top. The muffin top was over baked and kind of bland tasting, even with chocolate chips. The cinnamon crunch bagel was great and my kiddo devoured it, but I ordered it non-toasted and they toasted it anyway. Coffee- great as always. A few varieties to choose from.
