The consistency of this Del Taco on Ontario Ave is absolutely terrible. I work nearby and I am a huge fan of Del Taco but this location has disappointed me time and time again. Poor management, unfriendly service (minus two employees one named Bri) you always pull up to the window and feel like you're an inconvenience. Could quite possibly be the morale of the employees there is low because the manager doesn't seem to give a rats about the environment they work at. There is no pride taken on the quality of food, I am constantly seeing new employees and few regulars so that tells me that working there must be as bad as the food. Biggest gripe: fries the fries are almost always limp and old. They need to do something fast to redeem the reputation of Del Taco, or maybe the franchise just doesn't even care I don't know but it's incredibly frustrating that nobody seems to care about the customers satisfaction they only seem to care about a paycheck. read more

I went to Del Taco today and my burrito smelled and tasted like cigarettes. When I took it back they said they said the beans were burnt but they continued serving beans because it takes 8 hours to make new beans. While the rest of my family ate their tacos about 10 more people came in from drive thru and said their burritos tasted like cigarettes. I love this del taco. Now I don't have to drive clear across corona anymore. I've noticed at other business' on Christmas Eve, workers tend to be a little irritated and some what rude or unpleasant because it's a holiday and they have to work. But I went through the drive thru today and Annie was working. Very nice and cheerful worker. I also went inside because I forgot to order something and the other employees that were working are just as polite and cheerful as Annie. I've quite literally Been in this drive through forever! I got here at 10:15 pm on a Friday night. It is now 10:52 pm. I have a large off-road truck and have considered exiting the drive-thru while hopping curbs and destroying the nicely set foliage. Once again I have decided to not break the law, and instead take it in the rear by yet another understaffed, poorly managed, food service establishment. Afterward I felt bad about leaving 1 star and decided to leave 3* because the staff was indeed working hard. This issue legitimately ruined my night as I was in a hurry, but I feel worse for such a hard working staff that has been poorly managed. :( read more

I know it's fast food not authentic all of that but you know sometimes you're in a rush and you just need a little something to get through til dinner time. I was very surprised the first time I had a taco here. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional the cheese is really good, the shells super crunchy, sauces delicious and the meat spiced well. ***OPENLY RACIST*** I am writing this on behalf of my mother who went to this del taco. Although English is not her first language, my entire family was shocked at the clear racism and disrespect displayed by the employees of this establishment. At the pay window, she spotted several employees making rude gestures to each other while clearly mocking her accent. The actions were clearly directed at my mother, because of how they kept glancing back at her and laughing. The female cashier denied it and quickly slammed the window shut without even trying to hide the fact that they kept staring and laughing even with the window closed. My mother then pulled up to the pick up window and complained. The employees denied it and condescendingly said that perhaps she was the one to have misheard the clear racism and open mocking directed towards her just moments earlier. No apologies were issued. Only del taco place I go to and i went a couple days ago and as i was eating my burrito there was a long black hair in it! so disgusted, will never eat here again. I'm usually not a yelp person but coming on here to write this i noticed this place only had 2 stars!! i will be using yelp for now on because you never know what's going on back in that kitchen! last time you will see me in that store don't go there, Magali took my order and he wasn't very patient don't plan on going there. Updated Review Sept. 29, 2017 ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Our taco shells were all split on the bottom and one was so bad the person who assembled it noticed it was split and slapped the whole taco into another shell so the taco had a double shell! Just ridiculous, and they were assembled so fast the cheese was everywhere! The management here sucks! They obviously could care less! ================ So excited to have a Del Taco open close to home! Unfortunately, the experience was less than satisfactory. Small portions, charged 50 cents more for extra cheese and didn't see any extra cheese in my burrito. Disappointed to say the least. If you want to copy a very successful Del Taco, look at the Del Taco in Baker, CA. That place is fabulous!!!! read more

Husband and I have visited at least four times in the past month and I'm very surprise to read all the complaints on this site! We get the chicken soft tacos or the turkey tacos and our order has always been great! We do dine inside, can't speak for the drive-thru but, inside the food and service has always been awesome! read more

So this is a relatively newer Del Taco. I have never been satisfied with the way it's run. It's my fault for coming here in the first place. I guess I come here because it's convenient and open late. This is probably one of the STINGIEST Del Tacos ever. They use tiny tortillas for the supposedly newer and bigger "Del Tacos" they are stingy on the meat and cheese. They charge for condiments. This place is a joke!!! I've only come here twice recently, once at 10:30 PM and once at 11 PM. I've been stuck in the drive-through for 30 minutes trapped by other cars. I call them on the phone for them to tell me they're in the middle of shift change and it's going to take 15 minutes for their computers to reboot. Tonight while sitting in the drive-through I call them and ask them if they were doing shift change and they're out of shrimp. normally i don't review fast food places because, well, it is what it is. everyone knows what they're getting when they go there but this was insane. brand new del taco and i walk in and the place is FILTHY. i mean seriously trash in every table and the floors had dust and trash everywhere. i was taken aback. do i even eat here? i'm starving and i don't have time for this crap so i order. i watched the girl in the kitchen replace the beans and she takes the crusty old bean spoon and sticks it into the new batch. it was so gross. she was wearing gloves but she was touching everything. overall i was just grossed out the whole time. the food was cold when i got home. the beans tasted old. no sauce on the burritos. too much sauce on the tacos. overall just not happy with this place and won't be back. managers, please keep your place clean and your employees following health standards! it's so important! read more

Sometimes they (Ryan) can try too hard to "upsell" you on larger and more expensive items. It can become quite annoying and at times a little aggravating. You order menu item number (pick one) and instead of processing your order they try to upsell you to larger portions. When you insist on purchasing the menu item as advertised they just won't quit in their upsell efforts. This is especially true in the drive through. Then halfway home, I took a sip of my drink and found they haven't given me what I ordered. I returned to the restaurant and walked inside to get the drink I wanted. By this time my food has become cold. I asked them to make a fresh order and they refused. I then asked for and received a full refund. I left the cold food on the counter and walked out. Another dissatisfied customer. I guess I can't really fault the employees who are doing what the owner/manager has told them to do. But I think a little discussion and retraining would help the employees working the weekend to provide a better customer experience. read more

Went for drive thru at the dinner rush (730pm-ish). Ordered my food, went home. First thing I pull out is my brc burrito, and I find a bit-off nail. Had to pull it out of my mouth. So gross. I love Del Taco, but this is the worst one I've ever eaten at. We dropped by here last night to pick up some dinner. The food quality was horrible compared to other Del Taco restaurants. I had the combo with the spicy chicken burrito and a chicken taco. Both were about half the size of what I get at other Del Tacos. The burrito was mostly beans and rice, there was hardly any chicken in it, and it was not at all spicy. The taco was also very small in portion size, barely had any cheese or chicken, it was mostly lettuce and not much of that either. The fries were stale. The quality of the food that my wife and kids got was about the same. I miss the old Del Taco near the 91 and Surfas Club. That place prepared their food well, this one sadly does not. So I've been there tonight which is Sunday and the previous Friday. Both times it was later at night but got told that "the system is down and it won't be back up for another 15-20 minutes." I call bullshit because the first time I saw them as I drove by, they were in the back just laughing and talking to each other. After going to Jack in the box right across the street and only a few minutes later I saw a whole line of cars and they were ordering their food and getting it. Second time was the same exact thing that happened. Never going to this place again. Just a bunch of lazy ass people who don't want to earn money for the business they work for even though that is what they are being paid for. We frequent here a lot for any time of day. It's the best way to feed a family on a budget. Especially love their Taco Salads. Best salad for the size and price and ingredients. Like from a restaurant without the tip cost. Needs more avocado though. Their hash browns are pretty good. The breakfast wraps need more flavor/seasoning, maybe some salt and pepper to start. The strawberry lemonade is good. The iced coffee is too sweet and too small of a size. The staff is very nice. They are very busy and often I have to pull around to wait for my food, especially fiesta packs. The chicken tacos, and the new crispy habanero tacos are both good.
