I really love Del Taco so I'm sad to see it have low reviews. Today I had breakfast from here and i got the egg and cheese buritto. I prefer it with the green sauce instead of the red sauce. It's so delicious though! Very flavorful and filling! The service is fast and friendly. They make the good fresh for you which i love because it's not just sitting there under a warmer waiting for someone to order it. Although i didn't get it today, i love their bean and cheese burritos and the cheddar cheese quesadilla. I think for fast food chains Del Taco is one of the better ones because of their fresh made food. Give them a try! read more

It is obvious they prioritize the drive thru over the walk in counter service. The last two times I went to the counter I waited at least 15 minutes while I watched drive thru order after drive thru order get their food. This is unacceptable! Other customers in the store noticed the same poor service as they stated to me that they have been waiting even longer than I have. I can not recommend this place. read more

So I am only going to review one item off the menu; I will continue to order from this restaurant. In March/April they offered 2/$6 Crispy Shrimp Tacos; I am sure this is their equivalent of the fish sandwich for lent only taster. When you order you can customise--add extra or remove any of the items in the taco--which is great for those of us who find cilantro to taste of soap though we cannot add off ingredient items like plain tomato. All of these extras are free except the extra shrimp and that is okay, they are the most expensive part of the dish so I would expect them and any other extra protein options to cost more. The extra shrimp is where there is an issue. They will charge you $2.40 for this extra shrimp which when one taco is costing you $3.00 I would expect to get a minimum of 2 if not 3 additional shrimp in the taco. And in years past I have received at least 2 additional every time I paid for extra. This year they seem to only be giving 1 and on one occasion no extra shrimp (yes, I got refunded that time). I have also gone to the A.F. location and received only the 1 extra shrimp as well. With this in mind if you are like me, ordering tacos at 6pm for your first meal of the day and in true need of protein then this is not enough. And it is not economical for anyone regardless of circumstance. So just do yourself a favour, order two 2/$6 and make some have no sauce/cabbage/pico so you will actually get the extra shrimp you are wanting. Yes, you have to put them on the other tacos but that is a small thing. read more

I came here at about 2 AM, and although the service was friendly, while I was waiting at the window I saw (and heard) the cook sneeze on my crispy chicken tacos. I was shocked that he didn't remake them, but he must've thought I didn't know (not okay). It was already late and I was ready to go home, so I just tried to ignore it and didn't eat the 2 tacos he was handling when he sneezed. Unfortunately, I still got sick almost immediately after eating the other 2 tacos he had handled. This must be a health code violation, I was up throughout the night sick and regretted stopping here. Surprisingly the best del taco we've ever been to and we've been to a lot. We went on Taco Tuesday and I will say those are the biggest tacos we've ever had in terms of toppings. I really like the snack size chips with guac. The lady that usually works the mornings always gives me a genuine smile when she sees me. The cashier/server was very efficient. She was doing the drive thru and the main counter at the same time, by herself, with a very good and helpful attitude. I ordered a couple of the regular tacos, two fish tacos, one shrimp taco, 2 shakes, 1 lemonade, 2 churros and 1 donuts holes. Everything was served promptly and tasted as expected for a Del Taco. The seafood tacos were actually good for the price, I was surprised! The churros and donuts were served hot and they were yummy! We go to del taco for speed of food delivery and taste and possibly giving up one for the other. It's the twenty first century, these are good problems to have. I have been a chicken soft taco fan for at least 15 years. Either I got the bottom of the barrel chicken this time, out of bad time of day, or they have changed their chicken supplier. This one was not good, it tasted like almost chicken. I felt like I had the spam version of chicken. I can only gauge the one product, since I don't get anything else. Every table in the play section is dirty. My food didn't match what I ordered. The refried beans taste like something you'd feed a toothless dog. The play area requires the kid to be under 4 feet tall, but if your kid is shorter than 4 feet tall than it's very difficult for them to get up the steps that all way too tall for a kid to climb. I have visited this Del Taco despite is inconvenient location on the street because it is the closest one for miles. I always order an avocado veggie bowl. Every single time, they give me a chicken bowl instead. This last time I went I told the guy at the drive thru that I had gotten chicken time and time again and to please check. I love Del Taco. I live in Federal Way, WA. I have been saving my points for quite some time and had well over 5k saved up. Somehow someone gained access to my app profile and using it at this location in Utah. I changed my password but it didn't make a difference. Someone keeps going in weekly ordering the same thing and using my points. I have reached out to the store but apparently limited in what they can do. I have reached out to corporate weeks ago but they just ignore me. I don't want to blame the employees but why can't they refuse the order when they see my name KNOWING this is FRAUD!! WTF? This may be the worst crap I ever et. BItter, tooth-hurting tough, almost black nuggets of what was supposed to be "carne asada" with wilted lettuce, on a cold flour tortilla. 2 cold tasteless shrimp in a similar setting. They gave me about 15 packets of mild sauce. It was horrible. I managed to get down one of the Shrimp tacos, and ate the filling out of the other. Barely edible. I got one of the "asada" tacos down in the same way. I opened the second one, hoping the first one was a fluke. Bat, Mais non...it was the same crap. As I was attempting to chew the "asada" It occurred to me that this wasn't something that was going to satisfy or nourish me. I spit it all back onto the tortilla, wrapped it up, and threw the whole mess away. This chain should be ashamed of itself. I can't even manage to try and write something clever, 'cos I feel vaguely nauseous. I started calling and leaving messages to see if I could buy taco meat, taco shells etc. I called 3 days in a row. Talk to the manager and asked how much I could buy 5 lbs of taco meat. Judge me! I love Del Taco! Their shredded beef burritos are awesome, and I like most of their morning selections. I think that their fries are disgusting, and I hate that they make you squeeze your ketchup out of those little packets. 20 packets later, and I have enough for a few fries.
