We visited this location during our last trip and they have so many options for a chain restaurant. We ordered chicken burrito, egg burrito, cheese quesadillas, fries, and something from their desert menu. Everything was delicious and the quality was good. Fries were really fresh and kiddos loved it. Staff was friendly and place was nice and clean. Parking was ample. Kids play area was closed for clean up. I've been going to this location for years. I'm surprised I haven't written a review yet. I use to be adventurous and tried different items but lately I've always ordered the usual. In my Del Taco app you can earn points. I always was able to get Snack Taco through points and a Del Classic Chicken Burrito and Grilled chicken soft taco. It's the right amount to get full. I usually stop by after work so I got something to snack on. Majority of the time it fills me up and I don't even need to eat dinner. read more

I love Del Taco, but this location suffers from not being properly staffed nor do they offer options being advertised online. I say this as someone who loves the food. Today (2/17) one of the two team members working was clearly stressing over the demand. She also mentioned to a drive-thru customer "only 2 people are working right now." For 2 weeks in a row I have come looking for the "spicy Jack quesadilla" and both times I have been told they didn't have the ingredients to make this advertised item. This has been a recurring issue for at least a year with this location. Sad because customers and staff members deserve better. read more

Lovely people work here! Very kind and courteous and the food is Del Taco delicious! I love the fish tacos with guacamole and a lemonade. Also, for families with small kids this is one of the few fast food places with an indoor playscape for kids, and it appears well-maintained. Bravo! Waste of money and calories. We used to go here a couple of times of month. Loved us some chicken tacos! But the food started getting lame so we stopped coming. After a year or more we tried again. We used to order every Friday. Since our credit card was renewed 2 years ago, they will not allow us to use it. They made an error when entering our new card. When we try to order it says that our address doesn't match the card. I talked to the owner several times and she refuses to do anything. There are no problems using the card anywhere else. We just buy elsewhere where the owners care about customer relations and profit. read more

Update to the previous 5 star review: I don't care about anything if you can't prepare one car's order in under 15 minutes. There is no way you can allow one car to back up the drive-thru for over 15 minutes. I waited 35 minutes for $5 worth of food and only 3 cars in front of me. That is outrageous. You need to use your critical thinking skills and realize that a $50 order with people backed up needs to pull up to the front and not hold up the line. Nevermind the food, price or anything else. Noon on a Saturday visit: not a single table is available for use and every booth is dirty. It's sad that service at the counter is just as lacking as is cleanliness in the dining area. I've only eaten here twice, and today was one of them. I did enjoy their California steak burrito last time around. If you can't get to a more authentic Mexican spot for your California burrito craving, then this is a good alternative. Today we wanted to try their breakfast, so I ordered the carne asada toasted wrap. It should not be confused with the Crunchwrap at Taco Bell though. It's way smaller, and it comes more like a wrap with one side open instead of enclosed all around. It looked like it could've used more ingredients but I was satisfied in the end. I liked the toasted exterior, and the portion of carne asada was reasonable for the price point. The iced coffee was surprisingly not bad, I liked that it was on the sweeter side. You also can't go wrong with $1 value iced coffee! I'm not sure if Del Taco would really be in my top options for a quick breakfast but it wasn't bad! read more

Saw they have a taco deal on Tuesday's at Thursdays starting at 3pm (not sure when it ends) We always stop here when we are in Elk Grove, especially now as the one "near" us in San Jose/Campbell has closed. Del Taco has always seemed to be able to keep their menu fresh with the addition of new menu items while maintaining a consistent value menu depending on what you had available for funds at the time. Over the past three years the value tacos have gone up in price from $.49 each to $1.00. Though I understand prices go up it's been acceptable to allow value, quality and service to go down in the process. California requires a minimum wage of $15 which is a ridiculous amount of cash to pay kids, and unskilled adults no matter their background and nationality. Not only do these high paid unmotivated unskilled employees prove they can't count by shorting orders they won't ever repeat orders to confirm accuracy. The preparation of the food is something of a joke as well. There is literally not enough components in these $1.00 tacos to cover the bottom of the little shell... So now we are paying double for half the food we were getting before served up by you're overpaid apathetic employees. I stopped eating at Taco Bell for the same reasons and it's been 8 years. I came in on Wednesday 11-27-24 the AD on tv said steak burrito starting at $2.99 cents well when I asked about it the lady at counter told that nothing started at $2.99 so it was false advertising and I ended up paying over $7 dollars for a burrito full of rice and sour cream and about 7 little pieces of meat very disappointed!! I normally go in the drive through and get what I need but the drive through was closed and they had heavy cooking equipment in the play place for kids so had to deal with a little one having a fit why they couldn't go inside. I ordered my meal and they gave me a big cup when I poured the Powerade, the drink was done and I asked the gentleman said he will fill up in few minutes...I waited till after I got my order and asked if they had another fill station and the lady who was running the register said they are out on all drinks except coke and I was confused if they are out why is there no sign and not notify individuals before they order to save us with spending money on something we can't use or get. It's been a while since I've gone to Del Taco, but once that craving hit, I found myself here at almost 10pm on a Friday. I hopped on the Drive-Thru line which was moving super slow despite there only being a few cars. I ordered the Carne Asada Fries (~$5) and Small Strawberry Lemonade (~$2). The Carne Asada Fries come with their crinkle cut fries topped with carne asada, guacamole, tomato, and their secret sauce. It's small enough to be a snack but big enough to fill you up! The fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The carne asada wasn't super fresh but can't expect much from a fast food joint. The Strawberry Lemonade is pretty refreshing. I like how the lemonade also has muddled strawberries in there. It's not overly sweet. For ~$7, I was pretty satisfied with this light (and obviously unhealthy) meal. All in all, Del Taco always hits the spot and is there for you even late at night! read more

I actually loved del taco. We have been coming to this particular del taco for decades. The service was amazing, the food was great (for fast food) and it was always fresh. Over the past year, it hasn't just gone down hill, it has plummeted. I mean, jumped off a cliff like a lemming. It's like they lost their zest for life and simply exist now. They are on life support. Before, our food was always hot. There was meat in the tacos. Even the value tacos. You could embrace your inner fat girl, and get piping hot fries and queso for breakfast! The employees didn't have the personality of zombies and seemed to have some semblance of pride. There was a manager there for YEARS. I think when she left, it all went to hell in a handbasket.
