I live near this Del Taco and come here about once every week or two. It's a really convenient location for me since it's on my way home from work. The coupons you get in the mail are awesome, and the value meals definitely help with pricing these days. For fast food, it's pretty solid overall. My only complaint is that the last three times we've gone, they were out of sauce -- specifically the hot sauce packets. For my fiancé and me, the hot sauce is honestly one of our favorite parts, so it was a little frustrating for them to be out three visits in a row. Other than that, I have no complaints. Stopped by today to order for a group of four. Cali steak burritos, fat tacos, chili cheese fries, etc. I asked the person at the drive through window to put in a lot of hot sauce. What did they put it? Three packets of hot sauce. Three. Packets. Are you kidding me? Does "a lot" mean something different down here in Cali compared to the rest of the country? I bought a Cheddar Quesadilla and I can't believe the lack of cheese. I tasted nothing but flower tortilla. What a shame, been a customer since I was a kid almost 30 years, and as a law enforcement I came here almost 2 to 3x a week. No more, for the price of almost $5.50 for this sorry quesadilla I can get a Double Double from In and Out. Ima keep this quick, because this place has wasted enough of my time. Here goes: -When ordering on the app there is no option to pick up at the drive through. You have to go inside. -I arrived at the location and there was NO PARKING. Unless you count the two open spaces for EV carpool vans. Such an effective use of space. I assume all of the parking was taken up by people visiting eh gym next door because there was nobody in the actual restaurant. -I canceled my order in the app (before I checked in) and decided to hit the drive through. The car in front of me ordered $36 worth of food that took ten minutes to get them. Yet I still had to wait another five for my order. -When I did get my order it was wrong. I ordered two of one item, was charged for one, and received zero. And the food that I did get was lukewarm with stale tortillas. Just screwed up at every possible step -After I left the drive through I started getting texts that my CANCELLED mobile order was ready. Just a cluster overall. When I was struggling with two jobs and night school this place was my saviour. Countless times I would buy a value taco and a chicken soft taco late at night and eat it in my car in the dark parking lot like a loser. At least 3 times police have pulled up to my car to find a guy eating tacos instead of doing drugs or drinking like a normal person. Back then I could buy the tacos with change since it would be under 2 dollars, it's amazing the price hasn't gone up that much since then. The "best" del taco in the area. This one is closer to csuf so they are pretty experienced with large, diverse crowds and dealing with rush times. They got their system down and are fast with consistent food. Really wish there were more del tacos on the bay area, it doesn't make us feel bad after we eat it like taco bell and sometime we like our Americanized fast mexican food. These tacos were rancid and the shake "milk" quality went down haven't had one in a long time and thought I go after being in the area to try them and the regular size is $5 plus the boy that served to me looked at me funny when I went to ask for straws as if I was going to rob him or something but that's beside the point of poor food quality. Looking at the reviews seems like this place has gone down in poor food quality. The best del taco when I lived down south. It's open 24 hours which is incredible and the size and taste have stayed the same for all the decades I've been eating here. Drive through staff are always so fast and professional, they are used to rushes and are blazing fast and polite at the window. Service was friendly enough. Ordered the #3 Fish Taco meals. Tasted how I expected, so it was not terribly bad or good. Would order again, if I have a craving. Well done del taco the chicken avocado bowl was delicious and hot and quick, u want a Chipotle like bowl without the wait and half the price come here.
