Some of the employees are rude as hell. I went through the drive through with my husband and the total was 9.99 the guy helping us went to ask for a penny for our change and he was asked "does he (my husband) really need a fucking penny?!" While normally I wouldn't care about a penny that comment was unnecessary. And on top of that they got everything in my order wrong except my drink. I tried to call to let the manager know what happened so he could address this discretely but since no one bothered to answer the phone I'm here making it public. Do not waste your time or money at this del taco. There are much better locations than this one. read more

I love Del Taco but I usually go to the one off Placentia. Today, on our way home, I decided to stop by this one and it wasn't a good idea. I ordered two loaded grillers--one of them chipotle and one of them ranch. The guy rang me up for 4 loaded grillers even after confirming with me and me telling him that I only wanted two total. We also ordered stuffed quesadilla tacos and, when we got home, we realized that we didn't even get them. I tried calling because I didn't want to go all the way back over there and the phone just rang for over five minutes. I wish I could say that the service here was amazing but now I'm realizing why everyone goes to the one on Placentia instead. read more

I've been going to this Del Taco since rocks were soft. Seriously, this Del Taco has been around for over 30 years and nothing has changed. Sure, the building got a facelift but it's still the best location around. I cherish my childhood memories at this place. I have many fond late night memories of getting two chicken soft tacos from this place. Their quesadilla's are magical and now I'm tickled to see they offer fish tacos. I am not a huge fast food customer but I do work quite early in the morning needing to be at work by 5 AM..... Del taco has saved me on more than one occasion when I have forgotten my lunch and not much is open at this time....I am able to get breakfast and lunch. I am able to get hot breakfast and coffee, juice etc. or tacos, hamburger Coke and ice tea...... whatever I feel like & it always Tastes great!! The most impressive is the staff. A lot of good & weird things have happened (ex: employee walking up to my car in the drive thru & asking me out because he liked my "peanut butter skin") but mostly good experiences here. & let's face it that's the most unique compliment I ever got.. anyways, if i get one more large fry thats literally half empty im gonna hurt ppl. & no they don't fall to the bottom of the bag - we tested & found that the amount of large fries fit perfectly in the small fry bag. We enjoy this convenient location and usually, fast service. Was really bummed the other day when it seemed like they only had two staff working and half the rice in our burrito was rock hard. It wasn't just overly cooked but dried out so much, that the rice was clear. I had to scrape out all the rice because my son complained it hurt his teeth. I think the employees were trying their best, but the owners of this location need to do better to support their staff. If you're not familiar with Mexican food and come here thinking you're going to get some... don't! So I finally tried this place bc rumors said it was good. It was interesting to see that they serve burritos with French fries so that's what I got. I'm a ranch addict and of course I had to ask for some... last time they charged me for ranch I was at a mom & pops restaurant. The ranch was really good for which I was impressed so I'm not even complaining about the $1 for two small sides of ranch. I also tried their strawberry milkshake and I was also impressed -- it was very good! The burrito was garbage & their fries were soggy. Bottom line, i will most likely never come back for their food bc it just isn't what I'm used to when it comes to labeling food as Mexican. Viva! This one's kind of old and a little dated, but it still has character ya dig? The menu is the same as anywhere else much like the barber shop where I get my ears lowered. My favorite item would have to be the Breakfast Quesadilla...Fluffy Scrambled Eggs, Mild Green Chilies, Lucious Slightly Salty Yet Savory Bits of Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, and a slight touch of Mild Green Sauce all melted ever so lovingly between a flour tortilla and then cut into easy to eat "triangles!" Biggety Bam that's good! They are pretty famous for how good their Crinkle Cut Fries are, but I absolutely love their Burgers too. Don't believe me? I know that there are Taco Hell fans out there that are gonna be like 'Del Taco sucks - Taco Hell for life!' but this is my review, so suck it! Absurd as it is, I love Del Taco. It's hard to go wrong there, as long as you stick to what they do best, anyway. I try not to order most of their limited time specials, mostly because they tend to be awful. Go there for the chicken tacos, or the been & cheese burritos (red sauce please!) or even the regular tacos - you'll be happy. This Del Taco can be hit or miss if you order through the drive thru. My food has been known to come up missing, cold, double charged, or all of the above at times. Still, the line tends to move pretty quickly, and you can typically get out of there with your incomplete order in under five minutes. For order accuracy, I go inside. (At three in the morning, when you're too high to care about order accuracy, drive-thru is perfectly fine, I'm sure.) Staff is pleasant, the food orders are typically accurate, and the inside is usually clean, even when filled to the brim with CSUF students (and staff.) Taco Tuesdays and Thursdays usually provide a deal or two on tacos, if you need an excuse to go there for dinner. I even like the breakfast burritos - my favorite being the one with eggs, salsa and cheese, though I could omit the cheese and still be happy. The hash browns are disgusting little potato mockeries though, deep-fried in misery and old oil. Opt for something other than their syrupy iced coffee too - you'll be glad I warned ya! Breakfast begins at 9pm I believe and lasts till 11am the next day, which works out well for all concerned :) Suffice to say, I'm a Del fan for life. (Plus, I get my KROQ stickers here.) read more

While I was a student at CSUF I knew this only as the Del that had a prank bomb threat, little did I know that the rest of Orange County was referring to this as "the good Del," and for good reason. Like everyone else in the world, I typically only go to Del late at night and when I or someone else in the group is starving. Usually you go to the past of least resistance, whatever is closest will do. So this should tell you all that you need to know: we pass at least two other Del locations just to go here. It's truly THAT much better. When my boyfriend first insisted on going 15 minutes out of our way even though it was already after midnight because he wanted "the good Del" I thought he was crazy. the quality of the stuff they use is just better, plain and simple. This place is close to the CSUF campus so i would stop in occasionally on the way to class. The cheaper price for the quality of fast food mexican is what brings me here. They have a variety of dollar items and combos under 5 dollars which is big to the college students. I never had a problem with my order the service. The only thing that bothers me is that they need to clean up the salsa dispenser and soda machine counter more often. It is almost always a mess with spills and trash. It's hard to review a fast food chain, because they're pretty standard across the board. Anyone who has ever been to a Del Taco knows that you can usually get pretty full for under five bucks. I have feasted on Del many a late-night as a poor college student. This particular Del Taco can often be hit or miss in regards to service and accuracy. Last time we went, they didn't put any type of sauce on my boyfriend's burrito (even though he asked for both red AND green mixed). The quesadilla I got was extremely dry and hard in some spots, not to mention cold. I guess neither situation was one that couldn't be remedied with a nice slathering of hot sauce... ...but oh, wait! These mofos are totally stingy with their hot sauce packets. They've skimped on us twice, so last time my boyfriend parked and got out to ninja his way into the restaurant to snag a few more packets. Apparently this location has come up with a creative work-around to thwart hot sauce bandits: they only have sauce pumps with little paper containers. Those crafty bastards. I usually don't do reviews for fast food, but I gotta for this one. I only come to this one because it's on my way to work. I stop by early in the morning to pick up breakfast. It used to be the egg/cheese burrito but since they started offering breakfast taco in competition with Taco Bell, I've been getting that. I'm reviewing this place because of the awesome service I always get at drive thru. Early in the morning, before 7AM, it's usually this one lady who makes the food and Alejandro taking the orders. He is always friendly, quick and accurate. They always get my orders correctly, especially with me not wanting any red sauce. I really enjoy coming here because of his friendly service. No food review because really...it's fast food, it's made one way, the same way, all the time, no matter where you go, the difference is in the service. read more

This is probably one of the best Del Taco locations I've ever been to. The food is quick and quite delicious for its value. The employees and wonderful and provide great customer service. They have a 24 hr drive-thru that is always appreciated. I've been to other Del Taco locations they are nothing in comparison to this one. Just reopened and they are even worse then before! Took forever just to place order and multiple people had to take the order for some reason. Shorted me on my change back, $20 would have been fine if I didn't count it. The messed up the order and forget an item, even though you ask: ARE YOU SURE THIS IS EVERYTHING? They said yes, I open and check, and it's missing a burrito lol. I ask to see the girl who told me everything was there, but they wouldn't let me. Gave me the burrito and I left. My friend told me that the Del Taco near CSUF was a lot better than the one just down the road from our house. I didn't believe him thinking that all chains were the same. I was wrong. When we walked into this restaurant it was immediately apparent that the place had been recently renovated. With a more modern atmosphere and people still dining very late in the night, it was...casually cozy. Their deals are also fairly affordable especially when you order with a coupon, or come in on taco Tuesday. one thing that did bother me slightly was that instead of salsa packets, they had salsa dispensers that looked kind of cool. Only, the salsa was not only difficult to squeeze out, but they were suppose to be contained in small (very small) paper cups that spill everywhere if you pump the dispenser too fast, and are rather cumbersome to pour onto your burrito/taco. but other than that. Never thought i'd write a review on a Del Taco store....but they deserve this one! The staff here works like they work at the Hilton. Well not quite that good but pretty darn good. The food tastes great here and makes me wonder why the food tastes different at other locations(gonna stop my imagination there). Another plus is they are open very late. Located right across the street from Bigs bar and grill...its perfect for a one two punch of alcohol and food. read more
