I usually grab food from Habit Burger once or twice a month and it is always good. This time I just got a charburger but the Santa Barbara char is one of my favorites also. My girlfriend usually gets the veggie burger with cheese. This is one of the few fast food places that has tempura green beans as a side. They are delicious and have a lot less calories than most of the other sides (excluding any sauces you may add). Since I live only a few blocks away from this location, I almost always use the phone app to order ahead for pickup so I don't have to waste any time waiting in line to order or sitting around waiting for the food to be prepared. They also offer a free charburger the first time you use the app to place an order. There are shelves by the entrance for pick-up and DoorDash/Uber orders, so you just walk in, grab your bag, and you are on your way. I recommend always checking the bag before you leave just to make sure everything is there and as ordered. read more

I've been here a few times and it does get really busy. The food is good, but they almost always forget something in my order--especially the sauces, which is frustrating because we pay extra for them. Also, I'm not sure how they handle the self-checkout orders, but it would really help if they called out orders when they're ready. There's often a lot of food just sitting on the counter, and it's confusing trying to figure out what's yours. Food is pretty good. I like the fries and i can order my burger how i want. There are other options besides a hamburger like a chicken, tuna... a salad nice selection. What is irritating is... the cooks ONLY speak Spanish.. so if there is a special order, it kinda gets lost in translation. Also.. be aware they will put half a jar of mayo on ... no one eats that much mayo. Irritating as can be to watch the manager flirting w his female cashiers and getting physically close to them. Not sure why they would do that in view of customers. Also.. this manager allows staff to get a cup and help themselves to soda.. i have to pay almost $4 for one. Shouldnt be allowed. I went on my break from school at CSUF, when I arrive the store isn't too busy and I ordered a grilled cheese and fries. I placed my order at 2:23 and waited 30 minutes for my food, and none of the staff had any sense of urgency. When I approached the staff they said they didn't have my order in the system, while I watched my fries sit on the counter for 15 minutes getting cold. Once I received my food I didn't even bother asking for new ones because I was going to be late for class, only reason this isn't getting a 1 star is because they offered me a free drink. Hi my husband and I returned to our usual Habit Burgers in Fullerton. I have always enjoyed your cheeseburger and a double for my husband plus onion rings and drinks. We always have loved the habit for a yummy fresh choice for burgers and salads. They have the order on the app inside the restaurant so we chose to do that, although nobody was ahead of us in line. However, today it was an overall bad experience. I ordered a kids grilled cheese and sweet potato fries for my son, and they majorly overcooked the bread and gave me onion rings instead of fries, they never have messed up my order before. I also ordered a Santa Barbara char and a chicken club sandwich and Caesar salad. They all tasted completely off and just something not right. The salad was not as fresh as it normally is, the chicken on the sandwich was not tasty and the burger on the Santa Barbara my husband said did not taste good. Our entire order took about 30 min to receive which felt long. The kitchen seemed a bit in disarray as we heard them trying to catch up on orders. And like I said it wasn't too busy when we were inside for dinner. Overall I was disappointed it wasn't on par with every other experience I have had here and it made me not want to come back to this location any time soon. Bummer read more

I visited this location of the Habit quite frequently when I was in college. It's conveniently located across the street from Cal State Fullerton. Their charburger, teriyaki charburger,chicken club, fries, and iced tea are all delicious. The service is friendly too. The only reason i'm giving this place 2 stars instead of one is because the food was decent the last time I went. The service was horrible. Today I walked into the restaurant, the first thing I hear is the filipino lady working at the front talking about bad customers. This should've been my red flag to leave, but I was just trying to get a cup before I went back home. I told her I was willing to pay for the cup and she kept questioning me. Asking me what I needed the cup for and told me I need to be a paid customer to grab a cup. Mind you I had offered to pay for the cup. Since I needed to pay for an item in order to get a cup, I told her i'd buy an ice cream cone. She continued to question me further and I told her the reason why I wanted the cup. She continues to say, I was gonna give you this cup if you were gonna use it in the establishment, not take it home. Can I not take home or buy cups? Very unprofessional and rude customer service. If you order take out, and you have ordered Avocado or anything as Add On, MAKE SURE they have put it all in the bag. Once you've gotten back home and figure out they forgot something, there's no easy way to get ahold of them, and if you pay someone to do the pickup, you'd have to pay them again to go back and get the missing item(s)! Day after does no good since the store says they can't refund from Online orders. You can't call them since there's no store phone listed on site or Yelp. So. This is my go to habit spot and it annoys me to even give this place 2 stars. Why? Food has always been dope and I've never had a problem with it. This time around it's more of a personnel issue: how is Armando working at light speed running the entire front by himself and the dude in the button up dark blue going to show up slower than a dmv clerk going over things Armando already took care of. I made sure to notice his name tag to give the kudos to one person and 6/5 stars if it's an individual is being rated... but the manager dude in the darker button up is as fast as to match me rolling around on the floor. I am surprised that I have never written a review for this location. Pre-COVID, this plaza was the busiest... and now during COVID, it is sad to see that only 3 restaurants remain out of about 7. CHARBURGER Crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, caramelized onions, pickles, and mayo on a toasted bun. TEMPURA GREEN BEANS Customers order inside the restaurant but wait outside with the pager. There are stickers on the sidewalk to note 6' apart but other than that, there isn't much space to stand if there is a long line to order. Yesterday when I was here at this location, there was only 1 party ahead of me, and 2 parties after me. The Charburger with Cheese and the Tempura Green Beans were both delicious and I enjoyed my meal. I could taste the quality of the meat in the burger, way better than a fast food restaurant. I do wish that they did not place napkins right on top of the Tempura Green Beans because all my napkins were soaked with oil. Service was good and the staff were all very friendly. Parking was a plenty since the plaza has only 3 occupied storefronts. My usual go-to order is the Santa Barbara Char at the other locations, but I have not yet tried it at this location. My first time at this location I was the only one here. Even though I never had them I was really craving their chicken bites and wanted to try their green beans. They gave me a pager and I had to wait outside. They gave me my food in less than 10 minutes and I asked for one ranch and one bbq and they gave two bbq and I was VERY happy since I am a sauce kind of girl. I ordered the 10 chicken bites and the green beans and total was $10, not too bad for what felt like an appetizer. The chicken bites were very crispy and good sized, I felt like they tasted if they were from a typical diner place or restaurant like chili's or TGIF. I could if ordered the 6 piece instead since I was getting full at chicken bite number 5. The green beans were at the bottom of the bag and only had napkins covering them which soaked up oil and couldn't use my napkins. They were crunchy but a bit salty and only I had to dunk them in ranch and then the saltiness went away. If I'm ever craving chicken bites and green beans as a snack I would get them again but would want to try other items before I go back to these. read more
