I'm not usually a Habit guy but this was my first time in 5+ years coming here. I was throughly impressed by the quality at this location. I ordered a cheese burger ($8) and it was great. Meat patties here are bigger than In-n-Out. Also ordered onion rings which were perfectly fried. BBQ sauce was excellent as well. The chili bar is also a nice touch. Overall the experience felt cleaner and less chaotic than In-n-Out. Bathrooms were also clean. Can't believe I'm saying this but I'll be back. -1 star because parking at this lot on a Sunday afternoon was horrendous. Placed an order through The Habit Burger Grill app, and the order was ready on time, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the customer service at pickup was disappointing. When I walked in and mentioned that I had placed an order through the app, the staff member just pointed at the pickup rack without saying anything. It came across as rude and unwelcoming. I ordered the Double Char with cheese. It was good. I can see myself ordering again if I'm in the area Overall, I would have given this location 4 stars, but the poor customer service brought it down to 3. A simple greeting or friendly acknowledgment would have made a big difference. read more

I placed an order through Uber Eats for 16 basic charburgers, no changes, the night before I needed them to feed a job site crew. They were to be delivered at 10:45 am. 5 minutes before they were supposed to arrive, Habit sent a message saying they were too busy to process my order. They left me high and dry at the last minute with no lunch for my guys. I will never order from any Habit EVER!! read more

I decided to have my takeout order inside the restaurant, in the middle of my meal I realized my cheeseburger came without cheese. When I went to notify the kitchen staff, a manager named Pedro that was sitting at a table on break walked over and gave us a hard time. He demanded to see the receipt on the bag while saying that no charburger comes with cheese. We said that we are aware which is why we added cheese and showed the receipt and online order receipt that stated add cheese. Pedro asked if I wanted a slice of cheese then ran over to yell at the kitchen staff to remake the burger. The staff that brought the cheeseburger over was sweet and apologetic, meanwhile Pedro was yelling at someone else in the front of the store about paying cash or not and that he was on break. I couldn't tell if he was yelling at staff or a customer, but this entire experience made me very uncomfortable and I felt sorry for the staff that is forced to work with such an unprofessional manager. I hope that Pedro is held accountable for his demeanor with staff and customers. read more

I usually grab food from Habit Burger once or twice a month and it is always good. This time I just got a charburger but the Santa Barbara char is one of my favorites also. My girlfriend usually gets the veggie burger with cheese. This is one of the few fast food places that has tempura green beans as a side. They are delicious and have a lot less calories than most of the other sides (excluding any sauces you may add). Since I live only a few blocks away from this location, I almost always use the phone app to order ahead for pickup so I don't have to waste any time waiting in line to order or sitting around waiting for the food to be prepared. They also offer a free charburger the first time you use the app to place an order. There are shelves by the entrance for pick-up and DoorDash/Uber orders, so you just walk in, grab your bag, and you are on your way. I recommend always checking the bag before you leave just to make sure everything is there and as ordered. read more

I've been here a few times and it does get really busy. The food is good, but they almost always forget something in my order--especially the sauces, which is frustrating because we pay extra for them. Also, I'm not sure how they handle the self-checkout orders, but it would really help if they called out orders when they're ready. There's often a lot of food just sitting on the counter, and it's confusing trying to figure out what's yours. Hoping they can improve the organization because the potential is definitely there. read more

Food is pretty good. I like the fries and i can order my burger how i want. There are other options besides a hamburger like a chicken, tuna... a salad nice selection. What is irritating is... the cooks ONLY speak Spanish.. so if there is a special order, it kinda gets lost in translation. Also.. be aware they will put half a jar of mayo on ... no one eats that much mayo. Irritating as can be to watch the manager flirting w his female cashiers and getting physically close to them. Not sure why they would do that in view of customers. Also.. this manager allows staff to get a cup and help themselves to soda.. i have to pay almost $4 for one. Shouldnt be allowed. Lastly, came here and really wanted the fries and a burger HOWEVER a crudely written sign said "Cash and coupon only"... not sure why the card system is down but usually thats fixable w a phone call.. wild they would neglect to fix it. Just ordered $110.00 worth of meals for my out of state family. The salads were gross, lettuce was wilted, the chicken was ok! The burgers tasted like frozen from Costco! The only decent meal was the crispy chicken sandwich. Won't be eating there again. read more

I went on my break from school at CSUF, when I arrive the store isn't too busy and I ordered a grilled cheese and fries. I placed my order at 2:23 and waited 30 minutes for my food, and none of the staff had any sense of urgency. When I approached the staff they said they didn't have my order in the system, while I watched my fries sit on the counter for 15 minutes getting cold. Once I received my food I didn't even bother asking for new ones because I was going to be late for class, only reason this isn't getting a 1 star is because they offered me a free drink. We always have loved the habit for a yummy fresh choice for burgers and salads. They have the order on the app inside the restaurant so we chose to do that, although nobody was ahead of us in line. However, today it was an overall bad experience. I ordered a kids grilled cheese and sweet potato fries for my son, and they majorly overcooked the bread and gave me onion rings instead of fries, they never have messed up my order before. I also ordered a Santa Barbara char and a chicken club sandwich and Caesar salad. They all tasted completely off and just something not right. The salad was not as fresh as it normally is, the chicken on the sandwich was not tasty and the burger on the Santa Barbara my husband said did not taste good. Our entire order took about 30 min to receive which felt long. The kitchen seemed a bit in disarray as we heard them trying to catch up on orders. And like I said it wasn't too busy when we were inside for dinner. Overall I was disappointed it wasn't on par with every other experience I have had here and it made me not want to come back to this location any time soon. Bummer read more

I visited this location of the Habit quite frequently when I was in college. It's conveniently located across the street from Cal State Fullerton. Their charburger, teriyaki charburger,chicken club, fries, and iced tea are all delicious. The service is friendly too. You can for a side of ranch too which they do for free and it tastes great with their fries. read more

The only reason i'm giving this place 2 stars instead of one is because the food was decent the last time I went. The service was horrible. Today I walked into the restaurant, the first thing I hear is the filipino lady working at the front talking about bad customers. This should've been my red flag to leave, but I was just trying to get a cup before I went back home. I told her I was willing to pay for the cup and she kept questioning me. Asking me what I needed the cup for and told me I need to be a paid customer to grab a cup. Mind you I had offered to pay for the cup. Since I needed to pay for an item in order to get a cup, I told her i'd buy an ice cream cone. She continued to question me further and I told her the reason why I wanted the cup. They reached out and didn't follow up UNTIL after I contacted them again regarding the food poisoning, and about not receiving any follow up from them. They then proceeded to ask me the time, day and if I'm feeling better today. OBVIOUSLY it's been a month, am I suppose to still be vomiting a month later? So. This is my go to habit spot and it annoys me to even give this place 2 stars. Why? Food has always been dope and I've never had a problem with it. This time around it's more of a personnel issue: how is Armando working at light speed running the entire front by himself and the dude in the button up dark blue going to show up slower than a dmv clerk going over things Armando already took care of. I made sure to notice his name tag to give the kudos to one person and 6/5 stars if it's an individual is being rated... but the manager dude in the darker button up is as fast as to match me rolling around on the floor. That's something because I'm a big guy. Just frustrated here. But the line out the door to the Marriott might as well be as frustrated. read more
