It says "free coffee everyday..." but the manager couldn't help me
    Brent O.

Went today after my son's soccer game, knowing what we were in for as far as food. In terms of quality, it was the same as normal. However, my wife ordered a burrito with no tomatoes, half way through she found at least six pieces of tomato. Luckily, it's a dislike, rather than an allergy. We also saw a sign for free coffee in the app. I asked the manager and he said check the app, but he couldn't help me.

They advertise being open until 1:00AM but I drove across town to pick up food and they were closed early. It was about 12:48 and they told me they were closed. Luckily In-N-Out next door would never do this to their customers.

I tapped [Save] and she claimed I did not.

In addition to burritos, I ordered the mini cheese quesadilla offered for free on the app (with $3 purchase). She claimed I did not order. Yet I have a screenshot of the item. Jennifer (drive up window) REFUSED to let me talk to anyone else. REFUSED to give me receipt and would not give me phone for area manager. At least three cars stacked up behind me, honking horns for slow service. She still refused any sort of correction. NOT EVEN A RECEIPT! I suspect this could be how employees get free food. I can see why their ratings are so low! UPDATE: I got the receipt by email later and called the phone number indicated "for order issues." It goes directly to a fax machine. I'm definitely sorry I went there. Lesson learned!

I placed an order on the app yesterday and selected pickup from the app. When we arrived and walked inside the door we were told by an employee holding the door open to the kitchen and eating something, "the dining area was closed due to a thanksgiving party and to use the drive through". He was not polite about it. Can the app not allow pickup if it's not available? Maybe lock the doors and post a note at the door so customers will know?

    Chili cheese fries

$5.49 for half full fries with a tiny scoop of chili and some cheese. They were hit and tasted good but I'd expect to get a little more chili on the fries.

Well, I have to confess that there are certain kinds of junk food that I have a weakness for... And Del Taco is one of them. Yes, I know that you all know that I traffic and roll in the gutter and mud by walking in to places like this. But I like their hot sauce, and their beans are actually kind of tasty. For the cheapest kind of nibble when I need the nibble on something, Del Taco is one place I will stop. Today My visit yielded a somewhat undersized bean and cheese burrito. The snack size tacos were pretty typical. The staff was fairly typical and possibly indifferent... But that's okay. Everything was as it typically is, and since I like the place it gets three stars. Two stars because it's just perfectly typical and almost could be ranked lower because my burrito was slightly undersized. But I really don't think it deserves one star, and it doesn't really deserve three stars... So 2 It shall be

Carlos at Del Taco, definitely changed my experience. Last time I went it wasn't the best but today. Hands down I was attended to like a champ. Thank you Carlos for taking my order and making me feel welcomed. My order was correct, food is fresh with lettuce tomato cheese delicious. Thanks Del Taco for the great service in Moorpark.

Employee making food without gloves. Food making should be wearing gloves. She was touching dirty handles and then making food

When making food should be wearing gloves at all times. Very disappointed in the manager working there not saying anything when the manager was making food with gloves. Very poor management do not go to this del Taco you may get sick.

Missing green sauce and my paid for sour cream
    Erika B.

So simple bean and cheese. Then they offer 2 choices, green or red sauce. I ordered the green sause with sour cream. I get only bean and cheese, NO GREEN SAUCE AND NO SOUR CREAM WHICH I PAID FOR ON EACH BURRITO. This is fn annoying. Every time I go here it is something. They dont give napkins, straws. Leave the lids off the sodas

Sorry TB, Del Taco needed me tonight.

I came here to try out California Bun, an eatery that has harnessed an interesting (long overdue) concept, to package portable food. Here they prepare snack sized bites (or a little more) of favorite food fancies, enveloped in a daily fresh baked round brioche bun. The store is high ceiling, spacious and large, with ample space to dine in or carry out. It is a mom and pop joint, that is slowly but surely, beginning to make a mark. On the main wall, elegantly displayed, are all the many enticing varieties, for the day. My visit was designed to take something to go. The conundrum here is, what to order, because there were so many inviting choices that were talking to you. I finally decided to select three of these evenly browned and differently topped buns. The El Sabroso (Egg, cheddar & jack cheese, bacon & Jalapeno salsa, garnished with Cheese, bacon & jalapeño). The Roadside Burger (Seasoned ground beef, grilled onions, white American cheese, & secret house burger sauce, garnished with Cheese & bacon). The Mac Daddy (Creamy mac and cheese with a cheddar, jack, and parmesan cheese blend, garnished with Panko bread crumbs). So whats the verdict? The Mac Daddy was my least favorite. In comparing the other two, the Roadside Burger seemed to have the higher of (inside filling/inside bread) ratio, as compared to the El Sabroso. However, the latter is the most attractive bun on the outside and overall, contains a good mix of flavors and slight kick. Any food with a visible Jalapeño is a magnet, for me. Still, this concoction needs more of the egg mixture, to achieve the right balance. In general, all 3 buns were soft, had a nice texture, bread taste and chew. Service here is warm, inviting, friendly and informative.

The pastrami burger and onion rings were the highlights for me. The onion rings were super crispy with a nice, light batter. The burger hit the spot too. I ordered the pastrami dip, and this is how it's supposed to be done. Not dry, not chewy, not some sad excuse for deli meat. This was juicy, tender, stacked high, and absolutely dripping with flavor. Every bite hits hard--rich, savory, and perfectly balanced. And the bread? Holds together like it actually wants to be part of the sandwich, not fall apart halfway through like a soggy mess. Now let's talk about the onion rings... because this is where they flex. You order a "large," and instead of some tiny portion pretending to be generous, they hand you a brown paper bag absolutely PACKED with crispy, golden onion rings. Not greasy, not limp--crunchy, hot, and seasoned properly. This is what a large is supposed to look like. Other places should be embarrassed. And the service? Fast, efficient, no nonsense. No attitude, no confusion, no standing around wondering what's going on. These people know exactly what they're doing. Orders come out quick, everything's hot, and the whole operation runs like a machine. That's how you handle volume without sacrificing quality--something a lot of places clearly can't figure out. No gimmicks. No trendy nonsense. No tiny portions dressed up to look fancy. Just big, bold, properly executed food that actually delivers on what it promises. Meanwhile, other spots are out here charging double for half the portion and calling it "premium." Stop it. This is the standard. Bottom line: If you want a real pastrami sandwich, real portions, and service that actually keeps up--go to The Hat. If not, go waste your money somewhere else. I'll be back. And next time, I'm getting another bag of those onion rings--because clearly, one isn't enough.

My wife ordered a little different, as well. While she got the steak plate, side salad and rice with a pork wonton side, I ordered the Steak veggie bowl with extra steak to compensate for the thin slices. Additionally, I also wanted sides of the wild salmon, two sides of shrimp, and two - half avocados with no rice. Both our meals were based / seasoned in the House WaBa ( Teriyaki ) sauce. Her steak was tender, tangy, and plentiful, while the rice had a soft, moist texture. My steak echoed my wife's flavour profile with the addition of the vegetables which had a nice, fresh healthy crispiness. My salmon had a flaky and delicate texture flavoured only by the house's thick, sweet and tangy WaBa sauce. Loved that the shrimp were quite large and seemed marinated in a sweet soy touched with a hint of garlic. Ending my meal were a couple half slices of fresh and creamy avocado. This was so good that it just may become my main staple every couple weeks. So glad WaBa Grill offers separate side protein plates that one may add to their order. It really made the difference tonight !! The staff are also so willing to make every visit a great experience! This location is nice and clean and always having a lovely aroma about it . The reviews were quite solid so we thought this would be an outstanding place to eat - and we were not disappointed. We arrived before 10am and the small, nondescript family-owned spot in a retail strip mall was about half full. Right away, you could smell some amazing, authentic Mexican spices in the air. We were seated quickly by the friendly young woman. The service was very efficient from the start. After looking over the menu, my girlfriend and I were drawn to starting with some amazing Cafe de Olla in these great, authentic colorful ceramic mugs. I opted for Grandma's Chile Verde (Pork cooked in green tomatillo sauce, poblano chilis and Swiss Cheese with the option to add fruit, tarot tots, hash browns and/or egg whites. Served with corn or flour tortillas). My girlfriend went with the other option I was interested in: Chilaquiles Asada Burrito (Carne Asada, chilaquiles, guacamole, queso fresco, sour cream and black beans, served with the aforementioned breakfast sides). Our food was delivered hot and fast within 10 minutes. Right away, the freshly-prepared entrees looked amazingly eye-catching. The first bites of my slow cooked pork were outstanding. Fall off the fork juicy, each bite was filled with amazing spices and flavor combinations that any abuelita would be proud of. The hash browns were also soft on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside. The egg whites and corn tortillas were a nice touch to make my breakfast fulfilling. My girlfriend's burrito was five-star, excellence. I was able to snag a few bites and the carne asada, like my pork, was tender, moist and delicious. The flavor depth of the chilaquiles sauce was simply out of this word. Amazing. Overall, this place is a home run. By 11am, the place was filled with a small line of people outside waiting. With limited hours, daily until 2pm, you'll want to grab a spot early at one of the tables inside or small number of seats outside quickly. The staff rotated and checked on our table at least six times, making sure the food was tasty and the Cafe de Olla refills hot and fresh. Plenty of parking in the strip mall out front, with one gender neutral bathroom in the back (which was clean). Overall, Jarro's offers up some of the best Mexican classics for breakfast in the area, and the service is top notch. The prices are all quite reasonable for the quantity and quality of items. The menu also offers up some more traditional American breakfast options (pancakes, waffles etc), but my recommendation is to try the Mexican classics. The spices and flavors will make your corazon happy.
