I've been coming here since 2003. I mostly use their drive thru but I've dined inside the restaurant. Food Nothing special. Average as any franchise but the food is served hot and less than 10 minutes. Sometimes a little too salty. Prices are always cheap so you can buy a lot on a low budget. Building Interior & exterior is usually clean. Their menu is easy to read. Staff Most of the people that I've interacted with are friendly & helpful. Drive Thru 80% it is very efficient. This Dell taco sucks I had the worst experience I went through the drive-through and ordered what I wanted for my family looked in the bag and realized I didn't have anything that I ordered in it so I went inside to try to fix it and no one acknowledged me for a solid five minutes then when they did I waited another 10 minutes inside the store to get my right meal and that never happened so I ended up walking out and as I was in there waiting to girls were fighting over which orders which and I still didn't get the food that I had placed. I get that they have a right to close the dining room. No other restaurants in Moorpark, to my knowledge, have done this at this time (August 2021), but fine, close the dining room. But if you are going to do that, please remove the large sign in the window that says the dining room is now open. Also, even though you have a paper sign on the small front entrance stating that the dining room is closed, there is nothing at all posted on the main side entrance. Very annoying. Absolutely terrible Del Taco in my opinion. There was a line of about 50 people at in-in-out, I decided to go to Del Taco. I am literally the only car in the drive-thru, I place my order and they re-read it to me - Asada fries with a chicken quesadilla. Awesome! I get home and find out ... ITS A CHEESE QUESADILLA ! How in the world do you mess up an order for the ONE and only SOLE customer in your drive thru? HAHA! So either the whole staff is high on marijuana and farting around doing nothing in their dying restaurant, OR they gave me an already old - sitting cheese quesadilla that was made possibly hours ago on purpose? Suggestion, hire people with brains. Being vegan is hard so we were excited when the beyond meat alternative became part of the menu. Note: Vegan = no animal by products So we go in to order and tell the cashier we want beyond avacado tacos because the avacado ones do not have cheese on them. She then keys in and repeats back that we want beyond tacos. No, we correct her we want the avacado tacos because we do not eat cheese and the regular ones have cheese. Ok she says so you want the beyond tacos. NO STUPID LISTEN, we do not want cheese on our food, we are ordering an entirely different menu item. She looks confused. She goes to the kitchen where they have already started preparing the incorrect food order and the cooks take what they made and put it to the side and start over. We get home and this dummy only got half of the tacos right. Half with cheese (entirely different menu item) and half with avacado and no cheese as ordered. This is the equvalence of ordering a chicken taco and getting a value taco THEYRE TOTALLY DIFFERENT ITEMS Teach your employees the menu, LISTEN to your customers and if they say no fucking cheese dont give them food covered in cheese. Went there today to get a simple bean and cheese burrito with added tomato and sour cream and the cashier just straight up refused to do it. Saying they have nothing like that. And tried to get me to order a more expensive burrito just to take the meat out.. They were very rude and unprofessional. This is the slowest place I have ever been too and they aren't even busy. Place my order at 7:07pm finally got my order at 7:30pm. That is insane especially when there are 4 people making food. They all looked like they were walking around like chickens with their heads cut off. When asked why it is taking too long, the guy behind the counter stated we all had big orders, well I can tell you that none of us had big orders because I saw what we all ordered. They need to train their staff better or make them more sufficient at their jobs. They also need to train their employees about working with food and money. If you handle food, you wash your hands and put on gloves after handling money/credit cards. This place does not and it is very unsanitary. I don't think i will come back! Surprised face all around! First surprise I will mention: that someone has actually written a review on Del Taco in Moorpark. Second surprise: Dude Del Taco is good!!! I have really really had a craving for some Taco Bell tacos. (No I can't leave the office today to indulge in the free taco offer from the World Series). The only place around the pool hall is Del Taco, so we did drive through. They didn't really have any "meals" similar to Taco Bell, so I got a shredded beef tacos. It came with fries (kind of odd, but they are the crinkly kind that I love) and the tacos were wrapped in foil. Very similar to a taco truck! The taco itself, was moist and delicious. I loved it...it's a great option for drive through and I'm really impressed with Del Tacos revamped quality of food. Yet another food option during pool nights out in Moorpark. Yay! read more

Last night I went through the drive through at del taco in moorpark and when I un wrapped my spicey jack quesadilla one over their markers they write the special orders on the wrappers with fell into my lap. I have gone to this del taco on multiple occasions because it is near my work and the quality of there food is never that good but this is rediculous. I am now wondering what else may have fallen into my food withou them noticing. If somethng so large could go unnoticed I can only imagine what small things have dropped in food there. This location is largely very good. They employ a lot of young people who do an excellent job. That being said there is a middle age Hispanic lady, who I believe is a manager who can't put her phone down long enough to do her job. Same every time...she takes your order but then has no idea what it was because she's not listening, she's on Facebook or whatever. At 3pm 1/12 it happened again. when I asked her name, she refused to give it to me and slammed the drive thru windw on me when I politely suggested she pay attention to her job not her phone. Awesome fish tacos!! Breaded and deep fried with pico and cabbage on top! I order mine with flour shells, but they normally come on corn shells. Their fries are one of my all time favorites too. The only thing on the menu at Del Taco that I don't like is their ground beef tacos, or anything made with their ground beef. Quick food, good prices, satisfying. read more
