I've never been able to purchase a Tostada that looked anywhere near the one on the menu during my last 3 visits. I keep ordering and requesting a refund after opening the Tostada box. Tostada has an adequate amount of refries, a little lettuce and a pinch of what looks like powdered cheddar. It looks terrible. I don't know if the manager has instructed the cook to put the bare minimum ingredients on the tostada OR the cook is incompetent. Bottom line, DO NOT order a Tostada at this location. I read all the minus comments soI thought I should give them a try. Plus I had a coupon so I figured my loss would be minimal. Went inside and was promptly greeted by the person at the register. I gave her the coupon and told her what I wanted which was the stuffed quesadillas. She asked if I wanted chicken or beef. With my blue eyes she deducted I did not speak Spanish. I told her one of each. There was hardly any wait and I was quickly on my way home to devour my prize. They were excellent.Went back a few days later and ordered some tacos. This time I had to order at the drive thru as there was only the cashier and the cook there. Got my tacos and went home again and devoured them. It's normally a good experience until today. I went at 1:30pm on 6/10/24 and ordered 2 shakes. The girl working the drive thru paused before responding with "we don't have shakes today". Which is ridiculous to believe when it's mid day and they have a new shake advertised. Her tone and slow response just tells me she was lazy and didn't want to make the shakes. This del Taco location could be better. Ordered Del Carbon chicken tacos and that tortillas had burn marks, chicken was dry and just above room temp. I didn't really trust eating it almost cold. Haven't recieved food yet I am typing after ordering. Will update after I get home. Don't bother walking in unless you like staring and waiting around. Stood here for 10 minutes while no one acknowledged me. Cars get served first and 2 separate people saw me and said nothing except "one moment" after I'd been standing there forever. you can hear people in the back chatting it up about non work related things. Finally the person at the drive thru walked up to take my order.... *UPDATE* so got the food... never got a receipt so I couldn't tell you the actual price difference in meals but this is but I'm pretty sure they were like the same price 2 breakfast combos and an order of donuts was like 15 something. 15 for something the size of their snackers roll up things flattened out. . . Don't buy these knock off crunch wrap things there is no crispyness to them except maybe old tortilla staleness. Another false advertising claim! The online menu for a Breakfast Burrito looked pretty good. I ordered that and Hash Brown sticks at the drive thru around 6:45am. The server handed the bag to me and it seemed pretty light in weight. There was a wrapped tortilla in the bag, but it didn't look anything like the picture. When I got home, I check the online ad again. The Bacon Breakfast Burrito is supposed to weight 252 grams. The one I got weighted 146 grams. I took the burrito back to Del Taco and told them it has basically half the size of the ad....give me another one, por favor. They gave me another one and it was the same size. The female manager said "some are smaller". I asked for a refund on the entire order and got it. I had a similar incident happen at a Pizza Hut months ago. After a Yelp complaint, I got a coupon for ANY pizza I wanted, which I gave to my lawn man. If you get ripped off, don't take it! Complain in written form on Yelp. read more

I'm shocked to see these reviews. 2.0 stars? I notice a lot of them talk about the wait at night. If you're coming here after the bar at night then yeah, you might have to wait. Welcome to every fast food restaurant. Interesting how this place does get a lot of younger traffic at night who probably rates them bad in the moment. Anyway, I've been coming here for 30 years and this is the best Del around. The only other rival is the one in Los Banos up north. Is everything absolutely perfect every single time? No, it's a fast food restaurant. But it's consistently much better than others and they always get your order right. I would go as far as to say it's perfect most of the time. It's Del. You're full for less than $10 which is hard to do these days. The vegetables look as fresh as can be expected. The meat is what you'd expect. The beans are beans - sitting there for 5 minutes or 25 minutes. (This place is busy so not longer.) The new remodel looks great. I think the reviews of this place are a prime example of why not to trust reviews so much. read more

Haven't eaten Del taco in decades so I was excited about trying it again! Thought I'd go to the one on seal Beach Boulevard and Westminster that way it would be hotter by the time I got home which was close. Drive-through was a little long so went inside and ordered. It was a Thursday so I ordered the three chicken tacos special, and a couple of bean burritos with red sauce. Got my food made sure it was all there and it was. Opened up my burrito took a bite of the flour tortilla was super hard. It felt like there was no Beans in the bean burrito.??! Weird Very cheapy! Lol when I got home I finished the rest including the chicken tacos and they were cheapy as well!! None of it was even warm and had barely nothing in the burrito or tacos. I won't return to this Del Taco taco ever and I suggest that you try another Dell taco as well! Hope this helps! So we made the mistake of trying this location again. This time is cost me. I had a chicken soft taco and fries. It was late, we got food on a whim, and I will regret it deeply forever. The chicken was mushy and cold. I somehow knew I would be sick after eating this garbage. The fries were hard and cold. Not edible. But they always are so no shock there. That night i became violently ill and couldn't get away from the toilet for 3 days. On the 4th day my side started hurting and now I have an infection in my intestine that requires antibiotics and special diet to get rid of it. Thanks del taco for the food poisoning and now dr visits. Sent me to urgent care. WT actual F. They should be shut down. I should be smarter than this. I don't know how they're allowed to continue selling tainted food. They don't make anything fresh. They may make it when it's ordered but it's far from fresh. The fries obviously sit there all day under a warmer and the meat must be kept for weeks until it's all used. It's the grossest most unsafe place ever. Although the food was the way that I ordered it it was a sad excuse for food barely anything in them pretty much just the empty taco shell. But I think what speaks volumes about the quality of this location is the fact that my flip flops were literally sticking to the floor so much so that it was actually ripping them off my feet.
