    Steak California Bowl
    Lorena G.

I saw this place trending on Instagram and wanted to give it a try. I was honestly expecting the bowl the influencer posted, but it was much smaller than I anticipated. The steak was good, but overall the food lacked flavor. It was quite a drive for me to get there, and personally, I'd rather go to Chipotle. The service was great, though, and they give you a free bag of chips, which was a nice touch. The sauce bar also has some great options. Overall, it just wasn't my favorite but was great for the photos.

Cane asada burrito was good. Doulble beans no rice . Delicious. Just wish it was a little bigger. Will come back

Came here on a whim as the wife has been talking about it. The place is small but mighty. It was VERY busy for 7:30pm on a Thursday. It's got a lot of seating for how small it is inside and outside. As well as three tv's to watch the sports games they have playing. They offer a decent amount of options, along with a soda fountain, and plenty of bottled beer to choose from. One negative for me is it is a Pepsi establishment. They do offer Coke and Diet Coke though in the beverage cooler. We ordered the asada burrito, along with the enchiladas plate, and a Cajun fish taco. We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures before we started eating. I can tell you this though. I was delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. The food came out quickly and piping hot. My favorite was the Cajun fish taco. Super fresh, and great flavor with a zip. Come here hungry, because the portions are good sizes. The burritos are huge and would probably feed two people no problem depending on how much you eat. The red sauce is way better than the green in my opinion. You can't go wrong with either one though. We are definitely going to go back to try the breakfast options, as well as on the days they have specials. Like the bean and cheese burritos for 5 bucks on Mondays! I definitely recommend this place if you're hungry for delicious food and friendly service.

I know what you're thinking. Overhyped, pricey, all talk on social media. WELL THATS NOT THE CASE HERE. We were driving back to OC from visiting LA and made it a point to stop here since it's a bit out of the way from mid oc. Unassuming from the outside and a bit quiet inside as well, we were scared it was just a fad on social media. A one and done if you will. We showed the cashier (friendly and patient) the Instagram post with the nachos we wanted to order and also picked something we hadn't seen online. In a few minutes a waiter came out with the biggest, most loaded nachos I'd ever seen. As a nacho lover, I immediately thought of writing this into my funeral checklist. The torta that came out was indeed TORTA sized. The salsa bar had pico and jalapeños to add onto the nachos. Alls to say- come here. Show them the picture. more on ig: socalyumiez

Stopped in on the way home to check out their taco Tuesday menu. Place was clean, employees very friendly and the service was very fast. I wasn't that hungry, but was eager to try their tacos. I ordered a carnitas taco and a chicken taco. There's several other good choices too. The cost was $3.25 a taco and I have to say, they were very fresh, good quality, and generous portions. I am excited to go back with others and try a variety of dishes.

Had the carnitas nachos delivered. Did not disappoint. So good, lots of cheese and meat. They packaged the salsa, sour cream and guacamole separately, which was a good thing. I would definitely order this again. Portion was generous.

Omg, get the nachos! We came hungry and left satisfied. We got the carne asada nachos with guacamole and sour cream on the side. There's just so much food, enough for two. The beans and meat are literally buried under all that cheese. Delicious!

I saw this place on TikTok a few times over the past year so when I saw it was down the street from an event we were at, I decided to try it out. We started with the Meat Nachos with Carne Asada (amazing 5/5 - huge portion with generous amounts of cheese, guacamole and sour cream). Next we tried the Queso Birria Tacos (4/5 - good flavor, great consome). Last, we tried the Enchilada Plate (4/5 - good green sauce with excellent black beans and rice). Overall good experience and would come back to try more items from the menu.

Visited on a weeknight for dinner. The place looked pretty busy. I got the fish burrito. I would give it 3/5, the tortilla breaks easily and the fish was a bit bland imo but might just be preference. I would say though that the burrito is on the healthier side.cashier and servers were friendly and place looked clean. Parking was easy.

Came here recently with my whole family and we all enjoyed it! The inside is very nice and clean-good vibe-and they had outdoor patio seating as well! Service did not take long at all. I tried the Cajun fish Taco combo. Just an fyi; the combo means the tacos + the rice and beans. It doesn't come with a drink- you have to order that separately if you want one. But I thought the tacos tasted really good and so did the rice and beans. My family ordered the carne asada plates as well as the breaded fish tacos. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Everything tasted really fresh and I felt like it was the perfect amount. They also have a self serve salsa bar so that's always convenient!

I had a great time here! I kept seeing them pop up on my phone so i made the drive to check them out. I'm a big fan of steak nachos and these guys make it really good! It comes with melted cheese, steak, sour cream, guacamole, beans with chips! Very good! Just wish they added a bit more asada to it. Maybe next time i will ask for a side of asada but overall, i was happy with it. They have beers, a self-serve fountain soda machine and other drinks behind the counter. They have a salsa bar with 4 types of salsas, onions, peppers, limes. It's located in a little strip mall with 4 other shops. They have a taco tuesday special. They have outside seating as well. Customer service was good. Yes, i will be back again! They have soo many good options i still want to try. Check this place out. Food Rating Steak nachos 9.0\10 they were fire!

Still boycotting this place. While out requesting support for St Isadore Historical Plaza, was given the run around. Requested a small gift card or similar for prizes for Dia De Los Muertos, counter person stated," owners wasn't here so they could do anything, oh owners just left, oh owners us on vacation..." So I back THREE TIME! For a lousy gift card! To support a predominantly Mexican activity! Honestly?!? You can't support Dia de Los Muertos! It's a Mexican holiday! You're a Mexican restaurant, correct?!? Never got any support. WTH! Just an FYI to all the Los Al, Seal Beach, Cypress resident who patronize this place. They don't even support their cultural heritage. Such a shame...

I have seen this place in social media and have put it on my must try once I seen the nachos! The nachos I got were such a great portion and had plenty of cheese and steak bits. I also tried their shrimp tacos which were great. The location is in a small strip mall with other stores and restaurants but it was the only Mexican food spot I saw. I would definitely come back to try other food items especially since their breakfast items already have caught my attention. The staff were friendly and were not too busy which made the food come out in a decent manner.

Upon arrival, we were informed that the prime rib was only available during Father's Day weekend. It would have been nice if that little detail had been mentioned in the post that inspired the trip. Since we were already there and starving, we decided to stay. Mistake #1. The medium rare top sirloin arrived looking like it had lost a fight with a blowtorch. It was so overcooked and rubbery that we couldn't finish it. We brought the leftovers home thinking at least our dog would enjoy it. She sniffed it and walked away. For anyone who has ever owned a dog, you understand how impressive that is. The meatloaf somehow managed to transport me back to my hospital room after my appendectomy. If you've ever wondered what institutional cafeteria food tastes like with a side of disappointment, order the meatloaf. The coleslaw appeared to be made from aging cabbage with visible brown and pink bruising throughout. To save myself a trip to urgent care, I passed on trying it. The mashed potatoes were the only thing that showed signs of life, but the gravy was so salty it could probably preserve a mummy and contained the dried skin that forms when gravy sits out too long. Even the lemon slices in our water glasses were slimy. The atmosphere felt less like a destination restaurant and more like the dining room of an assisted living facility. The average age of the patrons appeared to be somewhere around 78, which honestly started making sense once the food arrived. The hostess was very nice and our waitress was pleasant, but she seemed just as confused as we were about what was actually available on the menu. We left hungry, annoyed, and wondering how many other people had made the same pilgrimage after seeing that Instagram post. At this point, I have to question whether @laoc.eats actually eats at the places being promoted or just photographs them. This was our second disappointing restaurant recommendation from that account, and it may be the last time we use it as a dining guide. Forty minutes there. Forty minutes back. One edible side dish. I should have just stayed home and made a sandwich.

My friends and I were staying at a hotel nearby and decided to make the 15 minute walk over, and it ended up being one of the best parts of the trip. There were people studying, having conversations, relaxing with friends, and it just had that perfect coffee shop energy that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. The coffee itself was amazing. It tasted smooth, fresh, and honestly addictive without being overpowering. You could tell there was real care put into making it.
