I was invited to this Mexican restaurant and wasn't quite sure what to expect since it has a more casual vibe. What I can say is that the food completely exceeded my expectations. Absolutely disappointed in this place. After hearing all the rage we decided to give it a try. We ordered 3 quesabirria tacos plates and 1 blackened shrimp taco, extra salsa and the onions and cilantro on the side. When our order arrived, they only gave us 1 quesabirra taco plate and 1 fish taco. No salsa, onions or cilantro. My husband called rhe restaurant and the lady on the phone was very dismissive. She found the order and said "yeah it looks like we they only made the one plate and not the rest of the order, you can come in to pick it up" Im chronically ill and pick up was not an option. Saw this place in instagram and had to try it. You get a large portion for the price..yay! I got a chargrilled fish taco with pinto beans and a salad. Informally they don't have Spanish rice-why I got the salad and I was pleasantly surprised!! The salad came with dried cranberries..nuts...tomato..cheese with (I think) champagne vinaigrette.sooo fresh and really yummy. The Brussel Sprouts are also a standout. I believe they're fried... topped with a balsamic glaze.. very tasty. I saw this place trending on Instagram and wanted to give it a try. I was honestly expecting the bowl the influencer posted, but it was much smaller than I anticipated. The steak was good, but overall the food lacked flavor. It was quite a drive for me to get there, and personally, I'd rather go to Chipotle. The service was great, though, and they give you a free bag of chips, which was a nice touch. The sauce bar also has some great options. Came here on a whim as the wife has been talking about it. The place is small but mighty. It was VERY busy for 7:30pm on a Thursday. It's got a lot of seating for how small it is inside and outside. As well as three tv's to watch the sports games they have playing. They offer a decent amount of options, along with a soda fountain, and plenty of bottled beer to choose from. One negative for me is it is a Pepsi establishment. They do offer Coke and Diet Coke though in the beverage cooler. We ordered the asada burrito, along with the enchiladas plate, and a Cajun fish taco. We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures before we started eating. I can tell you this though. I was delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. The food came out quickly and piping hot. My favorite was the Cajun fish taco. Super fresh, and great flavor with a zip. Come here hungry, because the portions are good sizes. The burritos are huge and would probably feed two people no problem depending on how much you eat. The red sauce is way better than the green in my opinion. You can't go wrong with either one though. We are definitely going to go back to try the breakfast options, as well as on the days they have specials. Like the bean and cheese burritos for 5 bucks on Mondays! I know what you're thinking. Overhyped, pricey, all talk on social media. WELL THATS NOT THE CASE HERE. We were driving back to OC from visiting LA and made it a point to stop here since it's a bit out of the way from mid oc. Unassuming from the outside and a bit quiet inside as well, we were scared it was just a fad on social media. A one and done if you will. We showed the cashier (friendly and patient) the Instagram post with the nachos we wanted to order and also picked something we hadn't seen online. In a few minutes a waiter came out with the biggest, most loaded nachos I'd ever seen. As a nacho lover, I immediately thought of writing this into my funeral checklist. We started with the Meat Nachos with Carne Asada (amazing 5/5 - huge portion with generous amounts of cheese, guacamole and sour cream). Came here recently with my whole family and we all enjoyed it! The inside is very nice and clean-good vibe-and they had outdoor patio seating as well! Service did not take long at all. I tried the Cajun fish Taco combo. Just an fyi; the combo means the tacos + the rice and beans. It doesn't come with a drink- you have to order that separately if you want one. But I thought the tacos tasted really good and so did the rice and beans. My family ordered the carne asada plates as well as the breaded fish tacos. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had a great time here! I kept seeing them pop up on my phone so i made the drive to check them out. I'm a big fan of steak nachos and these guys make it really good! It comes with melted cheese, steak, sour cream, guacamole, beans with chips! Very good! Just wish they added a bit more asada to it. Maybe next time i will ask for a side of asada but overall, i was happy with it. They have beers, a self-serve fountain soda machine and other drinks behind the counter. Haven't been here in a few months, but I'm happy I came back to get MY FAVORITE Cajun Fish Plate TWO DAYS IN A ROW. Came back with another fan of the same plate and we've actually both been coming here since it opened. I always get the Cajun, with brussel sprouts and salad as my sides and you just CAN'T GO WRONG!! I hope this doesn't sound gross, but I can't eat the whole thing anymore, so I take about half or more to go... I had a container in the fridge for more than a "few" days (because I forgot it was there) and JUST looked at it and it still looked amazing, so I had it for lunch. The fish was still exceptional and the brussel sprouts were TO DIE FOR! Also, the salsa bar is Tony and the line is usually long and buttery up against tables where people are eating g. It's a lousy setup. I have seen this place in social media and have put it on my must try once I seen the nachos! The nachos I got were such a great portion and had plenty of cheese and steak bits. I also tried their shrimp tacos which were great. The location is in a small strip mall with other stores and restaurants but it was the only Mexican food spot I saw. I would definitely come back to try other food items especially since their breakfast items already have caught my attention. Ooops, I was going to review this sooner, but got busy! But this was a great experience! We came here because we were visiting a friend who lived nearby. It looks small, but is bigger on the inside. Very relaxed place with a modern feel; you order at the counter, and they brought the food to you. We ordered a chicken Mole enchillada, a VERY big fish burrito, and a cajun style grilled fish plate. Everything was very tasty, and flavorful. My husband's Mole enchillada looked pretty intense, lots of mole sauce, LOL. The burrito my friend ordered was huge!! I had a salad & rice with my fish, which was very moist and fresh, which was important to me. I was a bit surprised it was white rice, and had expected Spanish rice - that may be something they could consider? The portion on my plate was great though! Staff was quite friendly & helpful, answered questions we asked. They got VERY busy and it was interesting to see how quickly it filled up, and everyone seemed to be regulars here... I don't think it's as super authentic as say a taco truck for example, but the food is tasty, and definitely more fusion in style. I used to LOVE this spot. I'd get shredded beef tacos and it'd feel like the tacos were so stuffed that I left feeling really satisfied. Now when I go, the taco is more tortilla than it is protein. There's barely any meet in the actual taco. It's kind of disappointing. They also sell most things à la cart. So for example, you can get guacamole but chips are extra. I get if you're getting a small 2 ounce thing, you might want that for your taco so you don't necessarily need chips. But if ordering the larger 8 ounce option, it seems wild that by itself without chips that would be closer to $8. Usually when I go in, they keep the receipt because they don't require signature. But today the girl at the register tried to force me into an awkward tip. I read the receipt, "No signature required" and she bashfully took it back. It was mad awkward. Idk I think today was my last visit. Used to feel like a gem, now I leave hungry. :( read more

Carne Asada Nachos, Battered fish tacos, Chilaquiles (red and green sauce), grilled fish plate and hard shell tacos. Every dish is made fresh when ordered and tastes great. I knocked off 1 star though. Customer service vs. mini container: Here's why - they feature a salsa bar with fresh toppings you can top your dish with onions, cilantro, tomatillo salsa....BUT they offer a micro small take out plastic container. Not only is that container horrible for the environment, but it's too small for even a spoonful of salsa. So I asked for a bigger container for my condiments. And the cashier asked me if I had ordered take out. I said no. She wouldn't give me a bigger container! Ok now that's just ridiculous!!! I would need to use 5 micro containers for all the condiments and waste plastic not for recycle. Because they do not have a recycle bin. So what's the point in that?!? Use paper containers - one time use, regular size. Trust me, you won't lose money bc the price of every dish has gone up, it balances out. Price per dish - $20/ average or more $$$ Containers - too small, not recycling, ridiculous not to give your customers a bigger container Please change out the small plastic containers. 10/10 recommend for food. 3/10 for Cashier read more

Had a lunch meeting. I had two hard shell chicken tacos. Sorry no pictures since this was a business meeting. But the tacos were as expected. Crunchy, plenty of chicken, and a plate of of chopped romaine lettuce and tomatoes. They added a fair amount of extra lettuce. Their fish plate comes with rice and beans but they allow you to substitute. So if you want a salad instead of beans, then that is okay. Horchata was good, did not ask if it was made fresh or from a mix. Maybe some other reviewers did. The service is good, you order your food at the counter and they bring it out to your table if you are dining in. Live the music that they play in the background. NO BUENO. Fake Mexican Food and a Huge Disappointment. Avoid this place. The visual quality of the food does not match their Instagram posts at all. It is fake Mexican food at best. HUGE Disappointment. To put it bluntly, I would have had a vastly tastier meal at Chipotle. The Food: Sub-Par and Speed-Warmed Nothing on the plate had any FLAVOR, and the temperature of the food was warm at best. The Rice & Beans: The beans were warm/cold and entirely unseasoned. Shockingly, the rice was plain, white, and completely flavorless. White rice at a Mexican restaurant? Seriously? Chilaquiles: These were entirely ruined, hidden under a slab of meat and a strange, bright yellow egg substance. Scrambled Eggs: They had a terrible, distinct taste of powdered origin. Chile Relleno: This was obviously prepared way in advance and just reheated, as the inside was still completely cold. Fish Taco: This was delivered on a flat, no flavor, and cold tortilla. Pico de Gallo: It was completely mushy, which is a strong indication that they are using canned, cubed tomatoes instead of fresh ones. Gaslit by Staff When I confronted the staff about the complete lack of flavor, I was dismissed and told that their "customers rave about it." They are clearly out of touch. We have been going here for quite some time now and the food and portions have always been good! I will say though that they used to give a bag of chips with each order, but lately I did see that they do charge now.
