    Brussel Sprouts
    Sunday B.

Saw this place in instagram and had to try it. You get a large portion for the price..yay! I got a chargrilled fish taco with pinto beans and a salad. Informally they don't have Spanish rice-why I got the salad and I was pleasantly surprised!! The salad came with dried cranberries..nuts...tomato..cheese with (I think) champagne vinaigrette.sooo fresh and really yummy. The Brussel Sprouts are also a standout. I believe they're fried... topped with a balsamic glaze.. very tasty. You don't come for the ambiance..it was dinner time on a Thursday and it was crowded...and seating is pretty tight...nothing to get excited about.

    Chicken nachos

Tried this place today because I saw it on Facebook, and I was impressed! The food was delicious 10/10. I got the chicken nachos which are enough for 2. If you're a cheese lover like me, you'll love the top coat! They have pickled onion with habanero on the side, tasty and spicy. The location is small but the service and food are worth it.

Current menu. Smaller than I was expecting.

Came here on a whim as the wife has been talking about it. The place is small but mighty. It was VERY busy for 7:30pm on a Thursday. It's got a lot of seating for how small it is inside and outside. As well as three tv's to watch the sports games they have playing. They offer a decent amount of options, along with a soda fountain, and plenty of bottled beer to choose from. One negative for me is it is a Pepsi establishment. They do offer Coke and Diet Coke though in the beverage cooler. We ordered the asada burrito, along with the enchiladas plate, and a Cajun fish taco. We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures before we started eating. I can tell you this though. I was delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. The food came out quickly and piping hot. My favorite was the Cajun fish taco. Super fresh, and great flavor with a zip. Come here hungry, because the portions are good sizes. The burritos are huge and would probably feed two people no problem depending on how much you eat. The red sauce is way better than the green in my opinion. You can't go wrong with either one though. We are definitely going to go back to try the breakfast options, as well as on the days they have specials. Like the bean and cheese burritos for 5 bucks on Mondays! I definitely recommend this place if you're hungry for delicious food and friendly service.

    Steak California Bowl

I saw this place trending on Instagram and wanted to give it a try. I was honestly expecting the bowl the influencer posted, but it was much smaller than I anticipated. The steak was good, but overall the food lacked flavor. It was quite a drive for me to get there, and personally, I'd rather go to Chipotle. The service was great, though, and they give you a free bag of chips, which was a nice touch. The sauce bar also has some great options. Overall, it just wasn't my favorite but was great for the photos.

Cane asada burrito was good. Doulble beans no rice . Delicious. Just wish it was a little bigger. Will come back

The food here tastes so good, and the portions are generous and filling. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is nice and clean. A friend of mine discovered California Cocina about a month ago and recommended it to me, and I'm so glad he did. We'll definitely be back!!!

Half eaten delicious nachos with chicken! The chips are delicious too!

It's a very cute little neighborhood place with excellent Mexican food. The portions are very generous and extremely well seasoned ingredients. The chicken was so flavorful I was almost surprised! My sister and I shared the nachos and had leftovers to take home! They have a great Taco Tuesday too! No alcohol but that's ok.

Overall the food was good. I enjoyed the battered fish tacos, they were large and had good flavor. Their salsas were also tasty and a good level of spice. The nachos were very cheesy and a giant serving. The beans were a little watery though which made a lot of the chips soggy. Otherwise, everything else was enjoyable with our meal.

One carnitas and one chicken soft taco

Stopped in on the way home to check out their taco Tuesday menu. Place was clean, employees very friendly and the service was very fast. I wasn't that hungry, but was eager to try their tacos. I ordered a carnitas taco and a chicken taco. There's several other good choices too. The cost was $3.25 a taco and I have to say, they were very fresh, good quality, and generous portions. I am excited to go back with others and try a variety of dishes.

I know what you're thinking. Overhyped, pricey, all talk on social media. WELL THATS NOT THE CASE HERE. We were driving back to OC from visiting LA and made it a point to stop here since it's a bit out of the way from mid oc. Unassuming from the outside and a bit quiet inside as well, we were scared it was just a fad on social media. A one and done if you will. We showed the cashier (friendly and patient) the Instagram post with the nachos we wanted to order and also picked something we hadn't seen online. In a few minutes a waiter came out with the biggest, most loaded nachos I'd ever seen. As a nacho lover, I immediately thought of writing this into my funeral checklist. The torta that came out was indeed TORTA sized. The salsa bar had pico and jalapeños to add onto the nachos. Alls to say- come here. Show them the picture. more on ig: socalyumiez

Omg, get the nachos! We came hungry and left satisfied. We got the carne asada nachos with guacamole and sour cream on the side. There's just so much food, enough for two. The beans and meat are literally buried under all that cheese. Delicious!

    Two Enchiladas Combo (green sauce)

I saw this place on TikTok a few times over the past year so when I saw it was down the street from an event we were at, I decided to try it out. We started with the Meat Nachos with Carne Asada (amazing 5/5 - huge portion with generous amounts of cheese, guacamole and sour cream). Next we tried the Queso Birria Tacos (4/5 - good flavor, great consome). Last, we tried the Enchilada Plate (4/5 - good green sauce with excellent black beans and rice). Overall good experience and would come back to try more items from the menu.

And do not be fooled, the salsa is actually pretty spicy, not insanely spicy as I was still able to enjoy my food. I had been waiting years to eat this burrito and it did not disappoint. The service is also great, there was one dude on the floor doing all the bussing and ordering but he was on it. Props to that guy. Also I loved the banda music playing in the back, it really seals the deal on the vibe the restaurant has going.

It was bright like a fast food joint, but had table service and beer, wine and margaritas. We were a fairly good sized group of 9 and sat side by side on two booths that were separated by a glass partition that they removed. My brother-in-law told me the place is packed on the weekends and, judging by the food, I don't doubt it. The portions are big and the flavors strong, but not overpowering. The sampler plate is enough to share and is a good choice for someone who wants a little bit of everything. The carnitas were really good. It wasn't dry and the pieces were thin cut slices. With my flour tortillas and their delicious salsa, it was mouthwateringly good. The chicken fajitas, like the sampler, were enough to share. In fact, my wife and mother-in-law shared a plate. The molcajete was sizzling hot with delicious fish and shrimp and pulpo (octopus). I'm not a pulpo fan, but my brother-in-law ate everything and said it was delicious. Parking is tight and if you're traveling too fast on Carson going eastbound you might miss it. If you're traveling westbound, you need to turn on the street before the restaurant. The staff were really nice and polite and even sang happy birthday to my brother-in-law and gave him a sombrero for the pics, to boot. It truly was a wonderful night of family and good food and a place we'll put on our regular rotation soon.

I got one each of every taco available: pork al pastors, everything else was beef : cheek, lengua, asada, cabeza, labio- every meat morsel was tender and delicious. Casual dining: you place your order and the food is prepared quickly. Served a refreshing jamaica (I hope I spelled that right) - just enough tangy to sweetness flavor, also tried the horchata .
