Two of my long time girlfriends and I decide to meet up yesterday for Happy Hour, we decided to eat indoors due to the heat, it was a bit warm inside as well, that's probably our only complaint!! Gerardo is an amazing server! He was practically running the restaurant on his own. Later, I found out he was also the bartender. I was truly impressed by how he managed everything so professionally--making drinks, running food, and even preparing tableside guacamole, all while providing excellent service. Ok I love Acapulco and I have yet to come to this location. This location architecture is def different from the others ones. It's on the water and has outside patio seating. I also love that they have even an upstairs. It's a great ambiance for sure! The service was a lil rocky once we arrived because it took around 15 minute for a hostess to come. However, we told the manager David and he accommodated us. He's been working for Acalpulco for years and it was good to see him again. For our food I got the ACA protein bowl . It was very tasty and I had no complaints!! My friend food was wrong but they fixed it and made it correct. I love this Acapulco and I will be back!! Daniel and Arturo were amazing. Everything was completely taken care of the entire time every time I finish my drink there was another one on its way over it was pretty cool. Came in after a day of kayaking nearby. We sat in the bar and were given chips & salsa right away. We realized it was happy hour so we ordered a margarita each. The mango margaritas were perfect and the taco bar was calling my name. They had several protein options including carne asada, chicken, fish, and carnitas along with beans, sautéed veggies, taco toppings and a couple salsa options. I went with one fish and one chicken along with some beans. The fresh cooked tortillas and topping choices were delicious. Two tacos and some beans was the perfect amount for me. This is a place I used to go regularly but the location near me closed down. I'll be visiting again when I'm in the area. read more

Walking into Acapulco brought back so many great memories! It was such a nostalgic experience, i really missed coming here back when I lived in the Valley. We stopped in for drinks and appetizers. We always love the view of the water whether seated inside or outside. The table side guacamole was good and so were the buffalo wings. The drinks however were nothing short of sweet water. All nine people at our table had the same complaint from margaritas to the lemon drops. We've eaten here several times and somehow never left a review, so it's definitely overdue! Today we ordered the trio fajitas with shrimp, steak, and chicken, and every bite was incredible. The real highlight was Edgar, who fired everything up tableside and made the whole experience so much fun. I honestly don't understand how this restaurant has so many positive reviews, but here's my experience. We came for dinner as a party of four (two adults and two kids). When we arrived, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to seat us. Once the host finally arrived, every time I tried to ask a question or tell him something, he would turn away mid-conversation to talk to someone else. We requested patio seating, which was fine at first, but the mosquitoes were unbearable. Since that's an outdoor area, I didn't fault the restaurant for that. We asked to move inside, and the staff accommodated us. Unfortunately, the mosquito problem was just as bad indoors. Within about 10 minutes, we had been bitten repeatedly. At that point, the only thing on our table was a small basket of chips and salsa. We had asked for water several times, but it never arrived. To make matters worse, many of the tables around us were dirty, with dishes and leftover food still sitting on them from previous guests. After waiting with no one coming to take our order, we decided to leave. We ended up having a great dinner on Second Street instead. Between the lack of service, the unsanitary dining area, and the mosquito problem inside the restaurant, I genuinely don't understand how this place meets health standards. It also felt like the staff simply didn't care. Unfortunately, this was enough for us--we won't be coming back. read more

Updated Review 2026 Was greeted and seated. Went here for happy Hour. Ordered a pitcher of Margarita, chicken wings and enchiladas. Our waitress was nice and professional. She provided us waters and chips. No complaints on our waitress, she provided excellent service. I do have a problem with the wings they provided. They were TINY!!! Taste was just Meh, nothing extravagant or impressive. Enchiladas were good. Rule of thumb, you go to a Mexican Restaurant to order Mexican food, not chicken wings! Next time I will stick to Mexican food. Lol. Now I know. Good ambiance and good experience this time around. Mexican food is good and service was great! Plenty of parking. 10/10 experience. Food was good. Ambiance nice for a nice dinner. Service = top tier. Gerardo was our waiter. Got us all our drinks, appetizers, and meals no problem. Until there was one. I ordered the 3 flavor fajitas (Fajita Gigante) medium with my brother. His skirt steak came out juicy and delicious. Mine came out well done and dry. Gerardo asked if everything was okay, I said no the steak was not medium and he gladly took it back. Unfortunately it came back well done again. I checked it for the same piece and it WAS a different piece. He asked if I wanted to send it back again and at that point I was tired. I didn't want to argue with a professional chef that wants to serve me well done twice when I ask for medium. Gerardo saw my internal conflict and said, "I'll get the manager for you." Cue manager David. David came in with a very positive attitude and said, "We couldn't get your steak right, could we?" He continued to say, "are you okay with medium rare?" And I said yes I'll try it. He comes back not 5 minutes later with a delicious juicy steak with double the portion. I tried it and man, that was good. Came here for a baby shower. It's a beautiful location, right at the marina and there is marina views for seating. The ambiance is festive and calming with the beautiful view. We were placed in the banquet room on the 2nd floor and the event had private servers from the restaurant. They were very friendly and moved quickly. I have no complaints about the service. I was not happy with the food. The steak/Asada was extremely salty. I could not finish my tacos because even with the guac, sour cream, lettuce, and cheese burritos didn't- I couldn't cut past the salt. The beans were ok. They were creamy and had flavor. The cheese enchiladas lacked flavor and cheese was congealed to the tortillas. I was not a fan. The salsa was ok but the chips were stale so I didn't eat it. The flan was delicious but I prefer it chilled and they had it sitting out. Overall, it was underwhelming and I wouldn't eat here again. I gave them 3 stars because of the service! read more

We are diehard burrito and fajita lovers, but wanted something a little different, lighter for our early dinner this time. Hubby opted for their taco bar. I had read good things about their Seafood Trio, so I gave it a try. We sat inside since the weather was a little windy and chilly, but I love that view of the marina. The manager who seated us was excellent, pleasant and conversational. I commented on the bright, fun artwork throughout the restaurant and feeling festive. He suggested going upstairs to look at their banquet room. We had never seen it before! It was very cool. The server was upbeat and lively and brought chips and salsa to the table right away, Salsa was good, but the chips were salted- I'm not used to that. I couldn't eat more than a couple. I guess it encourages more cocktails!! She suggested starting with three tacos from the taco bar and printed a ticket for my hubby to present to the young lady manning the taco bar. At $3 a taco, it was a good deal. It was fun watching her prepare and grill the mini tortillas. taco. After a little confusion about how it worked (due to us not speaking any Spanish and she not understanding or speaking any English) hubby figured out that she served the meat onto the tortillas and then he could load on the other ingredients. Hubby chose two fried cod and one carnitas. He added cilantro, beans, onions and cheese, plus a little hot sauce that was not very spicy. The fish tacos were okay, but the carnitas taco was outstanding!! He had asked her for a little extra gravy on it from the pork pot, but she only smiled. Communication gap! One other thing hubby noted was that since he was the only one in line at the time, his portions were served from the top of the bowls of meat; they might have stayed hotter if covered. By the time he got his plate to the table the tacos were not even warm. My seafood plate was very attractive. I would have loved a couple more shrimp (who wouldn't!?), but the three items went well together. Salmon was cooked nicely, too. I would have liked more enchilada sauce, though, since the ramekin of mystery sauce served on the side tasted rancid. We could not tell what it was and the server didn't know the ingredients, either. Other than that it was a delicious plate of food. We will probably stick to our burritos and fajitas but it was worth giving the other menu items a try. They usually have a promotion or two happening, and as a rewards club member you get a complementary entrée on your birthday! Great deal! read more

I had the opportunity to visit for the Sunday brunch buffet, and I am still dreaming about it days later. I wish that I could fit more food because I loved the flavors of everything that I tried. There is so much to choose from - build your own omelet station, a taco station in addition to hot and cold classic Mexican dishes. Even the simple rice and refried beans are so delicious - Acapulco's rice and beans have always tasted superior to El Torito's rice and beans, in my opinion. Our waitress kept our bottomless mimosas filled to the brim and was very helpful. Although the restaurant was busy, it never felt overwhelmingly crowded. Every relationship needs checks and balances, one person to keep the other alive when their "common sense meter" is running low. Yesterday we planned to see a movie before Thanksgiving dinner and decided on a quick lunch in the same strip mall. He even sent me a Yelp link to the Mexican smash burger place by AMC that literally says "check store hours directly because of the holiday." Me: "Honey, do you know if it's open today?" Him: "Yeah, I checked, it is." So off we go, an hour before showtime... and yup. It's closed. Me: "Jeezus, I ASKED you if they're open today." ‍ Him: "It said online it was open!" Me: "But did you contact them directly or see it say specifically they're open on Thanksgiving? It's a holiday..." ‍ Him: "oh yeah." This was my first time trying their brunch and I would say it's pretty comparable to El Toritos brunch. The restaurant has an old Spanish aesthetic which I liked. The brunch is all you can eat and includes bottomless mimosas for $40. That is honestly a steal! They have fresh tortillas made from scratch they make to order. There are a variety of protein options with all the fixings for tacos. I also tried the regular shrimp and white fish ceviche and the aguachile. The aguachile ceviche was so refreshing and had the perfect amount of heat. They also had an omelette bar which I loved. The service was a bit slow at first but they made sure to come around often to make sure our mimosas were topped off and chips and salsa were replenished. I would definitely come back! read more

My daughter and I came here for brunch today. First timer and I really enjoyed it. Food was hot and very tasty. Omelette station was a little bit slow but not bad. Server was Al's a little slow but I don't blame him since there were so many people dining. Food selections were enchiladas, tacos station, carnes in chile, desserts, and drinks. This Steak Asada Burrito could be the best burrito I have ever had. It was so good and fresh tasting. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked. It had plenty of meat and the vegetables in there were deliciously tender. The flavors blended perfectly. We ate outside mid-day and the view was amazing watching the boats come and go. There was a nice breeze coming through, it was lovely. They have a buffet that looked amazing, I will have to try it some time. I can't wait till I go there again. Happy hour after a long day of work! What better place than Acapulco in Marina Pacifica for 4 ladies to relax. A gentleman at the front desk welcomed me and escorted me to our table on the patio. It seemed to be nice and was in a shaded area all the way to the far left by an outside exit door. Isabel was our server, I arrived first and requested 4 glasses of water with lemon. The water came promptly with one bowl of chips and 2 dishes of salsa. I devoured one dish before my party arrived. It took about 10-15 min before more chips and salsa came. We had questions on the Happy hour I.e, what was on the: HH menu, on the buffet and what drinks were on HH. After another 15 mins we were able to get her attention and she went over what was on the buffet and said, " I will look for a HH menu " it took a while and when I did see her again and we made eye contact she went back and got the menu. We ordered drinks and discussed leaving amongst ourselves for another restaurant. But, I wanted to eat after having a margarita., the drinks were ok except for one was ordered as blended and came on-the-rocks. Finally we were able to order food and our food came out pretty quick. The presentation was great, well except for the guacamole. it was very bland. We had to request salt as there was no salt or pepper on the table. Aside from the guacamole,m, I did over-hear that the Al pastor meat in the tacos had a lot of hard pieces and was greasy. The fish taco from the buffet (not pictured)?, the chicken quesadilla and the nachos were good. As we are enjoying company and eating, the city trash truck came and lifted the trash bin approximately 4X, emptying the trash into the truck. Our table was inundated with flies and the debris could be seen in the air. The manager Jeanie came by to check on our table. We indicated no issues as we didn't want to complain. We received the bill and Isabel didn't return. We were chit chatting and still having a good time. I was able to get Isabel's attention and requested the manager. We shared our experience with Jeanie not to get our server in trouble,but to provide feedback on areas to improve. Jeanie was appreciative that we did share our experience and provided a favorable resolution to our concerns. read more

Luis Miguel was absolute perfection at our party! He was attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure our guests were taken care of. He was constantly circulating and making sure everyone's drinks stayed full. He was proactive in clearing empty glasses and keeping the tables spotless throughout the entire event.
